Both articles are from Zhexue Yanjiu [Philosophical Research], 1979, No. 3.) In 1958 he graduated from the Journalism Department at Beida and in 1961 received a graduate degree in philosophy from People's University. Later he became an associate dean and associate professor in the Department of Politics and Philosophy. Afterwards, he worked in the Propaganda Department of the Jiangsu provincial Party committee. He's currently a member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Party Committee, and president and professor at the Jiangsu Provincial Party School.
