This iterative method is based on smoothing equations which are the reformulation of the KKT first-order optimality conditions, by using the multipliers and the smoothing NCP function. Comparing with other QP-free method, in each iteration, the new algorithm only needs to solve two systems of smoothing linear equations with the same nonsingular coefficient matrix. It does not request the strict feasibility of the iterations including the initial point. We demand the reduction of either the objective function or part of the reformulation of KKT conditions per iteration without a penalty function and a filter. This method is implementable and globally convergent. Under mild conditions, we prove that the method has super linear convergence rate. Some numerical results show that the new method is effective.","PeriodicalId":174908,"journal":{"name":"2013 Sixth International Conference on Business Intelligence and Financial Engineering","volume":"49S1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116746166","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We can reach the pure strategy Nash equilibrium solution and the mixed strategy Nash equilibrium solution in different circumstances, and then contrast the differences of game results between scenarios with prosecution and non-prosecution scenarios. The results show that the payoffs and costs of governments, food corporations in food supply chain can influence the equilibrium results, and consumers' prosecution can decrease the probability that governments supervise food corporations.","PeriodicalId":174908,"journal":{"name":"2013 Sixth International Conference on Business Intelligence and Financial Engineering","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125103402","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Then, this paper forecasts coal consumption value until next decade by collecting 1980-2010 coal consumption data and choosing ETS and Holt-Winters forecasting models from multitudinous models. At the same time, combining with the historical data and predicted results, different trends of total and proportion of coal consumption has carried on the detailed analysis and explanation of each sector. Finally, total coal consumption forecast value is obtained by combining the results of two univariate forecasting models. Empirical results show that by 2020, total coal demand is 4.7 billion tons of china. Therefore, the implementation of energy conservation and emissions reduction, improvement of energy efficiency, development of new energy and other measures are more help ensure the sustainable development of China.","PeriodicalId":174908,"journal":{"name":"2013 Sixth International Conference on Business Intelligence and Financial Engineering","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132631593","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The change not only decreases the enthusiasm in agricultural production, and may even threaten the grain production security. To find out the key factors influencing the agricultural trade balance, this paper develops a new gravity model of agricultural trade balance by using weighted distance and introducing comparative quantity of bilateral trade. Furthermore, the robustness of the model is discussed, such as heteroskedasticity, autocorrelation and endogeneity. According to the regression results, the corresponding recommendations are suggested for improving Chinese agricultural balance.","PeriodicalId":174908,"journal":{"name":"2013 Sixth International Conference on Business Intelligence and Financial Engineering","volume":"210 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114656079","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this hybrid intelligent model, FA is used to find the optimal values of LSSVR parameters (i.e., penalty coefficient and kernel function parameters), in order to achieve fast and accurate prediction results. To evaluate the forecasting ability of FA-LSSVR, its performance is compared with other models, including hybrid intelligent methods (LSSVR models with other popular optimization methods), and single models with given predetermined parameters (i.e., support sector regression (SVR), LSSVR, back-propagation neural network (BPNN), autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA)). The empirical results reveal that FA-LSSVR outperforms other benchmarks in terms of prediction accuracy, time saving and robustness, suggesting that the proposed approach is a promising alternative to forecast the crude oil price.","PeriodicalId":174908,"journal":{"name":"2013 Sixth International Conference on Business Intelligence and Financial Engineering","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126227997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
