This work explores the use of machine learning methods for anomaly detection in network traffic of an IoT network that is connected through a Software Defined Network (SDN). The use of SDN allows a hierarchical approach to machine learning with the aim of reducing the packet level processing of anomaly detection at the edge through applying additional, centralized, machine learning in the SDN controller. For the sake of evaluation, we compare several supervised classification algorithms using a publicly available dataset. The results support a decision-tree based approach and show that the proposed solution promises a considerable reduction in the per-packet processing at the network edge compared to a single stage classifier.","PeriodicalId":179336,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Information Technologies (InfoTech)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121347128","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The new approach is based on the representation of a software system as a non-equilibrium system that interacts with its environment. The environment in this context is an object area that defines the rules for the functioning of a software system. The imbalance between the software system and its subject area is caused by the presence of hidden defects in the program that cause improper functioning. The process of identifying these defects is a transient process in which defects are eliminated, and an equilibrium is established between the software system and its subject area. The article builds an electrical circuit for replacing a software system and calculates the transition process in it. The results of the calculation of the transition process in the equivalent circuit made it possible to explain some phenomena that follow from the theory of nonequilibrium processes, but cannot be explained with its help.","PeriodicalId":179336,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Information Technologies (InfoTech)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130517808","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of the mining process is to extract information about business processes and process discovery is one of the most challenging process mining tasks. Moreover, From the event logs, the complete process model is often too complicated to understand by business users for discovering behavioral patterns and analyzing business processes. In this paper a method is presented to discover process model of frequent running case in event log using bupaR framework in R studio. A scenario example has been applied to show the applicability of the approach. The result shows that the local process model is less complicated and easy readable process model to discover the behavioral patterns.","PeriodicalId":179336,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Information Technologies (InfoTech)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123931285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
