Biosynthesized nanomaterials are currently proving to be a viable antibacterial therapeutic option, including for MTB infection treatment. The goal of this work is to synthesize silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) from Syzygium aromaticum seeds and investigate their antimicrobial, anti-tubercular, and cytotoxic properties using zebrafish embryos and Artemia salina. The UV spectrophotometer, SEM-EDAX, TEM and FTIR measurements were used to characterize the AgNPs. Antibacterial activity was performed against S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, E. coli and K. pneumoniae and exhibited potential inhibitory activity towards the bacterial cultures. The MABA assay was used to investigate the anti-mycobacterial activity, and the AgNPs showed the highest percentage of inhibition in both test concentrations (250 and 500 µg/ml).","PeriodicalId":18270,"journal":{"name":"Materials Technology","volume":"R-27 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135366658","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"材料科学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, the creep performance, microstructure evolution and deformation mechanism of a low-cost Fe-Ni-based superalloy under the condition of 750°C/130 MPa and 700°C/200 MPa were investigated. The creep rupture life reached 14,715 h and 12,716 h, respectively, under the aforementioned conditions. After long-term creep, carbides and γ′ particles (Ni3(Al,Ti)) with spherical shape grew gradually due to the Ostwald ripening. Abnormal coarse needle-like γ′ phase presented at grain boundaries and grew along preferred orientation under the synergy effect of grain boundary migration, stress, and diffusion. Influence of precipitate-free zones, carbides, and coincidence site lattice (CSL) boundary on the creep properties were discussed. The creep deformation mechanism of the Fe-Ni-based superalloy were dominated by dislocations slip. Dislocations moved via by-passing the γ′ phase and formed dislocation bows around the precipitates.","PeriodicalId":18270,"journal":{"name":"Materials Technology","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135366928","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"材料科学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The performances of both models were was evaluated using standard statistical parameters such as the correlation coefficient (R) and average absolute relative error (AARE). The results showed that both models can accurately predict the rheological stresses generated during deformation.The BP-ANN outperforms the Arrhenius equation model with correlation coefficients of fit greater than 99.9% and less than 0.8% relative error. At a strain rate of 0.01 s−1 and 10 s−1, the accuracy of the ANN decreases slightly due to the fact that it exceeds the strain rate range of the training set, as compared to the Arrhenius constitutive equations as these are more accurately predicted.","PeriodicalId":18270,"journal":{"name":"Materials Technology","volume":"71 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136079938","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"材料科学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the exploration of new triboelectric materials remains an important challenge to be faced. Hence, we ingeniously design a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)/silanized graphite oxide (SGO)-based triboelectric nanogenerator (PS-TENG) for running posture and physical health monitoring. The introduction of SGO has improved the electron capture capability of PDMS, thereby achieving high output of PS-TENG. From the results, under an 60 MΩ resistance, the power density of PS-TENG reaches a peak of 1780 mW·m−2. Furthermore, athletes undergo various postures during the running process, so monitoring special postures is very meaningful, such as jogging, long jump, walking, etc. Especially, according to the self-charging mechanism, PS-TENG can indirectly evaluate physical energy analysis during running by storing electrical energy in capacitors. This triboelectric sensor can assist in posture monitoring and physical fitness monitoring during running.","PeriodicalId":18270,"journal":{"name":"Materials Technology","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136114382","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"材料科学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, CASTEP analysis and density functional theory are used to examine the impact of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bromine ionic liquid in enhancing the features of Pb-Sn halide perovskite alloys. According to the study’s findings, the ionic liquid device has better electronic, optical, mechanical, and thermodynamic properties than the control sample because it can anchor the MA cation through hydrogen bonding and can reduce the grain boundaries of the perovskite film, making it tolerable up to high temperatures above 80°C. Since a result, a thorough understanding of plant phytochemical components is essential, since this information will be useful in the development of innovative therapeutic medications. Copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) have received a lot of interest due to their numerous applications. The physical and chemical features of CuNPs influence their uses. In the current study, CuNPs were synthesised utilising the chemical reduction process, with Tinospora cordifolia extract serving as a reducing agent due to their high phenolic and flavonoid content and their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties were also assessed. The majority of the absorption peaks found in the T. cordifolia leaves extract can also be found in the FT-IR spectrum of CuNPs, often at the same locations or with just little variations in the peak’s location and intensity. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) found that the particles were generally spherical, with an average particle size of 15 to 70 nm. Their potential as anti-bacterial and antifungal drugs was demonstrated by the antimicrobial activity, they exhibited against S. aureus (18 mm), L. bacillus (22 mm), S. mutans (24 mm), and C. albicans (15 mm).
