Star motif is one of the most prominent shapes employed in these geometric decorations. These motifs, as they originated with spiritual essence in Persia around nineth century, were carried on as an influential factor in South Asian art, particularly Mughal art. The surface embellishments of the Mughal monuments are flooded with geometries having various types of star motifs. Interestingly, the contemporary trademark design in Pakistan reveals great influence from these geometric star motifs. Having a symbolic significance, these designs create a profound visual impact in communication. This research puts forth the symbolic meaning behind the star used in Islamic geometric decoration, and presents its influence on contemporary visual communication design in Pakistan. The designs studied for this research are the trademarks of banks, universities, government departments, and other private companies and brands. If a person follows the idea created in the mind, then he will be caught in the net of the self, while if he follows the decision of the heart, then common sense will be included in it. Therefore, researcher has particularly analysed the impact of inflation and interest rate on personal finances. Primary quantitative research method has been used using survey questionnaire, and information has been collected from 100 households using convenience sampling. For data analysis, statistical tools (. e. descriptive, reliability, and inferential statistics) were used via using SPSS software. It shows that both male and female from different age group has been participated in the current research. Hence, findings revealed that inflation rate has a negative influence on personal finance, while interest rate has a positive influence on personal finance. Findings in the current research have been primarily focused on primary quantitative research that can be used in secondary studies in future for in-depth analysis. The Mughals were endowed with remarkably taste for constructing magnificent structures. Gulābi Bāgh gateway is one of those monumental structures, built during Mughal Empire. On the facade of Gulābi Bāgh gateway, there are inscriptions in Persian language which have symbolical connotations. The structure is embellished with frescos painting. The internal worn-out walls are decorated with lotus flowers and cypress tree which also have symbolical representations. There is no doubt that Architectural structures are helpful to understand the chronological notions about the situation of city especially gateways which are erected for so many reasons. This paper is an effort to interpret the meanings from the symbolic inscriptions and embellishments carved on the walls of the magnificent piece of art and architecture i.e Gulabi Bagh. In contemporary period the Mughal architecture is one of those remaining structures which are considered as a heritage of Pakistan. Qureshi","doi":"10.53762/alqamar.06.03.e03","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.53762/alqamar.06.03.e03","url":null,"abstract":"Public accountability in any democratic state appears to be the hallmark of the rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution.[i] This process should equally encompass not only the individuals but also the State institutions because it would ensure the presence of the rule of law in the system wherein both shall be treated alike.[ii] The public accountability of the State institutions is necessary because the resources entrusted and the powers vested to these institutions for utilizing such resources being the sacred trust, must not remain unaccountable in the public interest.[iii] The misuse of public resources will not only blur the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations but will also jeopardize the valuable human rights of the citizens. The processes of accountability prevailing in the two most potent contending State institutions in Pakistan, i.e., the army and the judiciary, were examined to assess whether the forms of public accountability present in such cases are sufficient. This paper explored the significant forms of accountability present in the hierarchy of these two institutions. The army was found vertically and financially accountable, making it a disciplined institution. The case study of the judiciary demonstrates that the applicable forms of accountability fail. The judiciary protects citizens' rights and is directly linked with society. The law-and-order situation in the country is at stake due to the lack of real accountability in this institution. This position has frustrated society and infused a sense of fear, disappointment and insecurity that eventually threatened the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations. Classical Tafsir trends, Tafsir Bi al- ma’thur (tradition-based interpretation) and Tafsir Bi al-ra’y (reason-based interpretation) are well-documented in historical norms of Qur’ānic exegesis. However, modernity, with its complex socioeconomic, religious, political and cultural developments, presents unique challenges to interpreters (authors of Qur’ānic interpretations) to contextualize the Qur’ānic message and provide guidance to modern- day Muslims and their worldview. Complex modern Islamic thought is a selection of ideologies and philosophies that resulted from the prevailing diverse geopolitical, sociocultural and economic environment. These dynamic elements of modernity have conceptualized tafsir trends into the textualist, contextualize, modernist, socio-political, scientific, thematic and feminist approaches. These trends have not only transformed contemporary Islamic thought, and vice versa, but also continue to collectively evolve to meet the challenges of modernity. This article briefly reviews traditional and modern tafsir (interpretation) trends and how modern tafasir have shaped contemporary Islamic thought. These constitutional milestones have had far-reaching implications on the balance of power between the central government and the provinces. The article examines the complex interplay between Pakistan's diverse ethnic composition and its federal structure. Ethnic and regional disparities have often led to tensions and demands for greater autonomy, notably in regions like Balochistan. Additionally, the centralization of power, particularly the influential role of the military and centralized political parties, has further complicated the federal dynamics.
