However due to the ectoparasite there is loss of skin value, income and wool due to poor management problem. The purpose of this study was to identify major ectoparasites of sheep and to determine their prevalence in the study area and to assess the magnitudes of these parasites in relation to sex, age and body condition. Out of 200 sheep examined 133 (66.5%) sheep were infested with the major ectoparasite. The major ectoparasite identified were ticks 31%, followed by lice 15.5%, fleas 12.5%, Melophagus ovinus 7% and Mange mites 0.5%. The overall infestation with ectoparasites was higher in females (37.5%) than males (29%). The overall prevalence in association with age categories was higher in adult (34%) than in the young (32.5%). The prevalence of major ectoparasite based on the BCS was found to be higher in poor (33.5%) than the (21.5%) medium and the good (11.5%) from in the overall occurrence of ectoparasites. The higher prevalence of ticks, lice, fleas, M.ovinus, and mangemites were observed in female and males. The highest prevalence of tick infestation (n=62) were observed in the area, among ectoparasite ticks were the most prevalent parasites (n=62) with the prevalence of 31% in the area, while the prevalence of mangemites was 0.5 %( n=1). Based on age classification the prevalence of Ticks (17.5%), lice (9%), fleas (7.5%), Melophagus ovinus (or sheep ked) (4%), and mange mite (0.5%) were highly prevalent in the adults than young’s (13.5%), (6.5%), (5%) and (3%) respectively. From the result of this study it is possible to conclude that ectoparasite infestation has affected drawback in the production of sheep at the study area.","PeriodicalId":166372,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology Reports","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128592177","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The most common sites of lesions are areas frequently exposed to the sun, thus regions such as head, neck and upper limbs. The aim of this study is to report the clinical case of a female patient assisted in a Teaching Hospital in the State of São Paulo, with a lesion in the left gluteal region, unusual to what is found in the literature. Case Report: An 87-year-old female patient, who underwent excisional biopsy of a lesion on her left buttock, with an anatomopathological (AP) diagnosis of MCC, was also submitted to a control image, which showed a new lesion in the lymph node chain, and underwent a new surgical procedure, which was unsuccessful.","PeriodicalId":166372,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology Reports","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117288863","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The following case reports a 57-year-old patient, hospitalized because of his decompensated CLD-ethanolic etiology-who started with an acrocyanosis condition in the lower limbs, after positional change to orthostatism. With other causes excluded, his blood pressure (BP) variation and his heart rate (HR) were analyzed. The latter allowed a diagnosis of Orthostatic Hypotension (OH) and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), which can be frequently considered as manifestations of AD. There is a high percentage of CLD of ethanolic etiology patients that suffer from alterations in the autonomous nervous system caused by decreased function of baroreceptors to positional variations. This clinical case aims to exhibit an atypical presentation of two entities that characterize AD and may be present in these patients.","PeriodicalId":166372,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology Reports","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116835372","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The high incidence of the disease demonstrates the importance of knowing its clinical manifestations such as pain in the right hypochondrium, anorexia, nausea, vomiting and jaundice, in addition to its serious complications such as liver abscess and intrahepatic perforation. In the case described, we report a 72-year-old male patient who had asthenia about two months ago in association with anorexia and weight loss, with choledocholithiasis as a complication with gallbladder perforation and liver abscess. The study will present the pathogenesis of these complications and will correlate to the importance of a fast and effective care.","PeriodicalId":166372,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology Reports","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125381666","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
