Furthermore, it has been validated for mobile WiMax, a very exigent communication standard in terms of envelope magnitude range and channel bandwidth. This paper briefly describes polar sigma delta architecture and proposes some improvements to it, particularly the digital mixing instead of analog mixing. Simulations of the enhanced architecture have been carried out using agilent advanced design system. Results are analyzed and new architecture advantages and drawbacks are pointed out.","PeriodicalId":162482,"journal":{"name":"2008 18th International Conference Radioelektronika","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129992103","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such digital maps usually produce several periodic sequences. The sequences can be concatenated to the long one. After that the new map can be easy assigned to the long sequence. Such map is generally characterized by local deviations from original shape of the map. In this paper, optimized concatenation with the suppressed deviations is proposed and shown. An integer-number sequence can be transformed to the binary sequence. The proposed concatenated maps were applied onto generating binary spreading sequences for the asynchronous DS/CDMA system. Good correlation properties of these sequences were verified.","PeriodicalId":162482,"journal":{"name":"2008 18th International Conference Radioelektronika","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132517515","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

ARCN filters analyzed here are used for additional damping of the first unwanted harmonics (1., 2. and 4. ) at the phase detector output voltage. Every additional passive filter inside the PLL very often causes instability due to its too big additional phase shift. On the base numerical simulations results it is possible to design good ARCN filters with small phase shift within active PLL bandwidth. Also the noise analysis and noise optimization of such filters was carried out.","PeriodicalId":162482,"journal":{"name":"2008 18th International Conference Radioelektronika","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122620661","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two DSP based algorithms for the frequency demodulation of lQ baseband signals will be presented and compared in this paper. One of them is the synthetic heterodyne approach, based on the digital derivation of the arctan of the angle described by the I and Q component. It will be shown, that this algorithm is very sensitive to noise in the baseband signals. The other, more modern algorithm uses a Kalman filter as an \"optimal\" estimator of the instantaneous phase and frequency of the two signals. It will be shown that the Kalman filter shows a drastically improved noise performance.","PeriodicalId":162482,"journal":{"name":"2008 18th International Conference Radioelektronika","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129254639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can be shown, that for WSN based on UWB radar systems, localization methods using round trip propagation times can be used with advantages [1]. In this paper we introduce three localization methods of that kind, i.e., a direct calculation, a conventional and weighted least-squares methods and a Taylor series method. It is expected, that these methods can be applied especially for UWB WSN. The properties of the proposed methods will be illustrated by using computer simulations. It will be shown, that Taylor series method can provide the best estimate of object location.","PeriodicalId":162482,"journal":{"name":"2008 18th International Conference Radioelektronika","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115604665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
