Failures related to computers regularly cause disruption, damage and occasionally death. Computational logic establishes the facts in a logical formalism. It attempts to understand the nature of mathematical reasoning with a wide variety of formalisms, techniques and technologies. Formal verification uses mathematical and logical formalisms to prove the correctness of designs. Formal methods provide the maturity and agility to assimilate the future concepts, languages, techniques and tools for computational methods and models. The quest for simplification of formal verification is never ending. This summary report advocates the use of geometry to construct quick conclusions by the human mind that can be formally verified if necessary.","PeriodicalId":183669,"journal":{"name":"Innovative STEM Education","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114179397","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the present study was to compare the efficacy of learning practical skills (Holter placement) in Nursing students. The students were divided into two groups of 8 students each. The first group was given an algorithm on paper, and the second group - a specially made video film. The results showed that the acquisition of this medical manipulation was more effective in the students having access to the video film. 87.5% of the students who watched the film did well on the post-test, compared to 50% of the second group (P less than 0.05). Students learning through a video lesson show higher satisfaction and retention of knowledge and skills. The results of the current study found that video triggers can be used effectively to capture learners' attention and deliver a visual lesson. However, threshold motivation is required for active learning to be successful.","PeriodicalId":183669,"journal":{"name":"Innovative STEM Education","volume":"53 Pt B 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134070033","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is unfortunate but true that even though Mathematics is the foundation of computer science it is now being considered as a totally separate subject. The inclusion of topics from Mathematics in the Computing Curricula all over the world has often times been very tough to justify. Mathematical foundations any beyond the first year in a typical Undergraduate Engineering programme are rarely found in the computing curricula today. However, when we refer to teaching it usually refers to the more traditional structure of lectures, which is not always suitable, particularly in the when learning values and other complex concepts. Fortunately, technology offers new opportunities and scenarios to play out in the classroom. This new aids, like social robots, give teachers the freedom to try new or previously not viable options like personalized storytelling which combines traditional narrative, technology and emotions. This form of teaching-learning process helps the students relate and can help them develop active listening, stimulate their creativity and encourage their motivation through the narration of the experiences of the protagonist of the story, as well as achieve a more relaxed and participatory atmosphere in the classroom while working on his linguistics and digital skills, developing his critical spirit, and learning to organize information.","PeriodicalId":183669,"journal":{"name":"Innovative STEM Education","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123187775","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
