Numerical simulations are performed for the whole year varying the window typology (i.e. double or triple pane), the insulation thickness of the envelope and the shadings. Simulations are repeated both considering and neglecting the occupant behavior. This kind of analysis has been performed by means of ALMABuild, a new SIMULINK open blockset devoted to energy building modelling, in which the Humphreys Adaptive Algorithm has been implemented for modeling the occupant behavior. When creating a control system for such objects, it is required to take into consideration the influence of all structural elements on their dynamic properties. One of the solutions to this problem lies in introducing a universal mathematical model, which could form the basis for synthesizing a control system. Mathematical model of a system containing interconnected mobile platforms for a mobile robot of a certain class is proposed in this work, which takes into consideration dynamics of all moving structural elements. Solution to the problems set in the work is based on the Gauss’s principle of least constraint. Results obtained are presented in the algorithmic form, and they determine the desired acceleration as a solution to simple linear algebraic equation. Simulation results using the Matlab Simulink software environment are presented. Based on the results of our work, a conclusion was formulated on the suitability of the obtained model for studying properties of the control object.","PeriodicalId":182421,"journal":{"name":"SECOND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MATERIAL SCIENCE, SMART STRUCTURES AND APPLICATIONS: ICMSS-2019","volume":"312 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131886831","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They allow solving a variety of technical, economic and ecological tasks of railway transportation. Our team have developed some methods of physical and mathematical modelling and dynamic monitoring of nonlinear mechanical systems which have allowed creating an effective experimental base. In its basis there is a unique laboratory complex for modelling tests of systems «Track – Rolling stock» with various types of traction and trailing rolling stock. It is noted that the experimental results obtained in the laboratory or bench tests to a very great extent match the natural ones. This is provided with the help of correcting methods of non-uniformly scaled, physical and mathematical modelling. The findings of researches give ample opportunities for creation of effective management methods for frictional contacts of a subsystem \"wheel-rail\"; the following values depend on its reliability and efficiency: a trailer loading, brake track, resource of wheelsets and permanent way elements, reliability and efficiency of a main lead of a traction rolling stock, noise levels and vibration.","PeriodicalId":182421,"journal":{"name":"SECOND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MATERIAL SCIENCE, SMART STRUCTURES AND APPLICATIONS: ICMSS-2019","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115049170","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Out of the total heat supplied to the engine in the form of fuel, approximately, 30 to 40% is converted into useful mechanical work. About 60% of the generated energy is still lost, half of which being exhaust heat, with the remaining half as heat absorbed by the engine cooling system resulting in an entropy rise and serious environmental degradation. This is so even after implementing the various technologies such as direct fuel injection, variable valve timing, exhaust-driven turbo charging, brake energy regeneration etc. Hence it is required to utilize this waste heat into useful work. The recovery and utilization of waste heat not only conserves fuel but also reduces the amount of waste heat and greenhouse gases which dampen the environment. A heat recovery steam generation system designed for 3.0 Liter BMW engine and amount of heat energy that can be utilized is discussed in this paper. It is found that around 20 to 30% of the engine brake power requirement may be met from this regeneration system at different engine loads and speeds of the engine.","PeriodicalId":182421,"journal":{"name":"SECOND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MATERIAL SCIENCE, SMART STRUCTURES AND APPLICATIONS: ICMSS-2019","volume":"414 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115237215","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it is well known that the predictive capabilities of even the most diffused break-up models are affected by injection parameters, especially backpressure. As a consequence, model constants require usually substantial tuning based on the specific operating conditions. In this manuscript, an alternative atomization methodology is proposed for the 3D-CFD simulation of GDI sprays, aiming at reducing case-to-case tuning of the model constants for variations of the operating conditions. In particular, attention is focused on the effects of back pressure, which has a huge impact on both the morphology and the sizing of GDI sprays. 3D-CFD Lagrangian simulations of two different multi-hole GDI injectors are presented.
