It is shown that the rate of decrease in the specific surface area as a result of thermal aging is dependent upon the aging temperature and adheres closely to the relationship described by the Arrhenius equation. The theoretical aspects of a possible mechanism operative in the reduction of the specific surface area are discussed.","PeriodicalId":17210,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association.
