In this paper the linear complementarity modeling framework is used for the model predictive control design of a DC-DC boost converter cascaded with a single-phase inverter, a topology usually adopted in microgrids. A linear complementarity model valid for all operating modes of the converter is derived. A mixed-integer quadratic program is formulated for the design of the predictive controller constrained to the dynamic model and implementing a pulse width modulation. People in charge of the process simultaneously perform other activities, leaving the stove unsupervised, and thus, wasting energy and resources due to over or under cooking. This paper compares the egg cooking process to perform by a control system and regular people. The control system helps in the reduction of CO gas emissions of 33.3%, prevents the egg from forming a ferrous sulfide layer, and compared to an unsupervised process can achieve an energy reduction of 32.71%. Worldwide people cook on gas stove systems. The EKF is implemented using real system data offline that were subsequently processed by LabVIEW software. Initially, the mathematical model of the levitator whose dynamics is non-linear are considerate. The system states are: the sphere position, the sphere speed and the air speed. These models will later be used to design a suitable model-based control strategy. In this paper, a subspace identification algorithm based on the RQ decomposition approach has been reported, which is both implemented and validated on a test-bench that emulates the energy consumption of an industrial machine within a manufacturing process. Mass and energy balances are proposed and it is possible to identify a bilinear structure. As a result, it is possible to evaluate control systems that take into account such property. This article presents a feasibility analysis of a hybrid renewable energy system. Hydrokinetic-Wind-Diesel (HKT-WT-DG) with a storage system (ESS) using lead acid batteries. The load demand is a Public University located to the south of the Ecuador. Two types of energy control are studied: load cycle (LC) and load following (LF). In order to determine the optimal size of the system minimizing the operation of the diesel generator. The main parameters analyzed are: net preset cost (NPC), cost of energy (COE), unmet electric demand and penetration of diesel generator. The results show that, when using the LC control the ESS, NPC and COE increases considerably with respect to LF control. This paper presents the design and implementation of an exoskeleton of one degree of freedom (DOF) to assist the flexion and extension of the upper limb. The exoskeleton is controlled by signals from force sensors and myoelectric signals (MES), achieving a reduction of the muscle activity of the user. The MES are captured from the triceps and biceps muscle groups. Subsequent digital signal processing comprises: for feature extraction of signals the time-frequency Wavelet transform is performed, and its following regression analysis is done by an artificial neural network (ANN). Also, Applying the concept of passivity, it can be seen the system is not asymptotically stable but can be stabilized in open loop if it reduces the nonlinear model.
