This study intends to monitor the alertness of driver by analyzing their facial expressions and eye variations. The developed smart processing system substantially reduces highway accidents. The proposed model considers various facial characteristics like PERCLOS, Eye Aspect Ratio (EAR), blink values, and yawning. The driver is continually observed by the camera in the proposed method. HC classifiers are used to identify the driver's face. CNN uses the extracted eye images to determine whether the eyes are closed. Based on the classification results, EAR is measured. If the mouth is detected to be open, the lip distance (yawn) is measured. Finally, a warning will be generated if the driver is in a drowsy state.","PeriodicalId":168942,"journal":{"name":"2023 7th International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics (ICOEI)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129681257","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

MATLAB is used to simulate both boost converters with buck boost converters (BBBC) and SEPIC converters with buck boost converters(SBBC). In this study, the performance of BBB converters and SBB converters was compared. The output waveform is used in the calculation of the ripple factors. When compared to normal boost with buck boost converters, the performance of SEPIC with buck boost converters is significantly better. Ripples are present in large amounts in a buck with buck boost converter. This ripple has the potential to generate harmonics, and the elimination of these harmonics typically requires the utilization of a sizable capacitor or an LC filter.","PeriodicalId":168942,"journal":{"name":"2023 7th International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics (ICOEI)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126909564","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

UAVs are used in tasks such as rescue operations and item delivery in remote areas, surveillance, agriculture, wildlife conservation, outer space and photography. Due to their low cost and high efficiency, it is used by diverse groups for both better and worse causes. The cases of malicious uses of military drones and spy drones employed are on a rise. The malicious activities deployed by the military drones may include air strikes at enemy military bases, army troops and in some cases end up causing the death of civilians in proximity. Drones that are used for espionage can retrieve valuable information regarding the different strategies of the military, can track the location of the army personnel and spy upon unsuspecting civilians. These drones are eliminated after being detected by the persons involved but sometimes in order to reduce risks, harmless delivery drones are also discarded. In order to aid against the malicious drone activity while making sure that unnecessary panic over the delivery drones and material-loss is not caused, a real-time computer vision system is proposed that can identify the drone in the given region of interest, give its relative location and classify the drone. The Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture, You Only Look Once Algorithm (YOLOV5), is used to classify the drone into one of the categories: Army, Surveillance and Delivery drones.","PeriodicalId":168942,"journal":{"name":"2023 7th International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics (ICOEI)","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129239542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Identification and detection are essential components of contemporary agro technology. In this case, AI technology was utilized to identify a disease in rose plants, although plant disease detection is difficult for sustainable agriculture. There are several instances of rose plant disease, and as a result, fascinating decoration is being lost. Due to this situation, which is getting worse every day in Bangladesh, the economy of agricultural sector is suffering. Bangladesh's population relies heavily on agriculture industry for their revenue. This study includes some disease detection of rose plants, albeit not all plants are affected equally by the illness. The plant leaf provides the plant with vital sustenance. When a leaf is ill, the plant is at its most vulnerable. Due to the accessibility of the sick leaf, disease identification is difficult. Agriculture field must be properly assessed to see significant improvements in proposed work. The best resource for creating this kind of disease detection model is deep learning technology. Image pre-processing and model analysis are steps in the disease detection construction process. Few CNN architectures are used in this study, including ResNet50, VGG-16 (Visual Geometry Group), MobileNetV2, and Inception V3. Four diseases have been identified in rose plant leaves. Here, image processing is investigated using a discovered approach and obtain a MobileNetV2 model accuracy of 96.11%.","PeriodicalId":168942,"journal":{"name":"2023 7th International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics (ICOEI)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123469824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the amount and variety of data stored and transmitted across different media continue to grow, security specifications need to be established at different levels of media access, and issues of confidentiality, integrity, authentication and continued availability have become key. The main goal of this research work is to ensure the highly secure transmission of multimedia files on the network. The proposed work deal with three modules Hiding text in