Malaysia’s second place ranking in cyberbullying practices among Asian countries in 2018 is striking, and it is worth highlighting that many public figures in the country have encountered cyberbullying upon deciding to remove their hijab. This paper examines how the first dehijabed Instagram posts by local celebrities, Uqasha Senrose, Emma Maembong and Liyana Jasmay incited religious-based cyberbullying. \u0000 \u0000Methodology: This paper employs a mixed-methods approach. We examined the initial post-dehijabbing captions, along with a total of 300 comments on these posts. Through a two-tiered coding and categorization process, we identified 168 religious-based comments containing religious-related terminologies, Arabic expressions, Quranic verses, and Hadith. From this subset, 70 of them exhibit cyberbullying characteristics: Defamation, Defense, Encouragement, Exclusion, Sexual Talk, Insult and Threat/Blackmail. The most prevalent categories, Insult (n=29) and Threat/Blackmail (n=18) were further qualitatively analysed using Laclau and Mouffe’s discourse framework and Halliday’s transitivity analysis. \u0000Findings: The findings reveal that public figures who have removed their hijab have created a hegemonic intervention that challenges Malay Muslim hegemonic practice. Meanwhile, cyberbullies have created a hegemonic closure to counter the hegemonic intervention created by the dehijabed celebrities through the implementation of “Insult” and “Threat”. Nevertheless, the effects of the hegemonic closure, which involves the stabilization of myths as objective reality and the rearticulation of the transgressors’ identities as the sinners, have reproduced the power imbalance between the dominant group and the antagonists. \u0000 \u0000Contributions: This paper demonstrated that while such practices allow cyberbullies to reinforce their dominance and hegemonic practices by manipulating religion, it is crucial to problematize religious-based cyberbullying discourse as yet another form of hegemonic intervention that appears to be a natural articulation in contemporary discourse. \u0000 \u0000Keywords: Discourse analysis, religious-based cyberbullying, Malay hegemony, dehijabing, Malaysian celebrities. \u0000 \u0000Cite as: Nur Syifaa, R., & Siti Nurnadilla, M. During lockdown period, the former Prime Minister delivered Special Messages on the updates of COVID-19 issues in Malaysia on television. A specialised Malay corpus, i.e., Cov-19 Related Special Messages Corpus, consisting of 19 Special Messages texts by Muhyiddin Yasin, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia was examined to reveal its lexical profiling. \u0000 \u0000Methodology: The specialised corpus was analysed using Sketch Engine tool, fully utilising the Wordlist, Keyword, and Concordance functions for the purpose of lexical analysis. The list of lexical items was then compared with the same list of items in the Malaysian Web (MalaysianWaC), a default Malay Reference Corpus set in Sketch Engine. \u0000 \u0000Findings: Through wordlist analysis, the most frequently used words in the analysed corpus are generally linked to political or government entity (e.g., kerajaan, menteri, and perdana) and the welfare of the Malaysians (e.g., rakyat, kesihatan, and epidemik). The keyword analysis indicates that words related to the containment of the pandemic and reference to the Malaysians (e.g., saudara-saudari, pelitup, and penjarakan) show high keyness values. Finally, through concordance analysis some words with high keyness scores are used differently in both specialised Malay corpus and Reference Corpus. From the analyses, the most used words in the specialised corpus are related to the issue of COVID-19. \u0000 \u0000Contributions: It is hoped that this study would contribute to the corpus linguistic studies on COVID-19 to comprehend the use of COVID-19 related lexical items. \u0000 \u0000Keywords: Corpus analysis, specialised corpus, COVID-19, WordSmith Tool, lexical analysis. \u0000 \u0000Cite as: Abdullah, S., Malik, N. The sample comprises eight male instructors from two Jordanian universities. They were selected using a purposive sampling method. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with the participants to gain their insights into the issues and significant challenges faced by the students and the potential strategies to overcome the challenges. 20 academic essays produced by 4th year undergraduate students from the two universities were observed for the purpose. \u0000 \u0000Findings: The instructors found that the EFL Jordanian students were unable to achieve coherent writing in the essays mainly due to their limited vocabulary knowledge. They attributed this lack to learners’ inadequate attempts to enhance their writing and limited reading experience. Generally, they agreed that insufficient awareness of the importance of incorporating effective educational practices to enhance their students’ writing as the major contributing factor to their students’ failure to observe coherence in writing. The findings encompassed some potential strategies to cope with the current obstacles, such as training the EFL instructors and employing modern techniques and practices in teaching. \u0000 \u0000Contributions: Teaching and learning of coherent writing is very necessary at all higher learning institutions. The findings of the study have implications on all the stakeholders as a means of enriching the instructional practices widely. \u0000 \u0000Keywords: EFL Jordanian students, EFL writing, writing challenges, writing strategies, coherent writing, coherence. \u0000 \u0000Cite as: Alsariera, A. The process of understanding the reasons for planning behaviour intention is not an easy path. Intentions are provoked by an individual’s attitude which effect on how individuals