As materials\u0000for permeation grouting are applied not only cement mortar or silica gel in many compositions but multi-molecular\u0000organic solutions too. From multi-molecular organic solutions for permeation grouting are in use various synthetic resins\u0000such as acrylic, urea-formaldehyde, or other polymer resins. Urea-formaldehyde resin has right physical and mechanical\u0000properties for applying in soil stabilization but additives can change these properties. For example, additives can increase\u0000density, pH-rate, and gel-formation time of urea-formaldehyde resin. Additives can decrease viscosity of solutions based\u0000on urea-formaldehyde resin. Additives can improve environmental aspects of use of multi-molecular organic solutions\u0000for grouting of sandy soils. Long-time investigations of influence of additives on properties of multi-molecular organic\u0000solutions used for soil stabilization give good results for optimization of composition of materials for grouting.
The proceedings of the 13th international conference "Modern Building Materials, Structures and Techniques" (MBMST 2019)

Successful application of self-compacting concrete (SCC) is difficult to\u0000achieve due to increased flowability of the concrete mixture. Segregation of aggregate is one of the major problems\u0000during construction and ultimately influences the strength and durability of SCC. A fresh self-compacting concrete\u0000with poor segregation resistance can lead to a nonuniform distribution of coarse aggregates in the concrete volume,\u0000contributing to blockage of concrete flow, and nonuniform mechanical properties and durability at the hardened concrete. The article presents the unique method for quantitative assessment of aggregate segregation in hardened\u0000self-compacted concrete. A digital image analysis procedure using original lighting microscope equipment has been\u0000placed to investigate the concrete segregation behavior. The photographs of concrete specimen surfaces were taken to\u0000calculate measurements of aggregate volume in concrete. The research results showed that the originally developed\u0000attachment and unique aggregate segregation assessment method are useful in laboratory tests and could be used in the\u0000on-site application.
The proceedings of the 13th international conference "Modern Building Materials, Structures and Techniques" (MBMST 2019)

For safety reasons, these members are mostly made of laminated glass. Polymeric interlayers are\u0000used for glass plates bonding and their shear stiffness, as a time-temperature dependent parameter, meaningly influences\u0000the response of the entire perpendicularly loaded laminated glass pane. Even though the shear stiffness of the interlayer\u0000is available, the exact stress-state analysis of the pane is rather challenging. However, the vast majority of these tests involves simply supported\u0000beams, with substantial amounts of longitudinal reinforcement, subjected to three- or four point bending. This paper\u0000presents the results of a significant experimental programme comprising eighteen simply supported – cantilevered slabstrips without stirrup reinforcement, and with a light amount of longitudinal reinforcement. Stirrups in the surrounding\u0000parts founded a shear critical region located in the hogging region of the simple span. All beams failed in shear within\u0000this shear critical region, the slenderness of which was fixed for all the beams. The influence of the concrete strength,\u0000which is of special interest in relation to lightly reinforced members, was investigated by varying the concrete strength\u0000systematically within the test series. The influence of the concrete strength and mix with respect to crack roughness was\u0000further studied using a large number of concrete cores prepared with coloured epoxy. The cores were all extracted from\u0000various zones containing critical and “non-critical” shear cracks. Photogrammetric measurements (digital image correlation) and optical fiber measurements were conducted in the shear critical region on all tested specimens, and detailed\u0000analysis on the propagation and kinematics of critical cracks are presented.
The proceedings of the 13th international conference "Modern Building Materials, Structures and Techniques" (MBMST 2019)

In recent years is it increasingly used also for load-bearing structural elements such as beams, columns, ribs, railings, etc. In addition to flat glass and hollow glass blocks, which have been used historically for non-load-bearing partitions and facades, new load bearing structures from solid glass bricks are arising. Their greater use is hampered by a lack of knowledge of their material properties. Also, their joining is difficult, as can be seen from the realized structures and published works focused on the glass bricks masonry. Most often, transparent adhesives or special mortars are used on the joint between glass bricks. In addition to some examples of completed glass brick structures, the paper is aimed at determining the material properties of glass bricks, which are a prerequisite for the design of safe structures. Two sets of experiments were performed. There were made three-point bending tests and compression tests to determine the bending tensile strength, modulus of elasticity and compressive strength of glass bricks.
The proceedings of the 13th international conference "Modern Building Materials, Structures and Techniques" (MBMST 2019)

The linear and non-linear evolution creep strains is\u0000evaluated in the analytical manner by using an average stress-strain approach. The cracking and creep phenomena are\u0000coupled by two reologic elements connected in a series. In this way, the total strain of concrete prior to cracking is determined by a linear creep law accounting for the stress rate effect, while the post-cracking behavior is specified as a\u0000sum of elastic strain between cracks, creep and cracked concrete strain, defined by the descending branch of the\u0000stress-strain law. The smeared crack approach is adopted and, in turn, this law is associated with the tension stiffening\u0000phenomenon. The formulae accounting for the tension stiffening decay with time due to time-variable stress are proposed and applied in prediction of the inertia moment of the cracked RC flexural members along with the obtained\u0000results verification with the experimental data.
The proceedings of the 13th international conference "Modern Building Materials, Structures and Techniques" (MBMST 2019)

This requires a timetable for the construction stages processes. The schedule is also easy to adapt and to plan\u0000the renovation of a building or maintenance works. Without a good schedule site manager cannot effectively handle\u0000construction area processes. The solution to this problem is the proposed productivity bot concept based on metaheuristic\u0000algorithms. Metaheuristic algorithms allow to improve the construction planning process schedules compared with conventional planning methods and equipment. The results of testing with construction planning data has shown that the\u0000metaheuristic algorithm achieved the main improvements during the first planning optimization stages. The proposed\u0000concept is expected to present results that are close to the optimal timetable and surpass classical methods for scheduling.\u0000Productivity bots act as a software engine complementing with the organization of construction or automation functionality. The technical condition of those pillars in the\u0000basement of the swimming pool was defined as the risk of structural collapse. Numerous cracks and the occurrence of\u0000deformation of reinforcing bars were noticed. Three columns were damaged in basement rooms. First of all, the cause\u0000of damage was determined. The actual load carrying capacity of the built pillars was checked. To this aim, the geometry\u0000of the columns was checked first and the actual strength class of built-in concrete. It was found that all columns were\u0000made of concrete of the same strength class and good homogeneity of concrete, but this concrete did not meet the\u0000standard requirements as a construction material for reinforced concrete structures. The new supporting structure was\u0000designed in the form of four-leg cross-sections made of an isosceles angle profile. Due to structural damage, an additional safety factor was adopted, increasing the total load per pillar by 50%. This approach took into account the possible\u0000redistribution of loads in the building structure that occurred as a result of damages.
The proceedings of the 13th international conference "Modern Building Materials, Structures and Techniques" (MBMST 2019)
