However, the efficient operation and control is limited due to the complexity of nonlinear and biochemical phenomena involved. This paper proposes an appropriate combinational model based on improved back propagation (BP) neural network to forecast effluent ammonia nitrogen concentration in anammox process, the network is optimized by the principal component analysis algorithm. As a result, the proposed PCA-BP model is a precise and efficient tool for predicting the effluent ammonia nitrogen concentration with determination coefficients (R2) was 0.997, the root mean square normalized error (RMSE) and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) between the predicted and observed values was 17.47 and 16.07%. Therefore, the integration model can be applied in the actual measurement to timely estimate the effluent ammonia nitrogen concentration from other variables easily measured. Furthermore, the proposed model is promising for future applications of the controller in anammox process and as a tool to help systematically design logic control applications for other biological processes.","PeriodicalId":187056,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Applications (ICCIA)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128200898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the process of reconfiguration of satellites, satellites anti-collision research is one of the most important links. In this paper, by collapsing the initial covariance matrix of the satellite, the collision probability density function is integrated in the region containing the satellite. The collision probability of formation satellites is obtained. When the collision probability is greater than the security threshold, two avoidance strategies (increase the long axis of the formation satellites and increase the track drift distance of the formation satellites) are proposed based on the Gaussian perturbation equation. The simulation experiments show that the method has great significance for the collision between satellites.","PeriodicalId":187056,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Applications (ICCIA)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114879200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The training data patterns are processed incrementally. If a data pattern is not similar enough to an existing cluster, it forms a new cluster of its own. However, if a data pattern is similar enough to an existing cluster, it is added to the most similar cluster. During the clustering process, weights are learned for each cluster. For a given series of time-stamped data up to time t, we divide it into a set of training patterns. By using the weighted self-constructing clustering, the training patterns are grouped into a set of clusters. A radial basis function (RBF) network is then constructed, for which the obtained clusters are served as the basis functions of the hidden neurons. To forecast the value at time t + 1, the input pattern is fed into the resulting RBF network and the corresponding network output is taken as the estimation. Experimental results are shown to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.","PeriodicalId":187056,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Applications (ICCIA)","volume":"414 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124429321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The deep impact caused by the wildfire in natural ecosystems, such as woodlands and forests, makes essential the development of new methodologies and techniques to mitigate the wildfire expansion. In this paper we propose a framework for aiding to determine the best plan to attack dynamic wildfires composed of several seats of fire. This framework includes an algorithm inspired by swarm intelligence that is based on Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and Dynamic Programming. The main goal of this algorithm is to analyse and find the shortest paths between the diverse regions of a woodland, and prioritize the extinction tasks over the diverse active seats of fire. The framework is based on a theoretical model that allows us to represent the main elements of the environment in which fire spreads. The spread of the wildfire is represented by a model based on cellular automata. The implemented tool provides a visual functionality to model landscapes in detail.","PeriodicalId":187056,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Applications (ICCIA)","volume":"162 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126577333","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis of these textual contents for sentiments is a gold mine for marketing experts, thus automatic sentiment analysis is a popular area of applied artificial intelligence. We propose a latent syntactic structure-based approach for sentiment analysis which requires only sentence-level polarity labels for training. Our experiments on three domains (movie, IT products, restaurant) show that a sentiment analyzer that exploits syntactic parses and has access only to sentence-level polarity annotation for in-domain sentences can outperform state-of-the-art models that were trained on out-domain parse trees with sentiment annotation for each node of the trees. In practice, millions of sentence-level polarity annotations are usually available for a particular domain thus our approach is applicable for training a sentiment analyzer for a new domain while it can exploit the syntactic structure of sentences as well.","PeriodicalId":187056,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Applications (ICCIA)","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116193285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
