Structural aspects of Psi layer and SnO2:CuO nanostructures were inspected by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Sensing performances of the prepared sensor were investigated essentially in a vacuum case and with NH3 gas of different concentrations 50 ppm, 100 ppm, and 150 ppm at the room temperature. XRD analysis showed a small nanocrystallite and a large specific surface area that could improve the gas sensing application, and the FE-SEM features depicted a tree-like structure that made the material adsorb a huge amount of ammonia molecules. Topography of the area displayed a roughness with a small average grain size surface. The sensing performances of Al/SnO2/PSi/Al, and Al/SnO2:CuO/PSi/Al sensors are governed by the CuO content. The best sensing for NH3 gas was obtained at 30% CuO nanoparticles added to 70% SnO2. FMC has been used to increase the incident irradiance on solar panel system by concentrating the sun light ray on it and then to improve the cell performance. A comparison is made between two PV solar panel systems with and without concentrator. The FMC consists of two flat mirrors made of glass, with dimensions (146cm × 68cm) enclosed by aluminum frame and connected at an angle 60 ° with a solar panel (147cm × 68cm) tilted at 45° from the horizon. The results indicated that when the concentrator is used with the solar panel the efficiency increased by a factor of (51%) to (64%) and the variation in efficiency (Δƞ) is (25.4%), the variation in maximum output power (ΔPm) is (17%) and all solar parameters increased. Autonomous operation of the system produces about 100 l/day in extreme desert conditions in yearly average according to simulations. As a result, the linear attenuation coefficient (µ) and Zeff reduce by rising the energy of the gamma rays, While the Half value layer increases with energy. The material was cut to 50mm diameter with jig saw to fit into brass profile of the automatic Lee's disc thermal conductivity apparatus. This profile was also used to conduct the specific heat capacity test by employing the method of mixtures. The specific heat capacity, density, thermal conductivity, thermal resistivity, thermal diffusivity, thermal effusivity and cooling rate are 1563J/kgK, 158kg/m3, 0.12 Wm−1K−1, 8.68mKW−1, 4.86 x 10−7 m2s−1, 172.15 Jm−2K−1s−1/2 and 0.0014 °C/sec. The high energy values of specific heat and thermal effusivity shows the reluctance of the material to dissipate energy to the surrounding which approves it as a building material insulator. The values are within the class of insulating material required in building technology such as building ceiling tiles. Eco-friendly, simple and cost-effective co-precipitation method was used to synthesize CuO NPs. The effect of the calcination temperature (100, 250 and 400 °C)and solvent (water and ethanol) on the synthesis process of nanoparticles was studied. UV-VIS spectroscopy was used to measure the absorption spectra of CuO NPs. The functional groups and the interaction between copper and oxygen were detected by FTIR. The size (18-33 nm), roughness (2-8 nm ) and purity of synthesized CuO NPs were examined by AFM and EDX. CuO NPs were pure as showed by the spectra of EDX with weight percentage for O (19-28wt%) and Cu ( 64-77wt %). Different volumes (12.5 µl,25 µ1,50 µ1,75 µ1,100 µ1 and 150 µl) of CuO NPs with 150 µg /ml were used to evaluate their antimicrobial activity against Leishmania (Leishmania donovani and Leishmania Tropica). It has been found that as the calcination temperature increases, the size of nanoparticle increases due to atomic diffusion. The size of nanoparticles at the same calcination temperature is smaller when using ethanol as a solvent instead of water due to the difference in the alcoholic chain. FE-SEM images show that the diameters of the prepared MWCNTs is up to several micrometers in length and also some of ZnO and Se NPs were closely linked to the surface of MWCNTs. So, the diameter of the coated MWCNTs was increased as a result. XRD shows that the prepared ZnO-Se-MWCNTs nanocomposite has a homogeneous structure with average crystallite sizes (30.86-56) nm. UV-Vis. Spectra show enhancement of absorption for ZnO-Se-MWCNTs nanocomposite material in comparison with MWCNTs. The characteristics of current-voltage heterojunction showed that the forward bias current change nearly exponentially with the applied voltage in dark and this is consistent with tunneling –recombination model. The fill factor of the fabricated n-Si/ZnO/Se/MWCNTs nanocomposite solar cell was 50 %, while the efficiency η was 7 under illumination.I-V Characteristics of n-Si/ZnO/Se/MWCNTs nanocomposite solar cell fabricated by solvothermal technique were investigated, deals with the fabrication of heterojunction solar cell was by deposited ZnO-Se-MWCNTs nanocomposite on the n-Si substrate using Pulsed Laser Deposition technique. FE-SEM images show that the diameters of the prepared MWCNTs is up to several micrometers in length and also some of ZnO and Se NPs were closely linked to the surface of MWCNTs. So, the diameter of the coated MWCNTs was increased as a result. XRD shows that the prepared ZnO-Se-MWCNTs nanocomposite has a homogeneous structure with average crystallite sizes (30.86-56) nm. UV-Vis. Spectra show enhancement of absorption for ZnO-Se-MWCNTs nanocomposite material in comparison with MWCNTs. In addition, the study evaluated the effect of drug treatment (pentostam) and the combination treatment of pentostan and CAP at different doses and incubation time 24 h in order to assess the most effective treatment. The duration of the cold plasma doses was 1 min, 2 min and 3 min, while the pentostam doses were 2.5 µg/ml and 5 µg/ml. The combinations therapies included combining the three cold plasma doses with the pentostam doses to test 6 combinations of treated in vitro.
