Questions have been raised about how to compare its performance with the old architecture such as IP network which is generally based on Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4). Differs with the old one, source and destination addresses in the delivery of data are not required on the NDN network because the addresses function is replaced by a data name (Name) which serves to identify the data uniquely. In a computer network, a network routing is an essential factor to support data communication. The network routing on IP network relies only on Routing Information Base (RIB) derived from the IP table on the router. So that, if there is a problem on the network such as there is one node exposed to a dangerous attack, the IP router should wait until the IP table is updated, and then the routing channel is changed. The issue of how to change the routing path without updating IP table has received considerable critical attention. The NDN network has an advantage such as its capability to execute an adaptive forwarding mechanism, which FIB (Forwarding Information Base) of the NDN router keeps information for routing and forwarding planes. Therefore, if there is a problem on the network, the NDN router can detect the problem more quickly than the IP router. The contribution of this study is important to explain the benefit of the forwarding mechanism of the NDN network compared to the IP network forwarding mechanism when there is a node which is suffered a hijack attack.","PeriodicalId":165045,"journal":{"name":"2017 3rd International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122275933","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In fact, mismatching can be caused by phonetic error, mistyping error, or unknown error. An improvement has been made by Editex which modifies that algorithm. However, it tolerates only the phonetic error. In this paper, we increase its performance by proposing new weighting and distance calculation of that algorithm. Here, the source of mismatching is grouped into phonetic and typographic errors. Characters are divided into groups of phoneticity and typography, which have their own weight. By using this letter grouping, our proposed method is also suitable for implementation in homomorphic encrypted data. Experimental results show that this method produces lower false positive rates than the Edit Distance and Editex algorithms. The proposed method generates 2.2 false positives per experiment, while Edit Distance and Editex produce 8.24 and 3.12, respectively. It can be inferred that this proposed method is able to produce a relatively low error rate.","PeriodicalId":165045,"journal":{"name":"2017 3rd International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127880713","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a problem that often appears on the project of making a software. A poor estimate will result in a worse project management. Several software cost estimation models have been introduced to resolve this problem. Constructive Cost Model II (COCOMO II Model) is a most considerable and broadly used model in cost estimation. To estimate the cost of a software project, COCOMO II model uses cost drivers, scale factors and line of code. However, the model is still lacking in terms of accuracy. In this study, we investigate the influence of components and attributes to achieve new better accuracy improvement on COCOMO II model. We introduced the use of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm in optimizing the COCOMO II model parameters. The proposed method is applied on Turkish Software Industry dataset. The method achieves well result and deals proficient with inexplicit data input and further improve a reliability of the estimation method. The optimized MMRE result is 34.1939%. It can reduce 698.9461% and 104.876% errors from the basic COCOMO II model and Tabu Search coefficient significantly.","PeriodicalId":165045,"journal":{"name":"2017 3rd International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121338017","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it must be admitted that the quality of service and quality of experience have different parameters. Using a quantitative descriptive analysis of active testing a number of data packets were sent to the communication line to measure the six Quality of Service parameters using the LIRNEasia Benchmarking approach, the results explained that the average achievement was at about 20–50% of 1 Mbps from the Indonesia Broadband Plan, while the latency, jitter, packet loss, and network availability parameters provided by ISPs are generally within the un-conform range of the benchmarks. We conclude that empirical data are found in which customers want improved service quality compared to the current perceived quality.","PeriodicalId":165045,"journal":{"name":"2017 3rd International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126716873","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several techniques are developed in order to get the minimum number of distribution cost and also reduce total loss along the distribution system. Minimizing total cable spanning distance is the best way to achieve those objectives. Minimum spanning tree is appropriate to find the best configuration because of its ability to connect all nodes with minimum cost. The problem is, in this case study, the configuration must be deal with sub-system constrain. To deal with that, this study attempts to build the electricity configuration using KM-MST (K Means-Minimum Spanning Tree). By using KM-MST, the best number of cluster that can be built is 5 clusters with error 0.0958. This could have serious effects on developing countries such as Malaysia. New teaching and learning methods need to be developed in order to address this issue. The aim of this work is to utilize mobile robots to instill interest among school children toward STEM. Seven mobile robots along with a set of curriculums are designed. The low-cost robot consists of off-the-shelf components for easy maintenance, especially in resource starved localities. The robot consists of 3D printed frame, two DC motor actuated wheels and a microcontroller. Sockets are placed on top of the robot for users to include additional components. Users can program basic as well as advance robot behavior algorithm. A robotic curriculum that includes basic electronics and various programming exercises is designed. A robotic workshop is conducted with a group of 23 secondary school students. A survey is conducted to measure the participants' perception and interest toward STEM. Generally, the participants' interest in engineering discipline increases after the workshop. Female participants recorded 15.63% increase while male participants recorded 1.62% increase only. This limited study shows that it is feasible to introduce engineering topics at earlier age in order to nurture interest in STEM. More work need to be done to expand this study across diverse groups of participants.","PeriodicalId":165045,"journal":{"name":"2017 3rd International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114944912","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Inaccurate forecasting will lead to wastage of operating costs. Data mining has been widely used to solve the problem of forecasting. In this study, we propose a method using data mining technique for doing electrical load forecasting, which is a combination of wavelet transform and group method of data handling (WGMDH). The proposed algorithm is used to predict the short-term power load which aims to improve the accuracy of forecasting. The results show that by using proposed algorithm better accuracy is achieved compared with the coefficient method which is used by Indonesian Power Company in Sumatera to forecast the electrical load. The method can improve the forecasting of electricity on average above 50% per year, both for the type of similar day and daily electricity load characteristic pattern.","PeriodicalId":165045,"journal":{"name":"2017 3rd International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech)","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115248250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
