The Lommel integral, diffraction correction procedure, is applied to the model. Nonlinear least square algorithm, iterative computation in forward model, is employed to minimize the error of the predicted parameters efficiently. To validate the model, the ultrasonic signal is measured in the reflection mode experiment. The system consists of PVA hydrogel as a testing sample immersed in water tank and 10 MHz unfocused piston transducer. Before the transducer is utilized to generate the ultrasonic beam, the alignment between sample and transducer must proceed to get the maximum spectrum of the ultrasonic incident beam. The properties of PVA hydrogel in the experimental results are shown in density, dispersion and thickness in micron scale. Finally, the purposed model has potential to estimate other parameters such as the scatterer size in future work.","PeriodicalId":176588,"journal":{"name":"2008 5th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology","volume":"216 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121149652","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

GSTM accurately and robustly estimates motion vectors in an image sequence, while SOM classifies the estimated motion vectors in an unsupervised manner. Consequently, the segmentation of an image sequence is achieved. Simulation results show that the combination of the two techniques is successful for both synthetic and real image sequences.","PeriodicalId":176588,"journal":{"name":"2008 5th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124842814","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The power stage of this new fuel cell emulator consists of a current source converter (buck rectifier) and a dc-to-dc buck converter. With the collaboration of these two power electronics circuits and a DSPbased controller, the proposed fuel cell emulator provides both emulated V-I fuel cell characteristic and high-quality output voltage and current. This research mainly focuses on emulating the behavior of two well-known fuel cell systems: proton exchange membrane fuel cell and solid oxide fuel cells. The proposed fuel cell emulator can effectively perform in all three operation regions, i.e. activation, ohmic and concentration. Analysis, modeling and control strategy are presented. Finally, both static and dynamic performances of the proposed fuel cell emulator are experimentally verified.","PeriodicalId":176588,"journal":{"name":"2008 5th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122450956","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, we recall the binary vote assignment grid (BVAG) model that imposes neighbours binary vote assignment to its logical grid structure on replicated data copies. Based on this model, we extend our work to design the distributed transaction semantic in order to manage BVAG transaction both in normal and failure cases. We present an implementation of the system. The proposed distributed transaction semantic shows that the system preserves the data consistency and support advance fault-tolerant through synchronization approach.","PeriodicalId":176588,"journal":{"name":"2008 5th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology","volume":"771 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122622954","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The subscriberspsilas perspective drives ISPs eager to support their requirements by offering SLAs across domains. Under deregulatory environment, this paper has adopted a path-classification scheme in order to capture the freedom of policy selection. To prevent selfish path provisioning in the interdomain network, we propose the utility function that includes the penalty term. By means of Nash equilibrium, the equilibrium policy has been found with searching algorithm by applying the modified MSA. We investigate the equilibrium based on the proposed utility functions according to business relationships, namely, peer, wholesale and retail services. The experimental results show that the equilibrium policy leads ISPs to act as non-selfish behavior and to achieve high system performance.","PeriodicalId":176588,"journal":{"name":"2008 5th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123023385","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The realization technique is achieved by squaring the transconductance gain (gm) of the CMOS OTA. Its gm can be linearly tuned by an external bias current for more than 3 decades (2 uA-3 mA), with less than 2% nonlinearity for the input-voltage linear range of about 1 Vp. The usefulness of the proposed linear tunable tranconductor is demonstrated through an application example, an electronically tunable biquad filter. Then, HCgorilla had an execution stage composed of several units for those sophisticated processing. Since the execution stage kept physical separation, each function took different latency. This required instruction scheduling similarly to regular super scalar processors. We describe, in this paper, the improvement of HCgorilla to solve this issue. Specifically, the execution stage composed of arithmetic units is wave-pipelined in whole. This completely merges the parallel structure without physical separation. The waved multifunctional execution unit is effective to realize wide-range dynamic ILP (instruction level parallelism) at a rate higher than regular superscalar processors.","PeriodicalId":176588,"journal":{"name":"2008 5th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130354470","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
