Terdapat tiga aspek yang harus diperhatikan, yakni durasi dari proyek agar terhindar dari delay, pendanaan yang baik untuk mengatasi cost overrun, dan perhitungan bunga dari pendanaan dengan memperhatikan limit nominal yang ditentukan. One of the most important materials in this industry is the reinforced steel bar. In construction site usually fabricated the reinforced steel bars into the form of one-dimensional stocks and designed according to the structural specification and installed in various structural components such as columns, beam, slab, and foundation. The purpose of cutting stock problems for reinforced steel bars (rebar cutting plan, RCP) is to satisfy the project requirements and also to minimize the cutting losses, which is the major contributor to the construction waste As there are two objective functions, we call the problem bi-objective rebar cutting plan (B-RCP). In the previous research, efforts developed the metaheuristics method to minimize the cutting losses in preliminary engineering designs but it few to consider about simplicity in order to achieve efficient work. Thus, this research applies the bi-optimization with epsilon constraint in order to find the trade-off solution between the material waste and number of cutting pattern for decision making. This study proposed the metaheuristic method Symbiotic Organisms Search (SOS) to solve B-RCP in one framework, to find the feasible cutting patterns along with the minimum total waste of the reinforced steel bar. To test the performance of the proposed SOS framework, the previous study case is set to be a benchmark, and then create a comparison with PSO. For real project instances of RCP are used to evaluate and validate the performance of SOS. The validation results from both cases of RCP show that SOS has better performance than PSO in both minimize the material waste along reducing the number of cutting patterns. Multiple execution modes allow the activities to have different duration and resource requirement. Furthermore, companies and project managers normally also handle many projects. This study proposed metaheuristic method Symbiotic Organisms Search (SOS) along with random-key (RK) representations, parallel schedule generation scheme (P-SGS), and forward backward scheduling, to find the feasible schedule and minimal project duration of the project portfolio. The evaluation results from standard benchmark instances shows that SOS can get the best solution in most of the tested instances and also achieve better solution in some of them. The validation results from real project case MRCMPSP show that SOS has better performance than other tested metaheuristic methods, namely GA and PSO. In a project, an inefficient activity of cutting steel rebar can result a waste in the form of trim loss. This can lead to profit loss and cause an impact to environment. The optimization needs to be done in order to minimize the trim loss from the steel rebar cutting. Previously, there has been many studies on steel bar trim loss optimization using metaheuristic methods as well as studies on cutting pattern generator. However, if the steel rebar variation is too many, the cutting pattern generator will produce a large number of cutting patterns. Therefore, this study aims to solve the optimization problem by producing more efficient cutting pattern while still obtaining minimum trim loss at any conditions. The data used in this research is obtained from a real-life office project. In the process, the study will be comparing the performance of both PSO and SOS from each cutting patterns generator and conditions. The performance of the two methods is assessed from its minimum, maximum, average, standard deviation and the convergence graph of each iteration. Keselamatan kerja merupakan hal yang sangat penting pada proyek konstruksi, salah satu cara untuk agar keselamatan kerja dapat terwujud adalah melaksanakan manajemen K3 dengan baik, sehingga membuat para pekerja konstruksi dapat mematuhi standard dan peraturan K3 yang telah ditentukan oleh perusahaan dengan bantuan dari sosok pemimpin yang bisa menjadi contoh. Manajemen adalah ilmu dan seni mengatur proses pemanfaatan sumber daya manusia dan sumber-sumber lainnya secara efektif dan efisien untuk mencapai suatu tujuan tertentu. