Daun sirih tersebut banyak mengandung metabolik sekunder yang mempunyai aktifitas sebagai obat. Dalam daun sirih mengandung komponen senyawa kimia yang dapat diisolasi dan mempunyai efek atau aktifitas tertentu terhadap pengobatan (antikanker, antimikroba dan  radikal bebas). Penelitian ini menerangkan isolat yang mempunyai struktur kimia yang bertanggungjawab terhadap aktifitasnya dengan cara proses ekstraksi (maserasi), fraksinasi (kromatografi cair vakum), identifikasi (KLT preparatif , densitometry dan GC-MS ). Hasil yang diperoleh berupa isolat non polar, semipolar dan polar dari fraksi heksana. Isolat tersebut di identifikasi dengan KLT, TLC scanner dan GC-MS. Hasil yang diperoleh isolat nonpolar : Alkana (9,43%); alkohol (1,34); asam karboksilat (2,57); turunan fenol (32,09); furan (0,16) dan terpena (2,21), Isolat semipolar : alkana (7,77); alkohol (1,25); aldehide (2,88); turunan fenol (31,96); furan (0,26) dan terpena (0,64) sedangkan isolat polar : alkana (10.03); alkohol (2,73); asam karboksilat (14,10); benzopiren (30,73); turunan fenol (26,32) dan organo sulfur (4,20). Piperine is a major compound and potent substances contained in black pepper fruit as antidiarrheal activity. The aim of this study was to determine levels of piperine in 96% ethanol extract of black pepper fruit. The extraction method used Soxhlet in 96% ethanol as solvent. Analysis of piperine using qualitative analysis by thin layer chromatography (TLC) produces yellow stain after being sprayed by dragendorf and dark blue on observation Uv-Vis 365 nm with Rf extract value 0.49 and Rf piperine value 0.5. Quantitative analysis using LC – MS produces piperine levels at 26%. Before quantitative analysis, validation method needs to be done with the parameters, among others: linearity have regression equation y = has 1,981,691.1333x + 561,445.0000 and correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.9973, LOD and LOQ at 0.14 and 0.44 ppm, accuracy value (% recovery) between 95.90 – 100.77%, precision value (% KV) between 0.02 – 1.84%, and selectivity (RT) between 2.47 – 2.49. This research aims to make preparations jelly candy fruit juice Singi honey combination using gelatin and gelatin choose the most optimum concentration and see if candy is unfit for consumption. Research conducted experiment, the sample series then made into 3 formulas with gelatin concentration variation 9%, 10% and 11%. The results showed that the candy is made of orange-brown, distinctive smell, with a sweet and sour taste and chewy texture. This study aimed to determine the potency of antibacterial activity, minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and equality with comparator. The extraction process was carried out by maceration method using ethanol 96%, then fractionation was performed by using liquid-liquid extraction. The antibacterial activity of extract and fractions of bitter gourd seed against Propionibacterium acnes were done by agar diffusion method. The results showed that the extract and other fractions of bitter gourd seeds gave antibacterial activity against Propionibacterium acnes. The extract and three fractions of bitter gourd seeds inhibited the growth of Propionibacterium acnes at concentrations of 40%, 50% and 60%. The value of MIC of the extract was 30% with an 8,9 mm inhibit zone. At concentration of 40%, the fraction of ethyl acetate of bitter gourd seeds gave the highest activity in inhibiting Propionibacterium acnes compared to extract and other fractions. When it is compared with clindamycin as comparison, 1 mg of bitter gourd seed extract is equivalent to 0,80 μg clindamycin.  Keywords: Bitter gourd seed, Momordica charantia L., Antibacterial, Propionibacterium acnesABSTRAK Biji pare (Momordica charantia L.) diketahui memiliki khasiat dalam mengobati penyakit kulit, salah satunya jerawat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan potensi aktivitas antibakteri, konsentrasi hambat minimum (KHM) dan kesetaraan dengan pembanding. Proses ekstraksi dilakukan dengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%, dilanjutkan dengan fraksinasi menggunakan ekstraksi cair-cair. Aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak dan fraksi biji pare terhadap Propionibacterium acnes dilakukan dengan metode difusi agar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak dan fraksi biji pare memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Propionibacterium acnes. Ekstrak dan ketiga fraksi biji