Meanwhile, other findings are that pregnant women get tired quickly (81.82%), many are not orderly to wear masks (76%), about the effects of Covid on mothers and fetuses (over 50%). Health cadres have not been optimal in assisting pregnant women in preventive and follow-up efforts. This community service program aims to empower health cadres in helping pregnant women during the pandemic by increasing knowledge \"About Covid-19 for pregnant women, prevention, and management efforts\". The service methods are a lecture and brainstorming activity for ten health cadres representing five hamlets. It is hoped that health cadres can become companions for pregnant women during the pandemic, as mediators in delivering health knowledge for mothers and fetuses, and also giving preventive efforts they must. Community service activities through face-to-face and online meetings in Turen Hamlet, Jetis II Community Health Center, and Bantul shows an increasing knowledge of health cadres. The discussion results before the lecture are that 35% of health cadres can answer correctly, and 85% can answer and explain accurately and adequately after the lecture. Conclusion: Efforts to increase knowledge about Covid-19 for pregnant women through health cadres' assistance are necessary to reduce the morbidity and mortality rate of mothers and fetuses.","PeriodicalId":17710,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan: Publikasi Hasil Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat","volume":"10 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86247271","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Corn is one of the main village products but still uses conventional cultivation methods and has not implemented farming management, so its utilisation is not optimal. The crop yields in the form of shelled corn are sold to Singkawang at a price of IDR 4000 per kg. Lack of knowledge and skills, including corn diversification technology, is the reason why this village is not yet developed. The impact is that the use of corn to increase household food consumption patterns has not been carried out. One of the partners of this service program is the dissemination of technology to the community, one of which is PKK. The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge and skills of PKK members so that they are able to improve food consumption patterns and initiate new income for families. The solution is to transfer processed diversification technology that is applied to food products, namely healthy noodles from corn and vegetables. Implementation methods include socialisation, technology dissemination, evaluation and monitoring. Mentoring activities were carried out 1 to 2 times with the target schools for mentoring, among others, SDN Karang Sidemen, SDN Persil, SDN Rangkep, SDN Repuk Sintung Barat, SDN Senurus, and MI NW Nurul Hidayah. Mentoring activities are centred on two focus activities, namely: (1) Grouping students based on basic literacy and numeracy skills; (2) Identifying the number of students who have learning difficulties. Each school is assisted by their respective regional facilitators (FASDA). From this community service, we obtained that students who have good literacy skills are more than those who have numeracy skills, the number of students who experience functional learning difficulties is relatively not different, mentoring activities are running well and in accordance with the expectations of the implementing team, the obstacles encountered are related to mastery of literacy and numeracy concepts, facilities and infrastructure and conditions of students at the time of grouping. The results of the mentoring activity showed that the students' ability in literacy and numeracy was increasing. In addition, because they are in groups with students who have the same ability, students become more confident in class.","PeriodicalId":17710,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan: Publikasi Hasil Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87535697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
