In mock-up RF matching network, 3dB hybrid coupler is used to divide the RF power coming from the RF source and to couple reflected power to isolated port for the protection of source. A single quarter wavelength coupled element provides narrow frequency band, thus for the broadband applications, multi-element coupled lines are used where several number of quarter wavelength element are cascaded in a specific manner. In multi-element coupled lines, coupling of middle element is found to be much higher as compared to side elements and provide small gap between the coupled lines. The increase in number of elements provide very narrow coupling gap and at a certain limit its fabrication becomes very difficult. To achieve the wider coupling gap in middle element, two broad band 8.34dB multi-elements sections are connected in tandem to have overall 3dB coupling. Initially a narrow band single element 3dB hybrid coupler is designed, simulated and presented in detail. It provides very narrow frequency band which is not sufficient for the application of mock-up RF system and therefore, ultra-wide band hybrid coupler is designed. Here, result of both the devices is presented in comparative manner.","PeriodicalId":167368,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Micro-Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ICMETE)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124591610","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The diplexer is mainly a electronic device which has three ports. Then an stub-loaded resonator is added the common input port of the diplexer's channel filter to achieve input matching at two pass-bands of diplexer. And two double E-shape resonators are added at output port to achieve desired pass-band. Two double E-shape resonators are work together with one mode produced by the common stub-loaded resonator to form a pass-band or operating band of the proposed diplexer. Extensive study is then conducted on coupling scheme involved in various parts of the diplexer. Double E-shape resonator is employed to create a desired transmission zero in the stop band and to achieve minimum insertion loss and high isolation, compact size. The proposed diplexer is in final simulated.","PeriodicalId":167368,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Micro-Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ICMETE)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128808886","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, the authors have analyzed SMPS (AC to DC converter) mathematically for evaluation of its performance measures. A standby fly back transformer has been used for the purpose of improving the system's reliability. We can online this standby unit through an imperfect switching device on failure of main operable unit. To solve the mathematical model Supplementary variable technique and Laplace transform techniques are used. A voice call is preferred over a data call in the paper. If a primary user (PU) wants to access the spectrum, then a SU with data call will be placed in buffer. If no SU with data call is accessing the spectrum, then one of the SU with voice call will give way for PU. The paper also uses elapsed time of SU calls in the buffer to allow the access of the spectrum. Comparison results shows that the buffering the SU data call significantly reduces the SU blocking probability of voice calls and non-completion probability with very minor increased forced termination probability. However, it leads to delay in data call SU completion.","PeriodicalId":167368,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Micro-Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ICMETE)","volume":"235 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127043971","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, last mile technologies especially the indoor last mile connectivity continue to evolve in terms of complimenting techniques to the existing wi-fi systems. In this paper, an indoor free space optical mobile communication system is explored with a fixed transmitter location and moving receiver. The mobility refers to the movement of receiver within the room which results in significant changes among key performance parameters. Some of these important parameters which undergoes the spatial variations are signal to noise ratio, propagation delays, power delivery at receiver and impulse response at different receiver locations. We analyze these system parameters for moving receiver at different indoor locations.","PeriodicalId":167368,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Micro-Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ICMETE)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131871187","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In IoT the smart objects are converted from physical to virtual world to connect with Internet. The IoT enables smart objects to observe, identify, and understand the world without intervention of human-being (Machine-to-Machine communication: M2M). Due to the increasing interest of IoT, M2M, and wireless sensor applications the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) IEEE802.11 standard has taken interest to define a new standard 802.11ah which focuses mainly on IoT applications. The IEEE 802.11ah exploits 802.11 standard advantages and satisfies the IoT requirements by handling large number of devices and that also with reduced power consumption at node/object level. This standard is still in progress and is expected to be approved by 2016.
