However, factors that moderate this relationship have scarcely been research upon in the hotel services sector. This study therefore examined the moderating effects of five salient demographic variables (sex, age, education, occupation, income) on the relationship between customer satisfaction and loyalty. The study employed descriptive research design with cross-sectional survey using a structured questionnaire to collect the data. The data were analysed using percentages and General Linear Model (GLM). The results show that age, education, and occupation significantly moderate the relationship between customer satisfaction and loyalty while sex and income do not at the 0.05 significant level. Based on the findings of this, it is therefore recommended that hotel managers should consider the significant effect of age, educational qualification, and occupation in determining the extent of the relationship between customer satisfaction and loyalty when formulating and implementing marketing strategies.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128645444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence the study constructed two personality traits that affect these intentions. The need for achievement and self-efficacy are significant variables to be analyzed in entrepreneurship while discussing the generating of new entrepreneurial businesses. A quantitative analysis was performed using Smart PLS on the collected data from 123 questionnaire responses provided by small and medium-size new entrepreneur startups. The findings reveal that the need for achievement and self-efficacy significantly affects the intentions of entrepreneurs (direct effects). Moreover, the study also explained that the need for achievement has a positive and significant impact on entrepreneurial intentions when mediated by self-efficacy behavior (indirect effect). The study provides theoretical concepts of the selected variables along with significant practical implications for entrepreneurial businesses.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114136940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While a huge variety of clarifications to this issue exists in current writing analyzing the export behavior of SMEs organizations, these clarifications anyway are uncertain and confined in geographic extension along these lines created nations setting. Methodologically, the study utilizes both quantitative and qualitative techniques in addressing the phenomenon. The quantitative method involves the logit probability regression analysis while the qualitative analysis is based on a systematic content review of data amidst descriptive statistics. Overall, firm size, sub sector, workforce education levels, government inclusion, financial availability and participation in international and domestic business networks are found to be the key drivers explaining why some manufacturing SMEs from Ghana choose to export, while majority of others remained focused on the domestic market. In light of the discoveries it is presumed that SME proprietor administrators in Ghana trying to fare ought to put resources into the improvement of both local and global systems as a methods for improving their entrance to worldwide markets. From a policy point of view, an intriguing suggestion for the legislature of Ghana to give further help in a bid to encourage the actions of industrial associations in Ghana is profoundly underscored.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115773126","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To estimate the relationship between capital structure and performance variables we selected three profitability ratios i.e. net profit margin, return on assets and return on equity, whereas for capital structure an important leverage ratio, D:E is selected as independent variable. Credit to GDP ratio and lending interest rate are also included in model as independent control variables. The results concluded that interest rate has insignificant effect on performance of firms. However, leverage ratio and credit to GDP ratio has relatively significant relationship with all performance variables. The outcomes through this study are consistent with the findings of earlier researches. Forthcoming work can be done to probe different industries using other new financial performance variables.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127913959","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance (MCCG) was first introduced in year 2000, revised in 2007, 2012 and culminating in the new supercharged 2017 version. CG has form part of the Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (Bursa Securities) that must be complied with by a listed issuer and its directors. The aim of this survey-based research administered 250 questionnaires to the middle and top-level managers of Malaysian firms to examine the influence corporate governance practiced in the country. Many researches on corporate governance in Malaysia are based secondary data and hence the questionnaires are designed to critically examine the corporate governance (board structure, CEO duality, audit/risk management committee and corporate reporting) on financial performance of Malaysian organisations in terms of sales, profitability, return on equity and share price. Further research on mediating effect of gender diversity may help to provide a basis for paradigm shift and result in better representation of gender at the level of decision making and in influencing corporate governance on the performance of the companies. The research found that the corporate governance variables overall have no significant impact to explain the performance of the listed companies. It suggests future researchers to explore into other factors that could possibly affect the company performance.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130068568","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Simultaneously, international events of crisis exert chaos among investors and affect progress of the stock market. It is observed that a mature stock market can resist external crisis effectively. On March 23 2018, a trade war broke out between China and the United States. As a representative of emerging economies, how will the network structure of China?s stock market change when China and the United States fueled a trade war? We use Pearson?s coefficient to construct the correlation between stocks, and set up a network for the Chinese stock market in three periods (before trade war, during trade war, and the overall period) through the threshold network for analysis. We find that recent trade war between China and US changes the topological structure of China?s stock market network, making it denser and more likely heading towards a crisis. At the same time, we find that after 30 years of development, China?s stock market has become more mature and its ability to resist external risks has improved. This study will be of a great significance for the government to regulate the stock market and for others to study the stock market of an emerging economy.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122134899","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