image files, hiding text in audio files, and hiding an image in audio files using both cryptography and steganography techniques. For encryption RSA algorithm, compression is done by GZip algorithm, password field in the stego header for the authentication purpose and bipolar TER multiple base techniques are used for data hiding and security. At present, the system hides text, audio and image file and makes them more secure and efficient. In future research development IP headers are used to cover data to hide sensitive information.","PeriodicalId":168942,"journal":{"name":"2023 7th International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics (ICOEI)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121167030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different languages are present around the world for communication. Still, people who have lost their hearing and speaking ability by accidents and genetic birth often face difficulty in communication. Auditory-impaired people have found sign language helpful in communicating with others. Hearing-impaired people must always have a personal interpreter available for translations whenever they need to communicate. People with disability of hearing impairment find it challenging to interact with others on social media and the internet to form new relationships on their own. An open-source video-conferencing application that can translate sign language is quite helpful for the hearing impaired. Sign language recognition (SLR) has drawn a lot of attention as a way to close the enormous communication gap. However, sign language is far more complex and unpredictable when compared to other activities, making it challenging for reliable recognition. The Speech-to-Text API enables speech-impaired people who can read to comprehend others. The Sign Language Translation Application (SLTA) allows them to communicate by translating their sign language into text that others can understand. The proposed method uses python, the MediaPipe Framework for gesture data extraction, and the Deep Gesture Recognition (DGR) Model to identify the sign motion in real-time. The proposed method achieves the highest accuracy of 98.81% using a neural network comprised of Long-Short Term Memory units for sequence identification.","PeriodicalId":168942,"journal":{"name":"2023 7th International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics (ICOEI)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116513560","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is evidenced by the rapid establishment of intelligent systems to predict customer churn, retain current clients, and win new ones in various domains. Unfortunately, there is an extreme scarcity of real-world datasets for training and establishing retail banking intelligent systems. Moreover, the Machine Learning (ML) models supporting such existing systems are all black box. The trends in electronics and informatics like Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) have however provided a better approach to ML model accountability. This study leverages an Interpretable Machine Learning model to transparently predict the likelihood and cause of customer churn in retail banking. A real-world database (Berka) from a Czech bank was used for feature extraction using deep clustering. A dataset of features from the Berka database and a dataset from Kaggle were used to aid customer attrition prediction. Synthetic Minority Over Sampling Techniques (SMOTE) were then used to handle dataset imbalance before training, validating and testing with four tree-based and four standard machine learning approaches. The outstanding performance was achieved with random forest, a tree-based algorithm, on both datasets, with 99% accuracy, 98.5% recall, and 98.5% fl-score on the Berka dataset. It also scored 85 % accuracy, 77.5 % recall, and 77 % fl-score on the Kaggle dataset. Finally, Model-Agnostic Explanations (LIME) and SHapley Additive explanations (SHAP) are used for ML model accountability. This work can be reliably used to establish trustworthy intelligent systems in the financial sector and related domains.","PeriodicalId":168942,"journal":{"name":"2023 7th International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics (ICOEI)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121474306","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Major raw material for the textile industries is cotton. Many tedious processes are encountered to evolve cotton in its purest form to benefit textile industry. Even though there is a huge evolution in automation in many industries till today the cotton is fed manually to the delinter machines. One major challenge is to feed cotton to the delinter machines and also it is difficult to check the cotton on the delinter machines. Running idle delinter machines increases power consumption and reduces production effectiveness. As a result, the proposed solution calls for using a vacuum pump to transfer cotton from the storage into a container. The cotton is then fed to the delinter machines through a roller setup for steady flow in accordance with the level of cotton present in the machines, which is monitored by an ultrasonic level sensor and LCD Display. The proposed model helps to handle the problems of human intervention, improves power efficiency, and raises industry output with the aid of continual monitoring.","PeriodicalId":168942,"journal":{"name":"2023 7th International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics (ICOEI)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126349552","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
