IoT devices are widely used everywhere and leads to user privacy, big data as well as in data and server management problems but malware is from the biggest challenges facing IoT devices where there are different types of malware like viruses, Trojan horses, worms, spy-ware and viruses, which can access and manipulate confidential information or cause a running problem in the system. As there are many types of malware but at the same time there are different approaches for malware analysis. Therefore there are many approaches to handle malware analysis and each approach has its pros and cons. In this paper we will discuss security issues in IoT devices and different approaches for malware analysis and build a taxonomy for malware analysis tools and methodologies from different points of view as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each approach.","PeriodicalId":170532,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th International Conference on Computer Engineering and Systems (ICCES)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114828253","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These nuclear reactors need to be modeled to test the new controllers. Some of these models made severe approximations while others are too exact but too complex to design a controller. Due to these approximations, the designed conventional controller can't provide a good performance at all transient scenarios. This paper presents a multi-Point reactor core modeling of Egyptian second testing research reactor (ETRR-2) model. It also proposes Receding horizon predictive controller (RHPC) a type of Model predictive controller (MPC). The comparative experimental results show the superiority of Receding Horizon Predictive Controller over conventional controllers.","PeriodicalId":170532,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th International Conference on Computer Engineering and Systems (ICCES)","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116091540","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To evaluate (Pmax) tracking capabilities of photovoltaic modules, it is necessary to investigate the operating temperature of the photovoltaic modules and other environmental factors. In this work a proposed neural network model (NN) using differential evolution optimization technique (NN-DE) is introduced as a powerful tool for modeling photovoltaic cell operating conditions. The photovoltaic cell operating temperature is also predicted so that to investigate the temperature effect and irradiance related behavior. Temperature and current of the tested photovoltaic cell at wide range of different operating conditions were investigated. The simulation results were compared favorably against those obtained using conventional regression trees model.","PeriodicalId":170532,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th International Conference on Computer Engineering and Systems (ICCES)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127259516","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Normalized equations that govern the static actuation property of the round torsional micro-mirror device were derived. The relationship between rotation angle and driving voltage, and the dynamic equations were also introduced. An integral approximation was deduced to simplify the analytical simulation with error less than 2.5 %. The pull-in phenomenon was discussed leading to direct relationships of the electrode size with the pull-in angle and the maximum driving voltage taking into consideration the previous approximation. The modal analysis and mode shape has also been simulated. An excellent agreement between the static and dynamic finite element simulation and the mathematical analysis has been achieved.","PeriodicalId":170532,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th International Conference on Computer Engineering and Systems (ICCES)","volume":"47 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126635995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For overcoming the linearity problem, a combination of features including segmented regions properties, texture, edge, and SIFT keypoints are extracted from the segmented foreground regions. These features are normalized to solve the perspective distortion problem. The complete feature set and a partial of this set are utilized to train multiple regression models to predict the crowd density per region and enhance the prediction accuracy. Moreover, the cross-validation technique is used to select the training and testing datasets in order to increase the prediction accuracy. Categories of features are ranked based on a set of metrics reflecting their robustness with each regression model used. Using the ground truth data provided by the UCSD crowd dataset, the experimental results show that the proposed crowd density estimation method are more robust and provide crowd counting prediction with higher accuracy than previous methods.","PeriodicalId":170532,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th International Conference on Computer Engineering and Systems (ICCES)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127874311","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Looking forward to achieve the requirements of IoT that is not supported in the current systems, new access schemes are needed. Multi User Shared Access (MUSA) is suggested to be the non orthogonal multible access scheme that has the ability to support IoT for the next generation network. In this paper, a new type of codes called 5-ary code is used for spreading. The bit error rate performance analysis of an uplink MUSA system is studied for 5-ary codes and different types of spreading sequences with a short length. The analysis is also done while changing the ordering way to detect the users with Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) method.","PeriodicalId":170532,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th International Conference on Computer Engineering and Systems (ICCES)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132112322","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Massive MIMO is characterized by a large number of base station (BS) antennas, which makes it less susceptible to noise and fast fading. Unfortunately, this large antennas number does not enable the massive MIMO to get rid of the inter-cell interference originated from the problem of pilot contamination. In this article, we propose a spatiotemporal scenario that can mitigate the pilot contamination effects by avoiding synchronous pilot transmission in the time domain and following a pilot allocation algorithm in the spatial domain. We show that our proposed scenario provides a reduced level of inter-cell interference, which eventually gives it the ability to enhance the minimum and the mean achievable capacities per terminal.","PeriodicalId":170532,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th International Conference on Computer Engineering and Systems (ICCES)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131743932","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A phylogenetic tree is a branching topology that represents the evolutionary relationships among groups of organisms. Traditional construction methods of phylogenetic trees rely on building a multiple sequence alignment (MSA) of the corresponding sequences of organisms. However, achieving optimal MSA for a numerous number of sequences is computationally complex. Moreover, even if an optimal MSA is obtained, it may not reflect the evolutionary history of the sequences. So, several free-alignment methods for phylogenetic tree construction have been proposed. In this paper, we investigate a free-alignment construction method to infer the optimal phylogenetic tree based on differential evolution algorithm. The evaluation results confirm that the investigated method succeeds in building the optimal tree with accuracy higher than other considered methods.","PeriodicalId":170532,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th International Conference on Computer Engineering and Systems (ICCES)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133935047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Applied to Gallager-based global LDPC code, it shows that the proposed algorithm, when employed on GLDPC with the multi-error correction BCH subcodes, reduces the complexity of the conventional Soft-Decision Decoding (SDD) with Chase algorithm at a cost of slight degradation in the error performance. The approach is built on eliminating the employment of the Chase SISO decoder at the Generalized Check Nodes (GCNs) where the expected number of errors is within the correction capability of the Hard-Decision Decoder (HDD). As a case study, the decoder is considered under AWGN channel and Simulation results are presented showing the complexity and performance of the conventional and proposed algorithms.","PeriodicalId":170532,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th International Conference on Computer Engineering and Systems (ICCES)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130673324","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
