The results show that: 1) the capital allocation efficiency among state-owned enterprises is lower than private enterprise due to an insufficiently released productivity of state-owned enterprises; 2) although with a higher capital allocation efficiency, the improvement of technology progress of private enterprises at a much slower pace compared to its rapidly increasing share in China’s economy. In case of poor allocation with private sector, blindly reforming ownership of state-owned enterprises cannot effectively alleviate the problem of efficiency losses. State-owned enterprise reform can boost economic growth by increasing capital marginal output, improving capital dynamic allocation efficiency, promoting TFP growth and exerting external spillovers on other firms. At present, China is exploring the endogenous power of economic growth, improving the market institutions and promoting the state-owned enterprises reform with positive and steady pace. By properly re-allocation SOEs into the private sector, which has significant influence on improving economic efficiency and promoting sustained economic growth.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131025837","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Predictions to obtain maximum profits are also a major consideration. Specifically, the purpose of this study is to predict the effects of frequency of trading, the volume of trade, and value trading when making capital investment decisions, not only in large part but also simultaneously. Secondary data was obtained using data that was already available on the IDX, especially issuers indexed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), which were then obtained in accordance with the problem formulation. The data was approved until January 2017 to December 2018. The results of the analysis convinced the author, the fact of trade affects investment decisions, trading volume is also able to influence investment decisions, and the value of trade also greatly influences investment returns. Cumulative trading frequency, trading volume, and value trading also influence capital investment decision making at JII.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134641452","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Intermediation approach has been used to choose input and output variables of banks. A balanced panel data of 22 commercial banks of Pakistan over the period 1995-2014 have been used for the empirical analysis. The paper found that commercial banks are on average 73% profit efficient. However foreign banks report high profit efficiency score followed private domestic banks and then state owned banks. We also compared the cost and profit efficiency of commercial banks and found that commercial banks are more cost efficient than profit efficient.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131680768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Along with the industrial development, air pollution had extended effects to the surrounding areas. Plenty of evidence had shown that some functional foods were developed to strengthen the lung health. Based on the health belief model (HBM), this research explored the effects of each contributor on purchasing functional foods. There are 90 valid responses gather from the highly air polluted area, Hsio-Kang district of Kaohsiung. Statistical results indicated that the HBM significantly explained the functional food purchasing behavior for the designated area (R2=22.6). The perceived susceptibility is the strongest predictor (β= 0.42) for the behavior, followed by perceived benefits (β= 0.19), and perceived barriers (β= -0.10). Some implications and suggestions based on the discussion and conclusion were offered for reference.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114421674","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