pare menghambat pertumbuhan Propionibacterium acnes pada konsentrasi 40%, 50% dan 60%. Nilai KHM dari ekstrak diperoleh 30% dengan zona hambat 8,9 mm. Pada konsentrasi 40%, fraksi etil asetat biji pare memberikan aktivitas paling tinggi dalam menghambat Propionibacterium acnes dibandingkan ekstrak serta fraksi lainnya. Irvingia malayana (Pauh Kijang), which is one of the medicinal plants found, has been proven as an antimalarial. However, phytochemical and antimalarial studies of Irvingia malayana have never been carried out. This study was conducted for an antimalarial Drug Discovery through phytochemical study by isolating the roots, stems, and leaves of Irvingia malayana. From the analysis using FTIR, H-NMR, and GC-MS, it was concluded that the compound in the ethyl acetate extract of Irvingia malayana stem was terpenoids that was included in silymarin group as well as other plants in the genus Irvingia. The melting point of Irvingia malayana isolate was 120-121oC with white crystals. Statistical result of in vivo study showed that each group was significantly different. On day 4 after administration, IC50 showed was 11,827 mg/kgBW and day 3 was 6,927 mg/kgBW. Therefore, 3 days is the maximum duration of administration in reducing plasmodium and shows the most excellent activity as antimalarial. In in vitro study, IC50 of Irvingia malayana (62.855 ug/ml) has weak activity of antiplasmodium compared to chloroquine positive controls containing IC50 (1,114x10-3 ug/ml). Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran klinik pada penderita kanker serviks berdasarkan stadium setelah mendapatkan kemoterapi selama tiga siklus. Dengan demikian dapat dievaluasi lebih lanjut mengenai efektivitas kemoterapi untuk setiap stadium. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian non eksperimental yang bersifat deskriptif dengan melakukan observasi lapangan untuk memperoleh data gambaran klinik. Evaluasi gambaran klinik dilakukan dengan mengamati gejala klinik dan kondisi pasca kemoterapi setelah pasien mendapatkan kemoterapi siklus pertama sampai ketiga.  Hasil menunjukkan bahwa setelah kemoterapi selama tiga siklus, pada gejala klinik, persen hilang gejala pada pasien stadium  I, II, III dan IV untuk keputihan masing-masing adalah 100%, 96%, 93,3% dan 25%; pada gejala pendarahan, masing-masing adalah 100%, 68%, 53,3% dan 0%; sedangkan rata-rata skor nyeri masing-masing adalah 0,9±0,9; 1,0±1,5; 1,4±,4 dan 3,5±1,9.   Pada kondisi pasca kemoterapi, persentase pasien yang dinyatakan mengalami perbaikan pada pasien stadium I, II, III dan IV masing-masing adalah 100%, 96%, 93,9% dan 75%. Hasil di atas  menunjukkan bahwa kemoterapi menunjukkan kecenderungan makin efektif pada pasien kanker serviks  dengan stadium yang makin rendah.Kata kunci : kanker serviks, stadium, kemoterapi, gambaran klinikPengamatan gambaran klinik pada pada penderita kanker serviks merupakan hal yang sangat penting karena dapat mengevaluasi efektivitas kemoterapi. Minyak biji jintan hitam dan minyak zaitun diketahui dapat digunakan dalam terapi hiperlipidemia karena mengandung  thymoquinone dan asam lemak tak jenuh tunggal yang tinggi. Salah satu bentuk sediaan yang dapat meningkatkan absorbsi dalam saluran cerna adalah mikroemulsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan formulasi sediaan mikroemulsi mengandung minyak biji jintan hitam dan minyak zaitun yang sesuai dengan persyaratan farmasetika. Mikroemulsi minyak biji jintan hitam dan minyak zaitun (3:1) dibuat dengan variasi konsentrasi surfaktan cremophor RH 40, serta kosurfaktan gliserin dan PEG 400. Pada sediaan akhir ditambahkan pengawet Na-benzoat, antioksidan tokoferol, pemanis Na-sakarin, dan perasa mentol. Sediaan akhir dievaluasi dengan pengamatan organoleptis, persen transmitan, pH, viskositas, sifat alir, dan ukuran globul. Selain itu dilakukan uji stabilitas termodinamika dan uji stabilitas dipercepat pada suhu 25 0 C dan suhu 40 0 C selama penyimpanan 4 minggu. Formula mikroemulsi yang optimum dihasilkan dengan konsentrasi fasa minyak 5%, cremophor RH 40 35%, gliserin 35% dan PEG 400 10%. Sediaan akhir memiliki warna kuning-coklat, bau khas, rasa manis, bentuk yang jernih dan satu fasa, persen transmitan 100,367±1,266, pH 6,721±0,027, viskositas 2306±206,64 cps, sifat alir newton dan ukuran globul 0,267 µm. Sediaan mikroemulsi stabil berdasarkan uji stabilitas termodinamika dan uji stabilitas dipercepat pada pengukuran pH (suhu 25 0 C) dan viskositas (p>0,01).
