Abstract

In this paper, the research methodology adopted here is to estimate the parameters for Generalized Lomax distribution by using five different estimation methods (maximum likelihood (ML), least square (LS), weighted least square (WLS), regression (Rg) and moment estimation (MOM). The reliabilities of the two multicomponent S out of K stress-strength system are derivate and be estimated by the same estimation methods, a comparison among the five different estimators is made by Mont-Carlo simulation study using mean square error(MSE) and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) criteria, the results show that the maximum likelihood estimator (ML) was the best between them.
