The simulator has become possible to consider the tolerance allocation by comparing the simulation results under plurality error factors. In addition, by using results of the simulation that is capable to reproduce the satellite droplets on images, we have proposed a new image quality prediction equation that can be quantitative assessment of the influence of the satellite droplet. Furthermore, it has been found that a proposed prediction equation for image quality including satellite droplets is also possible to predict the bar code quality. * GJ開発本部 GI開発センター GelJet Ink Development Center, GJ (Gel Jet) Design & Development Division ** 研究開発本部 基盤技術開発センター Core Technology Development Center, Research and Development Group","PeriodicalId":167607,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Imaging Society of Japan","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127269655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A motion equation was theoretically derived for describing the rotation of a cylinder type display element. The motion equation suggests that there are two ways to lower the driving voltage. One is to increase the σ which represents the di ff erence in the surface electric charge densities of the black and white regions of the display elements. Another is to increase the sin θ . The θ is the angle between the boundary of the black and white regions and the perpendicular to the electric field. The rotations of display elements were also characterized experimentally, with particular emphasis on the threshold voltage and the response time, as a function of σ and θ . We found theoretically and experimentally that both σ and θ are important parameters to lower the driving voltage of twisting ball displays.","PeriodicalId":167607,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Imaging Society of Japan","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116962361","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Three components of time variation with di ff erent time scales were observed. The roughness and long-chain chemical species of the insulator surface enhanced the time variation with a time scale of several tens minutes. When the insulating polymer surface had dipoles, the drain current for organic field-e ff ect transistors(OFETs)significantly decreased with time. This decrease in drain current occurred several hundred milliseconds from the application of the gate voltage. The dielectric relaxation of polymer gate insulators caused an increase in the drain current immediately after the application of the gate voltage and lasted for several milliseconds. Based on the observed results, we suggested an ideal polymer gate insulator to achieve printed OFETs that have stability and high performance.","PeriodicalId":167607,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Imaging Society of Japan","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126218414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, low-cost processes and materials need to be developed so that they have a wide variety of uses. With this in mind, we have developed a low-temperature preparation method for electric materials such as semiconductors, insulators, and electrodes. In this paper, we discuss novel techniques for preparing high-performance SiO 2 using vacuum ultraviolet light and commercial Ag ink with decreased resistivity using pressure treatment in order to fabricate electric devices on reasonably priced plastic substrates. In addition, we also introduce a method for reducing the costs of developing printed devices by using Cu ink.","PeriodicalId":167607,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Imaging Society of Japan","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130746421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
