There is widespread agreement that improving a composite's insulating properties by adding micron-sized particles is possible. To enhance these composites when used for outdoor electrical insulation, various fillers such as alumina trihydrate and silica are used. In this study, the effect of micro filler Silica with various contents on the electrical and mechanical properties of blending of SiR and EPDM with different weight ratios was studied. Test samples were prepared using two roll mill. To analyze the electrical characteristics, AC breakdown tests were conducted following IEC 60243-1 Standard. Tensile strength and elongation at break were carried out according to ASTM D-412 for assessing the mechanical properties. This experiment demonstrates an increase in dielectric breakdown strength of all EPDM/SiR composites filled with Silica micron particles till 30 Phr filling content behind this value the breakdown strength was decreased. Regarding mechanical parameters, the micro silica composite exhibited enhanced Tensile Strength to till only 10 Phr, contrarily, doping micro silica deteriorates the Elongation at break for all microcomposite samples.","PeriodicalId":185348,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Engineering and Technology","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126894215","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has enabled the collection, management, analysis, and assimilation of huge volumes of unique, structured, and unstructured information generated by contemporary medical service systems. It has provided devices for gathering, directing, analysing, and storing vast quantities of unique, structured, and unstructured data generated by contemporary medicinal administration systems. It produces information in exponentially varied configurations. The medical services division has been well ahead of the curve in adopting this new technology, and it is producing this data at an exponential rate. Consequently, the medical services information contains a substantial amount of information originating from internal and external sources. Payers (claims and cost data), consumers and marketers (patient conduct and feeling data), providers (medical information, government population and general wellbeing information), developers (Pharmacy and therapeutic device research and development), and researchers and scientists (academic and independent) are among the information sources. Because data isn't always the same, each of these data storage facilities is also becoming more diverse, as shown by the four Vs: volume, velocity, variety, and veracity.","PeriodicalId":185348,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Engineering and Technology","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131944470","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Precision agriculture (PA) is characterized by the employment of cutting-edge technology and equipment calibrated to the inch to precisely monitor and treat crops. Smart PA is able to assist farmers in increasing crop yields and simultaneously increasing efficiency and reducing stress by utilising wireless sensor networks (WSNs) and the Internet of Things (IoT). In this paper, an Internet of Things–enabled agricultural monitoring system is discussed. Data on the environment will be gathered in the field by solar-powered prototype nodes, and then transmitted to a central station for processing. Utilizing two nodes, it was determined whether or not it is advantageous to add energy harvesting into an electrical device. An experimental testbed demonstrates how the system might work in the future by capturing energy. Using a gadget that can harvest energy can lengthen the amount of time a device is able to run by supplying it with electricity, charging the battery, and increasing the battery's capacity.","PeriodicalId":185348,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Engineering and Technology","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129568975","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The IoT includes a variety of small smart devices. Their use, size, power, and computation power distinguish them from other devices. Due to the fact that the most of Internet technologies and communication protocols have not been intended to function with the IoT, there are numerous security concerns. The digitalization of the Internet of Things has also raised concerns about safety, privacy, cyber-attacks, and organised crime of the IoT has also prompted public safety concerns about privacy, cyber-attacks, and organised crime. This paper aims to include a full overview of edge-side security threats and countermeasures for people who want to learn more about security and add value to its improvement. This layer is divided into three levels: We'll begin by discussing three prominent IoT reference models, as well as security. Second, we will discuss the promising applications of the IoT as well as the motivations of hackers who seek to take advantage of this new technology. Third, we'll take a look at some of the most serious threats. Fourth, we discuss possible countermeasures.","PeriodicalId":185348,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Engineering and Technology","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129949775","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The litter of agro-wastes is a critical issue which must be addressed for the preservation of the global environment. The effect of nanographene addition on the mechanical and morphological properties of nanocomposites prepared using fluted pumpkin stem fiber (FPF) and recycled high density polyethylene (R-HDPE) was investigated. Four weight levels of nanographene 0, 0.5, 1.5 and 2.5 wt % were mixed with 65 wt. % HDPE, 35wt. % FPF and 3wt% maleic acid anhydride produced using melt compounding and the extruded nanocomposites was shaped by injection molding machine for the mechanical tests. The results showed that addition of 0.5 wt % nanographene increased the flexural strength, flexural modulus and notched impact strength by 24.77MPa, 1800MPa and 32.61J/m2, compared to the control samples 20.5MPa, 1500MPa and 19.35J/m2 respectively. Although the addition of nanographene to the FPF/HDPE composite significantly improved the flexural strength, flexural modulus and notched impact strength, these improvements came at a unique nanographene loading of 0.5 wt %. The morphological images revealed that the samples with nanographene loading of 0.5 wt. % showed no fiber pullout/holes, whereas higher contents (1.5-2.5wt %) of nanographene exhibited fiber pullout/holes and were easily agglomerated. This study has shown that fluted pumpkin stem fiber could be used in composite formulation with good results comparable to wood-plastic-composites.","PeriodicalId":185348,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Engineering and Technology","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124117169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Plastic and agro-wastes dumping are threatening concerns that must be settled for the protection of the worldwide ecosystem. In this study, the physical and mechanical properties of rice husk flour (RHF), corncob flour (CCF), walnut shell flour (WSF) and wood flour (WF) agro-waste filled recycled high density polyethylene biocomposites were investigated. Results showed bulk densities of RHF 350 kg/m3, CCF 310 kg/m3, WSF 400 kg/m3 and WF 250 kg/m3. Results showed moisture content of RHF 7%, WSF 6.4%, CCF 6% and WF 8%. Particle size distribution of 60-100 mesh size of the fillers was 0.295 mm to˂0.125 mm. Results showed that WF composite showed higher flexural modulus of 3.0 GPa and impact strength of 60 J/m followed by RHF with flexural modulus of 2.75 GPa and WSF with impact strength of 54.4 J/m compared to the control sample of 1.75 GPa and 38 J/m. The flexural strength of WF composite was 27.4 MPa followed by RHF composite 25.4 GPa, CCF composite 20.1 GPa and WSF composite 18.1 GPa compared to the control sample of 30.5 GPa. The higher bulk densities of RHF, WSF and CCF resulted in fiber accumulation at some parts of the composite, thereby causing weak points and the resultant lower mechanical properties compared to WF composites with lower bulk density. The study has shown that agro-waste fillers could be used in composite production with good results compared to WF composites.","PeriodicalId":185348,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Engineering and Technology","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131273795","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
