The technique of gas-timing r.f. magnetron sputtering purposed by us, the feeding gas is on-off controlled periodically in such a way that the deposited AlOxNy film has a quite stable composition of aluminum, nitrogen and oxygen (Al:O:N=52:18:30%) all over the entire film. The AlN-ISFET devices were structured. The pH-sensitivity characteristics show increasing sensitivity depended on film thickness. The portlets support the simulations of climate data with the MM5 modeling system and the visualization of the results through Vis5D. Our main goal is to provide an easy way for the researchers to work with MM5 and to utilize the Thaigrid infrastructure, where large computational resources are readily available. By using the portal framework, the users will be able to use a typical Web browser to create the simulation models. After all the required parameters in MM5 have been set, the portlets will submit the job to the Thaigrid system. Once the computation is done, the resulting data will be available for visualizing or downloading through the browser. A DC link provides an economical way to interconnect areas with long-distance separation or those with different frequencies or incompatible frequency control. A TCSC, a series capacitor bank shunted by a thyristor-controlled reactor, provides fast and reliable power flow control. The presence of a DC link and a TCSC introduces complexity in power flow calculation. It is therefore proposed in this paper the unified Newton-Raphson technique for solving the AC part, the DC part and the TCSC part simultaneously. This paper applies a neural network algorithm called self-organizing map (SOM) to monitor traffic measurement anomalies collected from an actual cellular network service provider. Results show that the SOM algorithm is able to detect global anomalies as well as identify which KPIs of the core network are abnormal. The procedure for the analysis approach is composed of three steps. First, the cancer cells in the microscopic image are segmented based on neural network and mathematical morphology. Next, the features consisting of average values of L*; a*, b*, area and circularity ratio of each cell are extracted. Finally, the classification is operated using the Euclidean distance in CIELab color space. Results from our computer-aided analysis system show a promising solution to the traditional manual analysis. That is, the cancer cell is appropriately segmented. The oscillation in the LC input filter of a three-phase PWM rectifier is damped by controlling voltage across the filter inductor. The principle is based on controlling the switches such that the input current of the filter follows the reference sine wave which is in-phase with the voltage to improve the power factor. Physical theory of diffraction (PTD) is applied to calculate the radiation characteristics of proposed reflector antenna. The optimized feed distance is calculated from the aperture efficiency and has investigated the influence of the feed position on the HPBW, coverage area, and gain performance. The quadratic reflector antenna prototype is designed and developed to confirm the validity of this approach. The objectives of the procedure are finding out whether the location is appropriate to grow rice, and reducing any risk in the investment of rice yield production. There were many researchers trying to find the precise results of rice yield prediction, however, the proposed methods are complicated and unique. This paper, therefore, is aimed to develop rice yield prediction procedure using the Support Vector Regression method (SVR), one of the most widely used techniques in data prediction. The prediction method in this paper is divided into 3 phases, i.e., soil nitrogen prediction, rice stem weight prediction and rice grain weight prediction. We compare the results with the commercial software, i.e., DSSAT4 program implementing Crop Simulation Model (CSM-Rice simulation model). The results indicate that our method is comparable with that of the CSM-Rice simulation model. To satisfy this requirement, an improved single-phase inverter using soft-switching technique is proposed. The proposed power inverter circuit is composed of a ZVT-PWM boost dc-dc converter and a LLCC resonant inverter. The dc-link voltage amplitude is controlled by ZVT-PWM boost dc-dc converter with soft-switching transition. The stable sinusoid ac output voltage is inverted from dc-link voltage via a LLCC resonant inverter. Since the electric motor drive is an interdisciplinary course, the students need to sufficiently know several backgrounds such as machines, digital control system, programming, and power electronics. Therefore, the learning laboratory is intended to design both hardware and software as modules. So students would easily learn the hardware implementation of overall system circuit by circuit. Similarly, codes of each functional block are well defined and written by using object oriented programming (OOP) concept. As a result, students can clearly understand the complex control of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) using quadrature encoder pulse (QEP), known as AC servo drive.
