Di ff erences were observed in the types of remission achieved with di ff erent therapeutic options, in fl iximab and 5-ASA were the treatments most frequently associated with deep remission, while certolizumab and adalimumab were more common in biochemical and histological remission. It is important to note sample size which was relatively small. In conclusion, this study provides strong evidence that histological remission is achievable in patients with ulcerative colitis. Conclusions: Our study identi fi ed various risk factors that worsen inpatient outcomes in pregnant patients with IBD and cardiac arrhythmias. Our study is novel because there is a paucity of data that investigate theclinical outcomes associated withthis specialpopulation. Furthermore, all 4 patients required sirolimus discontinuation due to adverse e ff ects. With minimal data currently available for use of sirolimus therapy in adults with refractory IBD, our fi ndings suggest that its role may be limited by treatment-derived adverse e ff ects.
