It takes an animator years to polish his or her skills in order to deliver a believable animated character. Character animators, although given certain boundaries to work within, tend to be very subjective in their acting choices. This makes for a very complex and often complicated workflow to follow. Though approach to animating a character differs from one animator to another, there are two main frameworks utilized by many. The two frames works are - 12 Principles of Animation and Acting Principles. The latter set of principles is more current, developed only in 2001 and thus lacks exposure among many novice animators. This papers reports the process combining the existing two frameworks in order to develop a more concise but simple workflow to assist the novice animator.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131338274","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although widely recognized importance of knowledge, there is relatively little understanding about an integrative role of learning in knowledge creation. In this paper, we propose to integrate learning in the knowledge creation process which has not been fully articulated before in the previous study. The purpose of the paper is to examine the relationship between learning and knowledge creation in an attempt to promote knowledge creation. Further, this paper will contribute to propose the conceptual connection between learning and knowledge creation as a basis for future research. Hence, employers can understand their concepts in an attempt to create a new knowledge for organizations and employee's benefits.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133043552","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

T-commerce is a tool in iTV advertising that enables users to buy something directly through television screen which is more flexible, comfortable, and convenient. Studies show that there is a necessity to examine the factors influencing individuals to purchase products on television shopping program. However, research effort on this is minimal. Also, design models that are dedicated to increase impulse purchase on iTV advertising are scarce and do not include consumer behaviour regarding impulse purchase. In fact, research on the design of t-commerce for iTV advertising for effective marketing strategies is still lacking. Therefore, such a gap ought to be investigated which could contribute to the fields of business and interactive advertising.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125275515","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In fact, most success stories in virtual heritage research have comprised of the technical ingenuity in advanced reconstruction technology. Given the complexity and unique attributes of place features, it would seem a daunting task of reconstructing place elements in VHE. The question then arises: which elements of real places should be 'virtualised' to trigger the user's sense of place in VHE? Considering the vast array of distinctive and unique features associating place to people's experience in current and past researches, a conceptual reconfiguration method would be necessary to provide an integrated and unambiguous workflow. The paper presents a conceptual outlook on the process of modelling place elements in VHE towards providing users with meaningful contents and interactions adapted to the desired locality and milieu.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130358235","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Lecturers may either develop learning modules to support the teaching and learning process or incorporate multimedia elements in the teaching materials. The use of multimedia elements in the teaching materials is able to attract students' attention, achieve better retention rate and then improving students' performances. The multimedia elements need to be used with proper planning and careful consideration in order to have the learning contents arranged in a more meaningful manner. One good approach is by following the Mayer's Design Principles, which are Multimedia Principle, Spatial Contiguity Principle, Temporal Contiguity Principle, Coherence Principle, Modality Principle, Redundancy Principle, and Individual Differences Principle. On top of that, the interaction that is created during the learning process is also contributing into effective learning. This study looks into students' perceptions on the independent online learning which is a student centered learning environment as well as the students' performance in pretest/ posttest.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121116511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately, the modeling of a design for testability is often performed after the design is complete. This limits the functional use of the testability model to determining what level of test coverage is available in the design. This information may be useful to help assess whether a product meets a requirement to achieve a desired level of test coverage, but has little pro-active effect on making the design more testable. This paper investigates and presents a number of approaches for tackling this problem. Approaches are surveyed, achievements and main issues of each approach are considered. Investigation of that classification will help researchers who are working on model testability to deliver more applicable solutions.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"218 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134320705","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among them, interactive media holds a lot of potential in learning. This technology highly promotes self-directed and active learning approaches and has capabilities to foster the learning process. Furthermore, the emergence of persuasive technology increased the capability of the media features to be used in learning field within variety of ways. Persuasive technology is the attempts of several researchers and its founder to proof the power of persuasion through the computer technology in changing peoples' behavior and attitude. Even though previous studies have highlighted the various features of interactive media contribute to learning, our preliminary study indicated that most of elderly prefers conventional learning approach over computer approach. It is evident that elderly choose the use of computer applications as their last resort in learning. In order to highlight an interactive media system with persuasion elements, this study attempt to propose a conceptual model of interactive persuasive learning system for elderly that can be used in encouraging them to learn using computer-based learning tools. Thus this paper reviews the introduction of persuasive technology and interactive media. Then, we propose the conceptual model of interactive persuasive learning system for elderly that can be used in encouraging them to learn using computer-based learning tools. The proposed model will be helpful in designing and developing interactive media systems that can encourage and engage a learning process among elderly.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133816738","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
