The lack of a portable power source with has always been a problem for various needs be it household or aerospace or defence purposes. The existing technology often compromises in the safety of the device and is suitable only for lower power requirement electronics such as smartphones. This expandable power bank aims to be a higher capacity device to be able to power higher-end electronics such as laptops, television. The implementation of various safety features such as over current, over voltage protection makes it more robust and increases the longevity of the device the power bank can be charged either through either a PV source or a wall point. This paper investigates various types of available technologies for its architecture using software systems. Switched capacitor and regenerative boost converter is a high voltage gain converter consisting lossless passive components and less number of semiconductors, which results in obtaining high efficiency. Accordingly, the study has executed Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller, which is embedded with generalized Perturb and Observation (P & O) technique with SCRB converter. The present paper has implemented P & O based MPPT algorithm in MATLAB SIMULINK by connecting a SCRB converter with a solar panel. Additionally, a SCRB Converter connected with solar panel with MPPT and without MPPPT also compared. IoT is useful in many of the applications, including home automation, retail, industry control, agriculture, health monitoring, etc. In healthcare domain, some of the IoT-based applications include, monitoring old people for fall detection, monitoring temperature conditions inside refrigerator for storing medicines, vaccines, and monitoring of patient's condition in hospitals and home. Machine Learning applications in Healthcare also seems to be endless. Because of sudden growth in semiconductor and power electronics techniques, it is important to operate PV conversion systems near the maximum power point to increase the output efficiency of photovoltaic arrays. The proposed system contains a Modified SEPIC converter along with MPPT Charge controller which reduces losses of the converter and current ripple is minimized. The energy of output is increased due to reduced switching and converter losses. For extracting the features of the image patches the graph Fourier transform are used. A graph can represent data in different applications with a generic data structure. A graph different from classical transforms like DCT and DWT in the sense that it can represent signals on irregular and high dimensional domain. A graph can fit to local characteristics through edges for regular signals like images. Graph Fourier transform extracts the frequency interpretation for signals on graph. To reduce the processing time of feature matching patch match algorithm is used which is a fast approximate nearest neighbor search algorithm. But, power steering is a boon to all the drivers of all classes of vehicles. This paper presents a novel control strategy for an electric power assisted steering system that would help in reducing the undesirable vibration and the driver effort in both the parking and driving state of the vehicle. The performance of steering system depends on the assist torque map. The proposed methods use the assist torque map. Since, a high amount of steering assist gain and nonlinearity of the torque map can have a negative effect in Electric power assisted steering (EPAS) system causing instability; the approach uses a properly designed new law that can circumvent the issues of nonlinearity. Here the modeling of EPAS system has been carried out and model parameters are identified. Based on the available EPAS model, a PID - Sliding Mode controller is designed to control this system. A quasi-switched boost inverter is modified in order to derive the inverter structure. A maximum constant boost control technique is suggested for the four switch switched boost inverter. Therefore, it can work properly in non shoot-through as well as shoot-through modes and operate as a single stage boost inverter. Besides the voltage gain of the inverter can be improved and the maintenance of low voltage stress across the switching elements can also be obtained under a given modulation index. The internal combustion engine which was the heart of the automobile industry for almost more than a century is now getting obsolete. As the world around is more concern towards the environment and thinking various methods by which the pollution can be reduced, the future of the internal combustion engine which is a major source of polluting the environment paints a grim picture. The alternative the mankind is looking for the internal combustion engine is the electric motor vehicles that are drastically hiking across the universe on account of immense environmental issues and energy shortage. Charging of electric vehicle is a crucial part and might thus become a burden to the current energy sources. In order to avoid such shortage of energy a new comprehensive design of a battery charger is introduced for electric vehicles. The proposed system can be operated in two modes that are exchange of energy from Grid to Vehicle and exchange of energy from Vehicle to Grid according to the user requirement. In this paper we propose a battery charger for the Electric Vehicle (EV) which is controllable and bidirectional in manner. TMS320f28335 DSP processor is used as a control unit. The main functions of the processor are controlling the phase, amplitude and frequency of the signal that is given to the grid and generates PWM signals for IGBT. It also checks whether the battery is having a particular threshold value or not and provides authorization while operating in Vehicle to Grid mode. Agriculture is considered to be the main source of income for people residing in villages and farmers have direct impact on the economy of India. They face many challenges like lack of mechanisation, soil erosion and uneven climate changes. Drying of food products in varied climatic conditions is a major concern for farmers as dried products like spices have acceptance both inside and in export mode. Spice drying using conventional methods like open air sun drying and smoke drying could lead to insufficient product quality. Efficient and intelligent drying systems play a key role to increase the product quality and quantity. In this paper an efficient solar based drying system is proposed. Sensitivity analysis to different factors affecting efficiency of the dryer is also presented.
