Through optimization at both algorithm level and architecture level, the new architecture greatly shortens the long critical path introduced by the conventional T-algorithm. The design example provided in this work demonstrates more than twice improvement in clock speed with negligible computation overhead while maintaining decoding performance.","PeriodicalId":174433,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115419876","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we present a method of emending color measured by different spectrophotometers for computer-aided color matching. This method emends the color data measured by different spectrophotometers using PANTONE color cards as criterion to reduce color aberration while transferring color data from long-distance. By the method, the enterprise and customers can get available color data and the enterprise can use the amended color data for computer-aided color matching conveniently. It is proved that the method can help the printing & dying industry improve the effect of color transferring and make the industry more profitable.","PeriodicalId":174433,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124432421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tedious tasks like monitoring a field or sensitive ones like keeping track of an endangered species can be automated through a system of coherent sensors. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are self-organized network consisting of such sensors coupled with a radio unit. The nodes, powered by batteries, have limited computation capabilities. Most applications of WSNs require deployment in unattended remote locations. Therefore, power awareness is fundamental to data dissemination and routing in a WSN.","PeriodicalId":174433,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123165780","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The antenna along with the proposed metamaterial cover is designed to resonate at 2.31GHz frequency (in S-Band). Proposed metamaterial cover significantly reduces the return loss and increases the directivity of the antenna in comparison to rectangular micro strip patch antenna alone. The proposed antenna is suitable for application requiring low bandwidth space and reduced return loss, at 2.31GHz frequency. The scope of this paper is to design and simulate the proposed artificial structure with simultaneous negative permittivity and permeability or the so-called LH MTM. Nicolson-Ross-Weir approach has been used for verifying the double-negative properties of the proposed metamaterial cover.","PeriodicalId":174433,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115741045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A patient's heart problem is often inferred by the doctor after listening to the heartbeat sound. This technique is known as auscultation. Auscultation is the most difficult skill for a doctor, since this skill can be acquired only by experience. If these sounds can be separated, the doctors can make the diagnosis more accurately and easily and also the chances for finding a disease at an early stage increases. We propose a technological solution for the conventional auscultation which is based on source separation of heart sound (S1, S2, S3 and S4) using FastICA and its FPGA implementation. The heart sound mixtures are captured by placing the required number of sensors at appropriate positions in body. The signals can be used for observation. The sound mixtures to be separated into its sources were given as input to FastICA algorithm. The separated heartbeat sounds can be processed).","PeriodicalId":174433,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"103 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127131916","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They have become fundamental applications in electronic commerce and information access, providing suggestions that effectively prune large information spaces so that users are directed toward those items that best meet their needs and preferences. A variety of techniques have been proposed for performing recommendation, including content-based, collaborative, knowledge-based and other techniques. To improve performance, these methods have sometimes been combined in hybrid recommenders. This paper explains the landscape of actual and possible hybrid recommenders, and introduces a novel hybrid, a system that combines content boosted recommendation and collaborative Filtering to recommend restaurants.","PeriodicalId":174433,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129690287","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An image mosaic is a method of assembling multiple overlapping images of same scene into a larger one. The output of image mosaic will be the union of two input images. In this paper we have to use three step automatic image mosaic methods. The first step is taking two input images and finding out the corners in both the images, second step is removing out the false corner in both the images and then by using homography we find its matched corner pair and we get final output mosaic. The experimental results show the proposed algorithm produces an improvement in mosaic accuracy, efficiency and robustness.","PeriodicalId":174433,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129462834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite of all the hype surrounding the cloud, users are still reluctant to adopt cloud computing because public cloud services process users' data on machines that users do not own hence there is a fear of leakage of users' commercially sensitive data. Due to these reasons, it is very necessary that cloud users' be vigilant while selecting the service providers present in the cloud. To address this problem, selection of trustworthy cloud providers is proposed where users or enterprises employ the services of trustworthy service providers in the cloud. The paper proposes a system based on cooperative model of society where users select trustworthy service providers based on the recommendations given by their trustworthy acquaintances. The uncertainty present in the recommendations is handled through Fuzzy Inference System (FIS). Fuzzy inference system is capable of inferring crisp output even when the inputs are imprecise or uncertain, mimicking the reasoning of human mind. Experiments confirm that selection of trustworthy cloud providers is an effective and feasible way of estimating the trustworthiness of the service providers and thus helping users in protecting their data.","PeriodicalId":174433,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"96 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123942255","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
