Like the rest of the countries of the world, the demand for power is increasing day by day in our country. At present, power failure has become an acute problem for this country. It has become hard to solve the power crisis. There are several reasons behind this problem such as limitation of resources, low generation capacity, high demand, derated capacity of power station machineries etc. To become a developed country, Ghana needs to overcome the problem of power crisis soon. Electricity is a very important factor in developing the economy and the standard of living of a country. It must be generated using the national resource of that country. Ghana largely depends on natural gas and hydro power stations to generate major portion of power. The country lags behind than its expected production capacity. Though many power generation units have been added to the national grid to solve the power crisis issue, it is not enough. High demand and increasing need of power have created challenge for the power stations to meet the demand. In our country, a major portion of total population still does not have the access to electricity. Only 10% of the rural households have electricity connection and there are some parts of Ghana which will not get the access of electricity connection from the national grid within next 30 years.","PeriodicalId":174733,"journal":{"name":"Communications on Applied Electronics","volume":"1998 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128230578","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

BLDC Motor as the name implies they have neither brushes nor commutators, the commutation of BLDC Motor is performed with the help of Electronic circuit, and these Motors have several advantages over Brushed DC Motor which include: better torque versus speed characteristic, higher efficiency, better dynamic response due to low rotor inertia, higher speed range etc. This paper presents the execution of PID controller and Fuzzy Tuned PID controller utilizing Simulink display. Tuning the PID gains and processing utilizing conventional PID controller is troublesome and poor vigorous, it doesn't give fulfilled control characteristic when compare with Fuzzy Tuned PID controller. From the simulation results it is clearly demonstrated that Fuzzy Tuned PID controller gives better control execution when compared with conventional PID controller. Even a small increase in energy yield can lead to improved photovoltaic power plant performance and significant reduction in solar generated electricity cost. Evaluating real time data for determining the plants performance plays significant role as it is the climatic conditions which directly affect the power output and evaluating the climatic conditions that can lead to increase the energy yield can bring revolution in the field of solar photovoltaic. This paper evaluates simultaneous effect and role of irradiance and cell temperature on the dc voltage, dc current and dc power, the key determinant of energy yield based on the real field data set of 5 MW grid connected Solar Photovoltaic power plant of Western Rajasthan. It brings forward for the first time ever that high cell temperature plays defining positive role in increasing the energy yield and consequently improving the plant’s performance in contrast to literature and research papers. Radar equations are derived to obtain the minimum detection signal (Pmin), system loss (Lsys), minimum signal-to-noise ratio (SNR)min and maximum detection range equation (Rmax) respectively. Radar parameters such as transmit peak power (Pt), antenna gain (G), radar cross section (RCS), bandwidth (B), and other parameters are analysed in the radar equations. Radar system losses (Lsys) are accounted into the modified radar equations and calculated to be 21.1 dB. The modified radar equations with Pt = 15 kW, and Rmax = 500 km, also gives a significantly lower value of SNR = 27.0 dB. Analysing the radar performance, MATLAB simulation program is used to evaluate the radar performance equations with different parameter values. Target detection radar signal is a difficult problem when the SNR is low, thereby causing the constant false alarm rate (CFAR) processor to adjust threshold. Simulation results are presented respectively.","PeriodicalId":174733,"journal":{"name":"Communications on Applied Electronics","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115257481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the gain and bandwidth of the microstrip patch antenna are very less. The main objective of this paper is to enhance the gain of the microstrip antenna by using frequency selective surfaces as a superstrate. In this paper, a microstrip array antenna with 2 elements is proposed. To increase the bandwidth, a partial ground plane method is used. Also the comparison of two FSS layers with different shapes i.e. Square loop and Double Square Split Ring is performed. By using a partial ground plane, the bandwidth has been increased by 87%. The gain of microstrip patch antenna array is calculated to be 4.43 dB by using square loop FSS whereas by using Double Square SRR, it is found to be 7.61 dB. The proposed antenna outperformed the square loop FSS and with a bandwidth of 1.74 GHz which can be used in number of wireless applications such as WiMax, WiFi, etc. General Terms Antenna Performance, Gain characteristics","PeriodicalId":174733,"journal":{"name":"Communications on Applied Electronics","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115489927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The said RF energy is currently transmitted from various sources/transmitters which include mobile base stations, mobile, telephone, TV/radio broadcast stations and handheld radios. The propensity to gather or harvest RF energy from the committed sources empowers or authorizes wireless charging for low power appliances or devices which furthermore results in better product design dependableness and utilization. The battery operating systems can be charged gradually and slowly to abolish battery replacements or to extend battery durability disposable batteries can be used. The battery free systems i.e. RF energy based devices can be designed to work upon availability i.e. when the sufficient charge is accumulated. In all the cases mentioned above the devices or the appliances can be operated without the usage of cables battery panels connectors which can make these devices more mobile and portable while operation and charging as well. All this and more can be achieved by RF based energy harvesting and main cause or reason to harvest RF based energy is that it is consequentially FREE energy. The sources of RF energy are increasing day by day like mobile based transmitters from which more and more energy can be harvested. Such concept differs from the centralized style of processing and storage used with the cloud computing concept. Fog computing technology improves both the performance and the efficiency. The main cause of advantages gained from fog computing is the reduced amount of transferred data to the cloud need to be analyzed, processed, and stored. little research has been dedicated to study how to efficiently apply big data analytics locally where data has been collected and stored. This study proposes a fog computing-based architecture for prediction of the breast cancer prognosis. The proposed architecture uses the BCOAP model for the prediction purpose. It addresses the problem of real time processing of large amounts of data without overwhelming the data center at the cloud. It distinguishes between the processes to be performed on the cloud and the others to be performed on the fog.
