Pasien DM memiliki resiko yang lebih tinggi untuk mengalami berbagai komplikasi penyakit yang dapat terjadi pada seluruh sistem tubuh misalnya pada jantung, pembuluh darah, saraf, ginjal, dan ulkus kaki. Penanganan DM dapat di lakukan dengan lima pilar, yaitu edukasi, perencanaan makan, latihan jasmani, intervensi farmakologis dan pemeriksaan gula darah. Konsep diet 3J merupakan suatu terapi pemberian diet dengan memperhatikan jadwal makan, jumlah makanan dan jenis makanan yang akan dikonsumsi bagi penderita DM. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan pasien DM tentang tatalaksana DM dengan aturan 3J. Hasil evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai dengan target sasaran. Dibutuhkan lingkungan yang kaya untuk mendukung kemampuan berbahasa anak. Bagi seorang anak, berbicara merupakan suatu kunci keberhasilan dan menjadi faktor terpenting dalam berinteraksi sosial Kartu kata bergambar adalah kartu yang berukuran tertentu seperti berbentuk persegi atau persegi panjang, kartu kata bergambar dapat dipergunakan untuk mengenalkan berbagai macam gambar, huruf abjad, dan kosakata kepada anak. Sosialisasi ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru-guru dalam menggali keterampilan dalam membuat media kartu kata, Kartu huruf bertujuan untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan kemampuan membaca bagi siswa usia awal sekolah. Pada kegiatan ceramah dan diskusi materi PkM dibagi menjadi 2 topik yaitu pendampingan guru dan membangun meningkatkan strategi pembelajaran pada kurikulum merdeka belajar. Sektor pendidikan mengalami dampaknya. Salah satu solusi bagi tenaga kependidikan dalam mempromosikan sekolahnya dan paraktek di laboratoratorium atau perpustakaan adalah dengan menggunakan teknologi Virtual Reality sebagai media alternatifnya. Dengan memanfaatkan media Virtual Reality ini, tentu akan membuat pembelajaran dan pelayanan akademik lebih menarik, inovatif, dan memberikan imajinasi lebih baik bagi siswa dalam belajar baik pada waktu jam belajar atau diluar jam belajar. Tentu saja kombinasi-kombinasi kegiatan lanjut dengan pemanfaatan media ini perlu disiapkan oleh karyawan atau tenaga kependidikan. \u0000Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk; (1) memberikan pengenalan kepada tenaga kependidikan di SMPN 3 Mranggen mengenai media Virtual Reality sebagai alternative media pembelajaran, media promosi sekolah, media perpustakaan, dan (2) melatih tenaga kependidikan SMPN 3 Mranggen untuk mampu memanfaatkan media terbarukan di laboratorium, Tata Usaha maupun perpustakaan. Metode yang diterapkan dalam program pengabdian ini, yaitu metode presentasi, metode demonstrasi, dan metode praktik. Sihombing, Maria Widiastuti","doi":"10.59246/alkhidmah.v1i1.79","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.59246/alkhidmah.v1i1.79","url":null,"abstract":"Abstract: Based on the results of observations at the Siborong-borong State SLB, the team found that mentally retarded students could imitate the writing made by their teacher, but these students did not know what they were writing, let alone read, they did not know the letters. So, the team tried to introduce letters to students by applying the alphabetical poster method, with the hope that mentally retarded students would be able to recognize letters. The purpose of using alphabetical poster media in the teaching and learning process is to improve the letter recognition skills of mentally retarded students at Siborong-borong State SLB. This research was conducted by making observations first then the observation data were collected to plan the implementation of learning, then carry out the teaching and learning process by applying the alphabetical poster method. The subject of this learning process is students with special needs for mental retardation at Siborong-borong State SLB. This teaching and learning process is carried out every Monday from October to November. The learning process activity by applying the alphabetical poster method at the Siborong-borong State SLB is carried out to provide motivation for letter recognition to students. Based on the learning process activities by applying the alphabetic poster method carried out by the team in the mentally retarded class at Siborong-borong State SLB, it turn out that this method is indeed able to improve letter recognition skills among mentally retarded students by attracting students' attention with alphabetic posters, then the teacher introduces it with terms (for example: the letter B = a stick plus two stomachs), so that students are able to recognize the letters gradually. During October-November the team carried out learning practices using this method, it can be seen that the ability of mentally retarded students is able to recognize all the letters well, but because they are \"with special needs who have weak memory and reception of information\", they must be trained always so they do not forget.
