Keberhasilan memperoleh senyawa metabolit tanaman bergantung pada metode ekstraksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan kadar fenolik dan flavonoid dari ekstrak etanolik daun katuk yang diperoleh dari tiga jenis metode ekstraksi yaitu maserasi, Soxhletasi, dan ultrasonik. Penentuan kadar senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid dilakukan dengan metode kolorimetri masing-masing secara berurutan menggunakan reagen Folin-ciocalteu dan AlCl3 10%. Absorbansi hasil reaksi diukur menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Kadar fenolik total dinyatakan sebagai kesetaraannya dengan asam galat, sedangkan kadar flavonoid dinyatakan sebagai kesetaraanya dengan kuersetin. Penentuan aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak dilakukan terhadap radikal DPPH dan dinyatakan dengan nilai IC50 (ppm). Hasil menunjukan bahwa metode ekstraksi ultrasonik menghasilkan kadar fenolik (42,96 ± 0,51 mgGAE/g), flavonoid (12,05 ± 0,36 mgQE/g) total dan aktivitas antioksidan (IC50 = 81,43 ± 2,63 ppm) paling baik pada ekstrak etanolik daun S. androgynus dibanding dengan metode ekstraksi lain (maserasi > Soxhletasi). Both healthy food and regular exercise, good immunity can be achieved from healthy and relaxing mind, including through aromatherapy. This is in line with increasing awareness in holistic and organic medicine. The objectives of study are to develop aromatherapy products based-on sumatran camphor, styrax, and eucalypts essential oils; and to identify consumer preferences for innovation products. A conjoint analysis was operated to determine consumer preferences. The active compounds contained in essential oils combination are including a-pinene, 1.8-cineole, limonene, b-caryophyllene and p-cymene. The combination and presence of similar active compound harmonize aroma with minimal contraindications and produce refreshing and relaxing aromas. The 1.8-cineole is known as anti-fungal, antiviral which offer relief to congested respiratory system, thereby boosts immune system. Moreover, p-cymene has been identified to reduce anxiety, nervousness, and relaxing the mind. Based on conjoint analysis, aroma has the greatest influence on consumer preferences. The most preferred profile is aromatherapy product which soft-refreshing aroma, roll-on package, volume 6 ml, at price of Rp 35,000. One of the phytochemical constituents contained is flavonoids (flavones and flavanones). This study aims to determine the total flavonoid content of ethanol extract of tiger milk mushroom. The simplicia of tiger milk mushroom was macerated using 96% ethanol. Phytochemical screening for the presence of flavonoids the extract using magnesium and amyl alcohol powder. Determination of total flavonoid content in ethanol extract of tiger milk mushrooms was carried out by UV-Vis spectrophotometry using the colorimetric method (AlCl?) at ? 410 nm and expressed as total flavonoids in quercetin equivalent. The results showed that total flavonoid content of ethanol extract is 33.041 mgEQ/g extract. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat formulasi salep ekstrak bunga ginje (Thevetia Peruviana) dan uji efektivitas penyembuhan luka sayat pada punggung kelinci jantan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental. Pembuatan formulasi salep menggunakan ekstrak bunga Ginje dengan menggunakan hewan uji sebanyak 5 (lima) ekor dengan 6 (enam) kelompok perlakuan, yaitu salep ekstrak bunga Ginje 2,5 %, salep ekstrak bunga Ginje 5 %, salep ekstrak bunga Ginje 7,5 %, kontrol negatif, kontrol positif dan luka tanpa perlakuan. Semua kelinci dilukai sepanjang 2 cm dengan kedalaman 0,1 cm. Luka diolesi 3 kali dalam sehari dengan salep yang di uji. Pengamatan luka dilakukan setiap hari (hari ke-0 sampai ke-12). Semua data kuantitatif diuji secara statistik menggunakan ANOVA (Analisys Of Varian) sedangkan data kualitatif disajikan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan formulasi salep ekstrak bunga Ginje memenuhi persyaratan uji salep, mengalami penyempitan luka, membentuk keropeng dan menutup luka. Hasil uji statistik memberikan efek signifikan terhadap penyembuhan luka pada kelinci jantan, yaitu (p<0,05). Rumah Riset Jamu (RRJ) Hortus Medicus merupakan rumah riset milik B2P2TOOT yang melakukan penelitian berbasis pelayanan. RRJ Hortus Medicus mengembangkan ramuan jamu untuk perawatan pasca stroke yang diantaranya mengandung seledri (Apium graveolens L.), pegagan (Centella asiatica L.), dan sembung (Blumea balsamifera L.). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas jamu tersebut. Sebanyak 106 pasien pasca stroke tercatat melakukan pengobatan berulang menggunakan ramuan jamu RRJ Hortus medicus terhitung sejak sebelum tahun 2013 sampai 2018. Rekam medis dari 106 pasien tersebut ditelusur dan dianalisis. Parameter efektivitas yang dinilai adalah skor Neurological Impairment Scale (NIS). Penggunaan ramuan jamu oleh pasien dapat memperbaiki rerata skor NIS pada 58% pasien yang berarti bahwa ramuan jamu memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut sebagai ramuan jamu untuk perawatan pasca stroke sesuai dengan persyaratan BPOM. Cortex of meranti sarang punai is known contains the secondary metabolite such as saponin, flavonoid, and tannin which can act as an antibacterial agent. The research was aims to know the antibacterial activity of methanol extract of meranti sarang punai against Staphylococcus aureus and Propionibacterium bacteria. Maceration was chosen as the extraction methods with methanol as a solvent. The antibacterial test was done by disc diffusion method in Nutrient Agar (NA) media with concentrations 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and 30%; while the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) was done by solid dilution method with concentrations 5%, 4%, 3%, 2%, and 1%. The results showed that the methanol extract of meranti sarang punai has antibacterial activity against the S. aureus with Inhibitory Zone (IZ) at concentrations of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and 30% respectively 16,68; 17,27; 18,41; 19,4; 20,57; and 21,46 mm, while against P. acnes was 12,61; 13,65; 14,57; 15,53; 16,58; and 17,46 mm. This study used 30 male white rats which were divided into 6 treatment groups, each groups consistent of 5 test animals. Group I was normal control, group II was negative control (High cholesterol died and streptozotocin 30 mg/kgBW, group III was positive control (Simvastatin suspension), group IV, V, VI were each given an ethanol extract of cordyline fruticose leaves at a dose of 100 mg/kgBW, 150 mg/kgBW and 200 mg/kgBW for 14 consecutive days. Measurements of analyzed using a one-way statistical test (ANOVA) at 95% confidence level and continued with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test to analyze differences between the groups. Kulit pisang klutuk mengandung metabolit sekunder seperti flavonoid, polifenol, dan saponin yang dapat menurunkan kadar glukosa darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas dan formula yang baik sediaan kapsul ekstrak etanol kulit pisang klutuk (Musa balbisiana Colla) sebagai antidiabetes pada mencit jantan yang diinduksi aloksan. Aloksan yang digunakan dengan dosis 170 mg/ kg BB. Mencit dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yang terdiri dari kelompok kontrol negatif (CMC Na 0,5%), kelompok kontrol positif (metformin 1,3 mg/20 g BB mencit), kelompok F1 (3,5 mg/20 g BB mencit dengan 2 % Sodium Starch Glycolate -SSG), kelompok F2 (3,5 mg/ 20 g BB mencit dengan 4 % SSG), dan kelompok F3 (3,5 mg/ 20 g BB mencit dengan 8 % SSG). Hasil analisis menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan bermakna antara kelompok kontrol positif dan kelompok F2. Persentase penurunan kadar glukosa darah yang diperoleh yaitu 65,05 %. Hasil evaluasi sediaan menunjukkan bahwa ketiga formula sediaan kapsul memenuhi persyaratan. Daun gamal menghasilkan minyak atsiri yang dapat digunakan sebagai anti bakteri dan anti skabies. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui komponen penyusun senyawa minyak atsiri dalam daun gamal. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengambil minyak atsiri dari daun gamal adalah destilasi uap air. Minyak atsiri yang dihasilkan dianalisis menggunakan Gas Chromatography Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS). Salah satu sumber bahan alam yang diketahui memiliki aktivitas antioksidan adalah limus (Mangifera foetida Lour.), sejenis mangga dari suku anacardiaceae yang merupakan buah lokal Indonesia. Ekstrak kernel biji limus (EBL) telah diketahui memiliki aktivitas sebagai antioksidan. Aktivitas antoksidan dapat ditingkatkan dengan pembuatan sediaan nanopartikel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengupayakan peningkatan aktivitas antioksidan biji limus dengan memodifikasi ekstrak menjadi sediaan nanopartikel. Pembuatan sediaan nanopartikel dilakukan dengan metode gelasi ionik dan untuk memastikan terbentuknya nanopartikel ekstrak, dilakukan karakterisasi meliputi ukuran partikel, indeks polidispersi dan nilai zeta potensial. Peningkatan aktivitas antioksidan dari nanopartikel ekstrak biji limus (NEBL) dilakukan dengan cara membandingan nilai IC50-nya dengan nilai IC50 EBL, dan untuk melihat potensinya dilakukan dengan cara membandingkannya dengan Vitamin. Metode pengukuran aktivitas antioksidan yang digunakan adalah metode DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl). Data IC50 dianalisis menggunakan uji One Way Annova dan uji lanjut Post-hoc LSD dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh sediaan nanopartikel ekstrak biji limus yang memiliki karakteristik meliputi; ukuran partikel 2,91 nm, nilai indeks polidispersi 0, 456 dan nilai zeta potensial sebesar +56 mV dan nilai IC50 sebesar 1,166±0,021 µg/mL. Nilai IC50 dari EBL  adalah 9,127±0,022 dan Vitamin C adalah 3,933±0,013.
