Unlike electric drives operating under deterministic perturbations, the optimizing methods of such electric drives are based not on differential but on stochastic equations that determine the connection between electric drive coordinates and disturbances statistical characteristics. The efficiency of such electric drives can be increased by creating closed-loop control systems with optimal statistical parameters. In the case when the electric drive is the actuator of the external technological process control system, the internal contour of the electric drive closed loop control system is a tracking system with time-varying task signal. A method for a digital PID controller synthesis of tracking electric drive was developed, where a velocity constant is used as an optimizing parameter. This parameter allows minimizing settling time at the linear task signal and the tracking error.","PeriodicalId":187043,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 6th International Conference on Energy Smart Systems (ESS)","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117172735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method is based on analytical decomposition of non-linear equations for current-voltage characteristics on the dimensionless small parameters and the subsequent fast convergence iterative procedure. When solving a system of non-linear equations, it is not necessary to specify the initial values of the PV module parameters, as is necessary in the Newton-Raphson method. The developed method shows stable work with measurements carried out in variable solar irradiation and good agreement of calculated current-voltage characteristic with preprocessed experimental ones.","PeriodicalId":187043,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 6th International Conference on Energy Smart Systems (ESS)","volume":"102 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116192414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, the integral and frequency methods are mostly used to define reactive power and do not give high accuracy in the calculations of power balance or cannot describe the essence of physical processes. The problem is complicated in DC electric transport systems due to random impulse character of voltages and currents. As a comparison, the calculation of reactive power according to various approaches was performed for the DE1 electric locomotive. It is suggested that the instantaneous reactive power should be used for the analysis of electromagnetic exchange processes in DC power systems. The paper shows the definition and main formulas for defining the instantaneous reactive power taking into consideration the random character of voltage and current. Numerical calculations together with statistical analysis were performed for two variants of experimentally recorded voltages and currents: the first one - on the bus-bar of traction substation, which supplies the section with the Pendolino trains in Poland and the second one - on the current collector of the VL8 electric locomotive in Ukraine. They confirm the validity of the aforementioned method.","PeriodicalId":187043,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 6th International Conference on Energy Smart Systems (ESS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121791279","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Structural-parametric identification of the power consumption model of the pumping station is accomplished using the combinatorial algorithm of the group method of data handling. This allows receiving candidate-models set, each of which is the best in its basic functions class, for each typical day of each season. The selection of a better structure of the power consumption model is realized based on the criteria for its adequacy (regularity, translation minimum, Schwartz, determination coefficient) and accuracy of the forecast using the morphological criterion. As a result, a structured multifactor model of power consumption is constructed. This model is adapted to the water supply regime for a typical day type of the appropriate season. The developed power consumption models allow taking into consideration the actual conditions of the pumping station functioning caused by the influence of seasonal and social factors. They take into consideration the cyclic changes of the technological process in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 50000 standards series. This allows determining the energy baseline for a specific time interval.","PeriodicalId":187043,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 6th International Conference on Energy Smart Systems (ESS)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124730003","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, usage of transformerless inverters that have no galvanic isolation from mains implies addressing specific problem with common-mode voltage which may be present on the PV panels with respect to mains. In order to meet the safety requirements of leakage currents, an original design of a non-isolated grid-tie inverter is proposed which eliminates any high-frequency common-mode voltage by directly connecting the negative PV array terminal to mains neutral. The proposed inverter circuit topology has only 4 power swithes, 2 of which are commutating on the mains frequency. The inverter have the ability to control the waveshape of the mains current ensuring high power factor as well as maximum power point tracking (MPPT) capability allowing maximum power draw from a PV panel array. An experimental grid-tie inverter prototype is built for concept proving.","PeriodicalId":187043,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 6th International Conference on Energy Smart Systems (ESS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127082006","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