making per purchase decision (Blackwell, Miniard, & Engel, 2001; Viksne, Salkovska, Gaitniece, & Puke, 2016). Human beings are complex and this complexity helps in having contradictions in an individual’s attitude. \u0000 \u0000Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) was created based on the theory of social psychology, and congruity theory was used as a theoretical framework for creating the current conceptual model. \u0000 \u0000The main objective of the study is to examine the relationship between Spiritual intelligence (SQ), Spiritual Congruence (SC) and Accounting Literacy (AL) towards attitude and intention to purchase Halal product among the Generation Alpha. \u0000Methodology: To provide insight from this generation, the current study conducted a survey within the students of Faculty Economics and Muamalat, USIM for five programs offered. The survey reached 181 respondents, those who had experience in consuming halal products. The research instrument which consists of 31 scale items were utilized using a Likert scale and were then administered via questionnaire administered approach of using SPSS. \u0000 \u0000Findings: Based on the finding it indicates that only SQ and SC have positive and significant relationship towards attitude which is represented by 0.006 for SQ and 0.022 for SC. However, AL does not reflect significant relationship with attitude. \u0000 \u0000Contributions: The implication of the finding indicates that the education structure which embedded the Islamic elements could influence the attitude of the students towards Halal products. The willingness of teachers to implement new teaching methods is one of the most important determinants of educational success. Engagement, confidence, curiosity, and comprehension of integrated STEM disciplines will increase as a result of indirect STEM integration teaching experiences. Therefore, it is essential to conduct research on STEM teachers' digital literacy knowledge since it is believed that STEM education, which focuses primarily on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, involves complex science and engineering practices. \u0000 \u0000Methodology: 150 teachers in STEM subjects from Kuala Terengganu were randomly selected to participate in the study using a simple and stratified random selection method. The data was collected using a questionnaire with five sections: respondent information, comprehension of digital tools, communication and collaboration, creation of digital content, security, problem-solving, and technology integration. Correlation and linear regression were used to analyse the data. \u0000 \u0000Findings: Based on the findings, the level of digital literacy knowledge after COVID-19 was moderately high. In addition, there is a correlation between STEM teachers' digital literacy knowledge and their technology integration. It is estimated that STEM teachers’ knowledge of digital literacy influenced approximately 47% to technology integration. \u0000 \u0000Contributions: This study's findings may be beneficial for identifying the digital literacy challenges teachers in STEM fields confront post-Covid-19. Future research can therefore emphasize the identification and development of effective educational materials and programmes for STEM teachers, as well as the integration of technology into teaching and learning, in order to further develop the digital literacy of STEM teachers. \u0000 \u0000Keywords: STEM teacher, digital literacy, knowledge, technology integration, Covid-19. \u0000 \u0000Cite as: Ramli, F. These two popular cultures occasionally include LGBT elements in their storylines. This article examines Malaysian university students' views on LGBT elements in anime and manga. The specific objectives were to (1) identify anime and manga that incorporate LGBT elements, which are consumed by university students in Malaysia, and (2) investigate their views on the effects of consuming these materials. \u0000 \u0000Methodology: Online Google survey forms were distributed to students studying the Japanese language at five public universities in Malaysia. In these universities, Japanese is offered as an elective or part of a core course and is taken by students from various faculties. 280 students responded to the survey. However, only data from 150 respondents was analysed. There were 56 (37%) male and 94 (63%) female respondents. \u0000 \u0000Findings: 34 (22.7%) respondents mentioned anime and manga titles that have LGBT elements, with some titles fitting under the LGBT genre. According to 96 (64%) of respondents, consuming anime and manga with LGBT elements has negative consequences, including the normalisation of the LGBT concept, which may lead to individuals identifying themselves as part of the LGBT community, excessive sexual content, going against the norm, the extinction of humans, and becoming anime and manga addicts. In contrast, 37 (24.7%) respondents believe consuming such materials has a positive effect. This group argues that, despite the controversial LGBT elements, anime and manga promote positive ideals in their storylines while also raising awareness of LGBT communities. \u0000 \u0000Contributions: This study reveals that the consumption of anime and manga featuring LGBT elements has an impact on the acceptance of the LGBT concept among Malaysian youth, despite its contradiction with the religious and cultural values of local communities. \u0000 \u0000Keywords: Anime, manga, LGBT, Malaysia, Public university students. \u0000 \u0000Cite as: Paee, R., Abdul Rashid, R., Mamat, R., & Ahmand, N. The purpose of this systematic literature review is to identify the framework elements of Game-Based Arabic Language Learning (GBALL) for Dyslexic Children. Although previous research has addressed various guidelines and