The so called support vector machine (SVM) is an effective classification tool, but it can only process binary classification problems. This paper integrated SVM and the one-versus-one (OVO) approach to form the OVO-based SVM (OSVM) which can process the multiple classification problem such as PQD. Using the proposed methodology can reduce a great quantity of the training data, less memory space and computing time are required. With IEEE 14-bus power system, seven power quality disturbing events were tested and compared with artificial neural network (ANN). However, the highly variable switching frequency involved in the detuning operation will contribute to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and power losses. It is difficult to determine the detuning frequency precisely due to nonlinear features of power pick-ups. Uncertainty in the operating frequency can result in difficulties in designing filters with suitable bandwidths and choosing suitable switching devices. Based on detailed analytical analysis in four segments of the detuning process, a numerical method is developed in this paper to determine the boundaries of the switching frequencies. An iterative algorithm is presented using a flow chart to illustrate the process taken in the numerical analysis. The tuning circuit of the power pick-up is based on the LCL configuration and provides a simple relationship between the open circuit voltage of the pick-up coil and the output voltage regardless of the load variation. The use of magnetic amplifier as a variable inductor offers significant advantages where the inductance is dynamically varied using a controller and BJT to deliver power under a variety of load conditions. The proposed method can significantly improve the overall performance of the ICPT (inductively coupled power transfer) system by producing continuous waveforms within the system at all times. The current required by the vehicles flows out from the traction substation, and then pass through the OCS (overhead contact system) and the running rails. At last, the traction current will return to the traction substation. A proportion of the traction current will leak to earth, such leakage current is called stray current. Generally, the stray current can be calculated indirectly by using the following parameters: the running rail longitudinal resistance, running rail-to-earth resistance and running rail-to-earth voltage. It is necessary to develop on-line monitoring device of stray current in metro. In this paper a novel stray current on-line monitoring device based on embedded microcomputer system is developed. According to the new method presented in this paper, the on-line monitoring device will be installed along the rail, and connected each other with communication cable to form a real-time monitoring system. To solve above problem, an improved approach is put forward. The distinguishing feature of the loads of oil pumps, i.e., the active power varies periodically with its averaged value not changed while the reactive power maintains approximately unchanged, is made full used of. The active power of an oil pump is formulated in a sine form. In calculation of losses in a feeder or a transformer with many oil pumps, the integral function is simplified by utilizing the orthogonal behavior of sine functions. Combining the proposed approach with the effective current based method, the theoretical losses calculation with hybrid loads of oil pumps and residential customers is deduced. The way to further improve the proposed approach by taking the losses of the downstream devices is discussed. The loss of a typical feeder with 19 loads of Daqing oil filed is calculated by the proposed approach and the traditional method, respectively. The main achievements of the paper involve the following aspects: Firstly, by testing the disturbance series of the classical model, Some witness to the ARCH effect is reported by LM test. Secondly, An ARMA-ARCH model is constructed. This model is judged to have good forecast ability, and compares favourably with ARMA model in theoretic significance. Furthermore, a relatively deep research on the second-order moment of load time series proceeds from such a viewpoint as reverse leverage effect, the mechanism of asymmetric effects between different shocks is demonstrated. Finally, we enhance the ARCH model to a new level with the help of extended ARCH class model. These models have more practical preconditions, and have more powerful applied significance than some classical models.
