Cross-domain authorship attribution when training and test texts differ in genres, topics and even modes (written/oral) is the most realistic, yet the most difficult scenario. All authorship attribution studies rely on the notion of an idiolect, which is a set of stable features, despite the fact that there are few studies exploring the stability of idiolectal features. The aim of the paper is to reveal the effect of mode, topics and time of text production on the stability of idiolectal features across a series of experiments. Our pilot study revealed that a mode change (written/oral) causes the most striking differences in text parameters in comparison to a topic and time of production although some features (namely, relative frequencies of certain discourse markers) remain relatively stable in all experimental setups. We conclude that the corpus containing diverse types of texts from each individual is needed for thoroughly examining the stability of idiolectal features and developing cross-domain attribution techniques to be employed in realistic scenarios.","PeriodicalId":183812,"journal":{"name":"2018 23rd Conference of Open Innovations Association (FRUCT)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134486551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Communication service providers are favoring “All-over-IP” technologies hoping to boost their profits by providing multimedia services. The main stakeholder in this field of the paradigm shift is the industry itself: packet switching hardware manufacturers are going to earn billions of dollars and thus pay engineers and journalists many millions for the promotion of the new paradigm. However, this drive for profit is tempered by life itself. This article is devoted to the discussion of the telecommunications development strategy. We will provide examples to illustrate the difficulties that complicate the transition from CS to PS and the move to hybrid CS+PS solutions. We are considering three areas: (1) network-on-a-chip (NoC), (2) the telecom strategy: how to build the core of the network, (3) the transition of the U.S. Defense Information System Network from SS7 signaling to IP protocol.","PeriodicalId":183812,"journal":{"name":"2018 23rd Conference of Open Innovations Association (FRUCT)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115296321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Biomimetic centipede robots can be well-suited to a number of applications, including search-and-rescue around demolished rubble, logistics in rocky and hazardous areas, and more. The design space for such robots is quite large, with numerous open possibilities for body and leg shapes, configurations, and numbers of components. In contrast to similar robotic platforms proposed prototype can move in any direction. Moreover, proposed design allows robot to operate in either omni-direction or conventional states without changing components. It was shown that new design provides better cross-country passability. Structural synthesis of Biomimetic Centipede Robot StriRus was made using evolutionary algorithm and simulation, which includes optimization the number of legs and angles between neighbor legs. Crosschecked angle optimization was done using kinematics.","PeriodicalId":183812,"journal":{"name":"2018 23rd Conference of Open Innovations Association (FRUCT)","volume":"103 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130018910","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Much security information is widely available in books, open literature or on the internet. We argue that the generated huge mass of information has resulted in a form of information overload to software engineers who usually finish reading it without being able to apply those principles clearly to their own application context. Our research tackles software security issues from a knowledge management perspective. In this paper, we present an ontology approach to model the knowledge of software security in a context-sensitive manner, supporting software engineers and learners to enable the correlation process between security domain knowledge and their working context. We also propose a web-based application for security knowledge sharing and learning where the ontology is adopted as the central knowledge repository.","PeriodicalId":183812,"journal":{"name":"2018 23rd Conference of Open Innovations Association (FRUCT)","volume":"9 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129251674","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This approach consists of a standard machine learning classifier and a procedure embedded into it, that uses thesaurus relationships for better sentiment analysis. The thesaurus is generated fully automatically and does not require expert’s involvement into classification process. Experiments conducted with the approach and four Russian-language text corpora, show effectiveness of thesaurus application to sentiment classification.","PeriodicalId":183812,"journal":{"name":"2018 23rd Conference of Open Innovations Association (FRUCT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129097021","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this direction, we propose exploiting the acoustic modality for farm monitoring. Such information could be used in a stand-alone or complimentary mode to monitor constantly animal population and behavior. To this end, we designed a scheme classifying the vocalizations produced by farm animals. More precisely, we propose a directed acyclic graph, where each node carries out a binary classification task using hidden Markov models. The topological ordering follows a criterion derived from the Kullback-Leibler divergence. During the experimental phase, we employed a publicly available dataset including vocalizations of seven animals typically encountered in farms, where we report promising recognition rates outperforming state of the art classifiers.","PeriodicalId":183812,"journal":{"name":"2018 23rd Conference of Open Innovations Association (FRUCT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121069742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In problems where the data is not structured for the general implementation of a specific idea, genetic algorithms are most useful. This paper proposes to mitigate the above problem of brute force approaches through elucidation of procedures ranging from exploratory analysis, followed by pattern analysis and classification. This novel conceptualization of the scheme and design will help in arriving at solutions through reduced iterations. Research conducted involves dropping of poorly performing hypotheses, controlled mutation, thereby adding a dimension of intelligence to evolutionary algorithms. The following paper describes the methodology used to solve the problem of addition of numbers using evolutionary algorithms of Neural Networks, whilst building intelligence into the system. The specific problem of addition has been dealt with in the following paper, however the same design philosophy can be extended for a paraphernalia of problems. The end goal is to obtain a generation of adroit and capable hypotheses to solve the problem in reduced number of iterations. The solution provided is generic and can be reused, it has been applied to a specific problem in the following paper.","PeriodicalId":183812,"journal":{"name":"2018 23rd Conference of Open Innovations Association (FRUCT)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129391113","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