frameworks for educational tools in Arabic language learning, however, only few studies focus on dyslexic children. The methodology used in this paper is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by Kitchenham (2004) and Kitchenham and Charters (2007). A selection of relevant research was performed to achieve the research objectives. The selected online open sources databases involved as are primary resources: Google Scholar, ResearchGate, UM Student Repository, Open Access Theses and Dissertation (OATD). Scientific publications and journals, conference proceedings, and technical papers are found in well-known online databases that include a complete citation and reference analysis. Based on a systematic review process, the researchers reported and discussed findings with possible future research directions. A total of 18 studies were selected, which revealed two themes: the multimedia elements of game-based language learning for dyslexic children and the Arabic language learning elements for dyslexic children. The results of this study can be applied as a guideline for educational tools for dyslexic children in Arabic language learning. \u0000 \u0000Keywords: framework design, elements, guidelines, game-based Arabic language learning for dyslexic children, game-based learning, dyslexia language learning \u0000 \u0000Cite as: Noor Azli, M. Thus, the development and expansion of preschool programs need to be given further attention and improvement of the quality of services to the community. Teachers' emotional competence and self-efficacy are closely related to teacher commitment. Therefore, it is important for us to identify the relationship between preschool teachers’ emotional competence and teachers' commitment as well as to investigate the mediating effect of teachers’ self-efficacy to perform their role toward developing children's potential holistically. This study aims to examine the mediating effect of teachers’ self-efficacy between the relationship of emotional competence and self-efficacy of teachers with the commitment of preschool teachers in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. This study was based on the Emotional Competency Theory developed by Goleman (2001), the Self-Efficacy Model by Tschannen-Moran and Hoy (2001) as well as the Teacher Commitment Model by Thien et al. (2014). \u0000 \u0000Methodology: The methodology used was a survey study involving 428 preschool teachers in the state of Selangor who were selected through cluster sampling and convenient sampling to answer a set of questionnaire through Google Forms. The instrument was validated by six experts and a pilot study was conducted on 75 samples of preschool teachers in the Klang district. Data collected were analyzed quantitatively using IBM SPSS V23.0 & Smart-PLS 3.0. \u0000 \u0000Findings: The results of structural model analysis showed that the relationship between emotional competence, self-efficacy and commitment was positively significant and teacher self-efficacy served as a partially mediating effect in the relationship between emotional competence and teacher commitment. \u0000 \u0000Contributions: The previous studies of emotional competence, self-efficacy, and commitment were in the field of education in general and did not focus on preschool education. Based on the issues and long-term implications of the quality of preschool education, this study provided an improved new model to fill the research gap in the field of early childhood education to improve the quality of continuing education. \u0000 \u0000Keywords: Commitment, early childhood education, emotional competence, mediator, preschool teacher, self-efficacy. \u0000 \u0000Cite as: Phaik Im, K., Fong Peng, C., & Hutagalung, F. Therefore, this article is aimed to understand how futuristic curriculum design is perceived in South East Asia (SEA). The understanding of how futuristic curriculum design is perceived in the past is achieved through retrospective examination of published documents. After identifying past trends, anticipation from historical trends refer to a systematic projection of how the curriculum would be constructed for the future generation in the SEA region. \u0000 \u0000Methodology: This study presents an in-depth bibliometric analysis and visual scientific mapping of 2733 published documents in a reputable database. To examine how a futuristic curriculum is regarded throughout time, temporal, geographical, institutional, partnership and keyword mapping were quantitively analyzed. The succession of events in the past and the emerging keywords visible in the present were then qualitatively assessed in order to anticipate what is viewed as future curriculum in SEA. \u0000 \u0000Findings: According to the findings, the design of the futuristic curriculum has changed since the 1980s in terms of 1) centricity, 2) measured dimensions, 3) technological advances to support the 4) learning dynamics between internalization, regionalization and localization. Based on past and current trends, it is anticipated that curriculum design for the future will be 1) centered on an individual as a unit of a larger society, 2) focuses on measuring the tangible and intangible one’s performances using indicators by benefitting the technologically advanced 3) seamless and self-regulated learning. \u0000 \u0000Contributions: The findings and recommendations of this article serves as the baseline evidences in curriculum design in SEA education ecosystem to inform pedagogy and policy by exploring new areas of research and fostering the evidence-based knowledge in education. \u0000 \u0000Keywords: Future studies, Southeast Asia, foresight, bibliometric, anticipatory. \u0000 \u0000Cite as: Zainun, M., Farida, N., Saedah, S., Deva Nanthini, S., Shah Jahan, A., & Wan Nor Adzmin, M.
