Unfortunately, as the volume of dataset gets larger day by day, most of the FIM algorithms in literature become ineffective due to either too huge resource requirement or too much communication cost. In this paper, we propose a balanced parallel FP-Growth algorithm BPFP, based on the PFP algorithm [1], which parallelizes FP-Growth in the MapReduce approach. BPFP adds into PFP load balance feature, which improves parallelization and thereby improves performance. Through empirical study, BPFP outperformed the PFP which uses some simple grouping strategy.","PeriodicalId":179847,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE Youth Conference on Information, Computing and Telecommunications","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129950976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a Web services selection algorithm of QoS-aware and global multi-objective optimization, termed WSSPEA2. The essence of the proposed algorithm is that the problem of Web services selection based on QoS is transformed into a multi-objective services composition optimization problem with QoS constraints. A strength Pareto evolutionary algorithm (SPEA2) is utilized to produce a set of Pareto-optimal solutions by means of simultaneously optimizing a series of objective functions, that is, minimizing service cost(C) and service time(T) with the constaint of satifying the parameters reputation(RE), reliability(R) and availability(A). And the users can select one from these solutions for their preferences. The results of a series of simulation experiments indicate the feasibility and efficiency of this algorithm.","PeriodicalId":179847,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE Youth Conference on Information, Computing and Telecommunications","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115623615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An effective method for RFID tag antenna optimization by particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm or genetic algorithm (GA) combined with ANN is presented in this paper. ANN is used to establish the non-linear model of tag antenna which is shown to be as accurate as an electromagnetic simulator and can be used for constructing the fitness function of PSO and GA. The PSO and GA optimizers are developed and executed in C++. Finally, this optimization method is turned out to be much more efficient than any electromagnetic simulator optimization. In addition, the PSO optimization results show that it is faster than GA.","PeriodicalId":179847,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE Youth Conference on Information, Computing and Telecommunications","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122475995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, 8 input features derived from MODIS time series and DEM data were selected by Jeffreys-Matusita distance. Then, all the features were analyzed to generate land cover map of Sanjiang Plain in China, using SVM algorithm. Finally, we evaluated the impact of sample size and its distribution on classification accuracy. The train and test ratio of 8:2 was proved to be a better choice for improving land cover classification. The distribution of samples influenced classification results, with a standard deviation of 0.81 to overall accuracy and 0.01 to Kappa coefficient. The overall accuracy of resultant classification map was 96.45 with Kappa coefficient of 95.8%. The good performance indicated great potentials of SVM algorithm for regional land cover mapping.","PeriodicalId":179847,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE Youth Conference on Information, Computing and Telecommunications","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127346964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However perfect channel knowledge is required, which leads to large feedback amount of channel state information (CSI). In this paper, the uplink scenario of multi-relay OFDM cooperative networks with subcarrier mapping scheme is considered. An opportunistic relaying strategy with limit feedback CSI is proposed. The transmission scheme, which is based on instantaneous channel quality, is selected to offer maximum the end-to-end system capacity. The simulations show that the proposed approach can achieve almost asymptotically performance as full CSI feedback scheme with large number of subcarriers.","PeriodicalId":179847,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE Youth Conference on Information, Computing and Telecommunications","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126382623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since DE algorithm has strong global search ability and good robustness, DEOFCA uses DE to replace the iteration process of fuzzy C means clustering algorithm, by which the global optimization capability is greatly improved. An adaptive adjusting strategy for control parameters is integrated with the algorithm to eliminate negative effects of the control parameters setting to algorithm performance and efficiency. This paper proposed the mathematical model and the quantitative research methods on the variability in the task execution-time. On the modern complex digital signal processing platform, the task execution-time probability density can be approximated as normal distribution. The mean-variance of execution-time, which can be an indicator to measure the degree of variability in the task execution-time, indicates the dispersion of all execution-time samples from the mean execution-time. This paper analyzed the variability in the task execution-time of the Godson 2E processor-based digital demodulation system. Experiments show that the interaction between different tasks will be reduced by task scheduling. Task scheduling is an effective method to significantly reduce the mean-variance of execution-time, and is an effective method to reduce the degree of variability in the task execution-time.","PeriodicalId":179847,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE Youth Conference on Information, Computing and Telecommunications","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115455378","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ensemble method combines all the outputs of these separate learning machines trained on different features. An efficient Media Access Control (MAC) protocol is important for future home private WDM optical fiber network, which provides high data rate services to large amount of device. The advantages of multi-channels Aloha and Slotted Aloha scheme are simple structure and low cost. Moreover, optical fiber provides large amount of bandwidth which is far larger than device requirement. In this article, Aloha and Slotted Aloha schemes are proposed for home private optical fiber bus network. Reasons are provided for choosing bus topology instead of star topology and against Carrier Sense Multiple Access (CSMA) as the MAC scheme.