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada pekerja yang bekerja dibidang kontraktor dan manajemen konstruksi. Analisa pengaruh manajemen K3 terhadap kinerja karyawan menghasilkan nilai t-statistik 3.208, sedangkan analisa pengaruh manajemen K3 terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan peran moderasi gaya kepemimpinan transaksional menghasilkan variabel moderat dengan nilai signifikansi 0.007 lebih kecil dari 0.05. The MITC3+ element used is a development of the MITC3 element whose performance is considered quite good and can overcome problems that arise in the application of conventional Kriging-based finite elements, one of which is the shear-locking. The application of Kriging interpolation on MITC3+ elements is carried out with the Kriging shape function formulation in the formation of the bending stiffness matrix only. The elements are then tested with various benchmark problems such as Patch Test, hard clamped square plate, Rhombic Plate, and its ability to solve complex-shaped plates. The results showed that the MITC3+ was able to avoid the shear-locking mechanism and also produce an accurate solution. Ketika resource yang dibutuhkan tidak cukup, proyek dapat terlambat dari jadwal yang sudah direncanakan. Permasalahan ini disebut juga Resource Constrained Project Scheduling Problem (RCPSP) dan penelitian ini menggunakan algoritma metaheuristik untuk menyelesaikannya. Symbiotic Organism Search (SOS) merupakan algoritma metaheuristik yang dibuat oleh Cheng dan Prayogo dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan optimasi yang rumit dalam berbagai bidang. Algoritma ini bersifat kontinu dan terdiri dari tiga fase utama, yaitu mutualisme, komensalisme, dan parasitisme. Percobaan SOS dilakukan menggunakan jadwal proyek yang sedang berjalan di Surabaya dengan membatasi resource sebanyak 75%, 50%, dan kebutuhan paling minimal dari total resource awal. Hasil percobaan algoritma SOS terbukti dapat menyelesaikan RCPSP dengan membandingkan dengan solver dari program lainnya, namun hasil pembatasan minimal lebih terlambat. Salah satu material konstruksi yang sangat banyak digunakan dan menimbulkan waste ialah besi beton bertulang, terutama apabila variasi potongan tulangan cukup banyak. Waste tersebut diakibatkan pemotongan tulangan yang tidak optimal. Integer linear programming merupakan metode yang terbukti efektif dalam menyelesaikan banyak permasalahan optimasi yang bersifat linear. Namun, masih sedikit yang mengaplikasikan integer linear programming pada problem optimasi pemotongan besi tulangan dengan banyak variasi potongan tulangan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan mengevaluasi sejauh mana tingkat keberhasilan optimasi metode integer linear programming dalam upaya untuk memperoleh waste besi beton paling minimum dengan bantuan program MATLAB. Data yang digunakan ialah besi beton berdiameter 13mm pada pembangunan sebuah proyek gudang. Penggunaan monte carlo simulation dalam melakukan perencanaan penjadwalan memperhitungkan risiko-risiko ketidakpastian yang menggunakan durasi probabilistik dalam setiap durasi aktivitas pekerjaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan meneliti penggunaan cara alternatif dalam mengestimasi durasi probabilistik apabila data historis tidak bisa didapatkan. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah penggunaan monte carlo simulation dalam melakukan perencanaan penjadwalan dapat menghasilkan model penjadwalan yang lebih sesuai dengan kondisi aktual apabila dibandingkan dengan menggunakan critical path method. Namun, seiring berjalannya waktu kerusakan apartemen merupakan hal yang pasti terjadi dan harus ditangani untuk bisa menjaga kepuasan dari penghuni apartemen. Penelitian ini meneliti kepuasan penghuni terhadap respon manajemen dalam menangani kerusakan yang terjadi pada apartemen. Kerusakan yang dianalisa adalah kerusakan struktural, non struktural di dalam dan di luar unit apartemen. Data diperoleh melalui kuisioner pada penghuni apartemen di Surabaya sejumlah 100 responden, data diolah dan diuji menggunakan analisa Partial Least Square. Hasil uji menampilkan kerusakan non struktural apartemen memberi pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap respon manajemen properti. Sedangkan kerusakan struktural dan kerusakan di luar unit apartemen tidak memberi pengaruh. Respon manajemen properti juga memberi dampak yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan penghuni bangunan.
