Alternatively, the research focuses on how customer’s attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control can play their role in the use and promotion of green banking. To analyze the data, this research paper follows the positivism philosophy therefore a quantitative approach is used to examine the problem by circulating a questionnaire among 263 people who are selected by using purposive sampling technique as the target audience was those people who have Bank account in Pakistan. The findings of this study support the previous results of the theory of planned behavior. Consumer attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control have a high effect on consumer intention to use green banking which shows that bank consumers in Pakistan are willing to use technology-driven banking practices if they are available. The result also supports past studies on attitude towards the adoption of internet and mobile banking in Pakistan. Our research can be helpful in developing an effective marketing strategy for the adoption of green banking. This study will help the government and marketers to create awareness regarding the benefits of using technology-driven eco-friendly banking practices so that consumers can learn about internet banking and start using it.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"130 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128487577","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research is quasi-experimental and is quantitative and descriptive. The sample size reached 500 active Facebook users from the Jordanian youth, and the snowball sample technique was employed. A questionnaire is the only tool used to collect the primary data and contains closed-ended questions. The Likert five-point scale measures the responses through the partial least squares (PLS) method. It was concluded that there is a positive statistical impact of social media-based entertainment on the buying decisions from e-fashion stores on the Facebook platform, and social media entertainment explains 28% of the variations in the buying decisions from e-fashion stores via Facebook. Social media is an effective and safe solution to cutting high unemployment rates in the Jordanian economy. The e-buying experience depends on entertainment, enjoyment, relaxation, and leisure. It is a radical solution for creating new jobs in the economy and decreasing the poverty rates among poor and unemployed people.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125265705","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper uses SPSS and STATA statistical software to conduct an empirical study using a data sample of 4126 listed AI (artificial intelligence) companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2011 to 2020. The results reveal that female directors can significantly promote managerial perks in the case of CEO duality and achieve effective correction of managerial perks when the CEO does not also serve as chairman. CEO duality is a key boundary condition for female directors to effectively monitor managerial perks. The study explores whether female directors can be effective in curbing managerial perks, given that the role played by female directors is related to environmental conditions. We expect that CEO duality, a key situational variable representing the level of CEO power, could significantly change female directors' attitudes toward management perks.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"96 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123102283","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, some problems, such as unlicensed operation and poor service, have been exposed. Therefore, it is very important to identify the factors that affect customer trust and satisfaction. However, there are very few studies on consumer satisfaction of takeout platforms in the existing literature. This paper builds a model according to the development of the O2O takeout industry and verifies it by questionnaires and web crawler data. Finally, SPSS data analysis software is used to analyze the variables. The results show that internal mechanisms and social environments affect the trust of users regarding O2O platforms. Also, with the improvement of users' trust, their perceived level of risk will decline, and their satisfaction will increase. Finally, suggestions of optimizing the platform mechanisms and improving service quality and attitude are advised.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129715153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data are collected from different banks listed under DSE for the period starting from 2015 to 2020. For analyzing the data and testing hypothesis Pearson’s correlation and OLS regression models are used to assess the relationship among the performance of the banks and CG related predictor variables like Board Size (BS), Board Independence (BI), Audit Committee (AC), Risk Management Committee (RMC), and some control variables like Firm Age (FA), Firm Size (FS) and Market Capitalization (MC). The regression analysis results showed a mixed result. The BS and BI are significantly affirmatively related with ROE and positively correlated with ROA. The BS is affirmatively related with Tobin’s Q, but BI is significantly negatively related. No significant positive connection is found between the AC, RMC and ROE, ROA. The RMC is significant affirmatively related with Tobin’s Q, but no significant association between the AC and Tobin’s Q. The theoretical part of this paper has focused about a brief discussion about different variables related with Corporate Governance. The empirical part is based on a survey made on twenty commercial banks listed with DSE.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114267428","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The wZscore measure corresponds to the Altman Zscore, which increases as default risk decreases. To test the study’s hypotheses, a linear regression model is applied to a 6-year panel dataset of 180 listed firms categorized in 10 economic sectors operating in 22 countries from the years 2013 to 2018. The results show that executive remuneration has a significant negative impact on firm stability as measured by wZscore. Additionally, firm leverage has a significant positive impact on firm stability. Beyond the theoretical implications, the findings of this study have some practical implications that are particularly relevant to boards of directors, shareholders, managers, and policymakers. The findings suggest that executives should be offered a proper remuneration package to maintain their firms’ stability along with the capacity of firms’ equity and assets to cope up with unprecedented circumstances and the firms’ long-term debts. Finally, this study offers specific recommendations for how firms can balance their pay and performance in terms of executive remuneration and ensure better leverage to optimize their own and society's sustainable development.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131491593","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this paper is to identify the challenges of the remote work environment in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and to determine the level of these challenges according to the worker’s gender and job. This study was conducted on 11 Jordanian IT companies at the end of 2020. The intentional sample was used,125 valid questionnaires were used in the analysis. The results show that the respondents' perceptions of the challenges of the remote work environment in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic were high. There are also statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) for the level of challenges in the remote working environment according to gender (male/female) in favor of females and according to job level (supervisory or non-supervisory) in favor of non-supervisory jobs. To increase organisational performance, all parties—employees, families, and management—must cooperate to overcome the challenges of the remote work environment.","PeriodicalId":163871,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Business Strategy","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123042353","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
