They enable the evaluation of system behavior according to the design requirements and ensure their correctness before any implementation. In this paper, we propose a probabilistic and timed verification framework of State Machine diagrams extended with time and probability features. The approach consists on mapping the extended State Machine diagram to its equivalent probabilistic timed automata that is expressed in PRISM language. To check the functional correctness of the system under test, the properties are expressed in PCTL temporal logic. We demonstrate the approach efficiency by analyzing performability properties on a Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) case study.","PeriodicalId":165465,"journal":{"name":"2015 12th International Symposium on Programming and Systems (ISPS)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-09-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133840434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper we present the different steps of our approach, from the diagonals extraction and indexation step, to the gathering of the fragments and gaps insertion step, passing through the sorting of the consistent diagonals set for the final alignment. We present two implementations of our approach, the first one called DiaWay 1.0, and the second one called DiaWay 2.0. The results of tests and analysis performed on benchmarks taken from BAliBASE and smart databases show the effectiveness and efficiency of our approach, comparing to DIALIGN 2.2 algorithm in term of execution time.","PeriodicalId":165465,"journal":{"name":"2015 12th International Symposium on Programming and Systems (ISPS)","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121100134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) are an important source of the human genome variability and have thus been implicated in several human diseases, including cancer. Breast Cancer is the most common malignant tumour for women and has known a large spread during the past twenty years. To separate the tumorous samples from the normal ones, various techniques have been applied on SNP data. One of the major problems related to SNP data is the high number of features which makes the task of classification complex. In this paper, a new hybrid intelligent technique based on Association Rule Mining (ARM) and Neural Networks (NN) which uses an Evolutionary Algorithm (EA) is proposed to deal with the dimensionality problem for the diagnosis of breast cancer. ARM optimized by Grammatical Evolution (GE) is used to select the most informative features and reduce the dimensionality by extracting associations between SNPs, while NN is used for efficient classification. The proposed NN-GEARM approach has been applied on breast cancer SNP dataset obtained from the NCBI Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) website. The created model has reached an accuracy of up to 90%.","PeriodicalId":165465,"journal":{"name":"2015 12th International Symposium on Programming and Systems (ISPS)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127281146","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper we will present a novel application intended to identify the nation targeted by a specific web page. The aim is to be able to automatically distinguish websites targeting a specific nation, using both the URL and the content of a web page. In this paper we will address the issue of identifying Algerian-interest web pages using a machine learning approach. We will present the process of acquiring data for the supervised learning phase and adapting it into a usable dataset, as well as using it to construct three distinct classifiers using different parts of the data. In this paper, a full-reference scheme for image quality assessment is proposed, which supplies more flexibility than previous methods in using edge similarity measure and color distortion. First, test and reference images are transformed using Gradient Scharr operator 5 × 5 and 3 × 3 mask. Secondly, we compute color distortion using YIQ color space. Then, the difference between the two images is calculated, which can be used to compute the whole error. Experimental comparisons demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":165465,"journal":{"name":"2015 12th International Symposium on Programming and Systems (ISPS)","volume":"482 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132131371","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Crisis Management Systems (CMS) handling them require effective collaboration between their services, and need dynamic adaptation at runtime when an execution context change occurs. To manage disasters, several approaches are proposed in the literature where few of them have advocated context-awareness as a solution to reduce and avoid disasters' consequences. By using specific platforms, each approach have addressed a particular concern of the disaster, and did not cover all its life-cycle phases; this fact does decreases the large-scale use of their proposals. This paper presents a context-aware dynamic adaptation approach that deals with the impact of context changes onto running service-based applications of a CMS. This approach is specified on the Service Component Architecture (SCA) and implemented with the FraSCAti Platform. A CMS example is unrolled to demonstrate what context-aware adaptation can do for disaster management.","PeriodicalId":165465,"journal":{"name":"2015 12th International Symposium on Programming and Systems (ISPS)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132231393","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the selection of appropriate UML profile for system modeling is a complicated process. Furthermore, it is also critical to apply the appropriate model transformation technique to get the desired outputs. Therefore, keeping in view aforesaid challenges, this paper investigates the usage of UML and its SYSML/MARTE profiles for embedded system development through Systematic Literature Review (SLR). In addition, various model transformation techniques have also been analyzed and presented. It facilitates the researchers and practitioners of the domain to discover the latest MBSE trends for embedded systems development.","PeriodicalId":165465,"journal":{"name":"2015 12th International Symposium on Programming and Systems (ISPS)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127872466","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main advantages of this neural network are the linkage between data topology preservation and classes representation by using the cluster posterior probabilities of classes. It is a constructive model without prior conditions such as a suitable number of neurons. A new neuron is inserted when new data are not represented by existing neurons. For the Self-Training strategy, we chose the Support Vector Machines (SVM) as classifier because the SVMs are a powerful machine learning technique based on the principle of structural risk minimization. The proposed approach has been tested on synthetic and real datasets. Obtained results are very promising.","PeriodicalId":165465,"journal":{"name":"2015 12th International Symposium on Programming and Systems (ISPS)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125478866","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results returned to the user contain only tuples that satisfy the conditions of the query. Thereby, the user can be confronted to the problem of empty answers in the case of too selective query. To overcome this problem, several approaches have been proposed in the literature in particularly those based on query conditions relaxation. Others works suggest the use of fuzzy sets theory to introduce a flexible queries. Another line of research proposes the adaptation of information retrieval (IR) approaches to get an approximate matching in databases. We discuss in this paper, an adaptation of language model of IR to deal with empty answers. The main idea behind our approach is that instead of returning an empty response to the user, a ranked list of tuples that have the most similar values to those specified in user's query is returned.","PeriodicalId":165465,"journal":{"name":"2015 12th International Symposium on Programming and Systems (ISPS)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125156083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
