From the data of the World Health Organization are a large number of diseases that appear, are affected or exacerbated by the impact of environmental air pollution and thus affects the quality of life of people in general. Environmental pollution usually includes air, land and water pollution. Sources of pollution are usually household appliances with the use of combustible materials, vehicles which, with the materials they use for combustion, greatly pollute the environment, indiscriminate use of pesticides and chemicals in agriculture as well as waste incineration and mismanagement. The use of natural resources outside the normal criteria has had alarming effects on the environment. Environmental pollution with special emphasis on air pollution treated in this paper certainly has a significant impact on the economies of countries facing this phenomenon. Environmental policies and instruments usually tend to reduce pollution levels to reduce costs from countries' budgets as well as the impact of pollution that has gross domestic product. During pollution, of course, there are restrictions on the lives of citizens with chronic diseases, thus being absent from work and affecting the functionality of certain institutions but also various private companies. The treatment in this paper of environmental pollutants, the impact on public health and the impact on the general economy will be more detailed.","PeriodicalId":162003,"journal":{"name":"International Scientific Journal Monte","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115708683","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
{"title":"TOURISM INDUSTRY OF THE WESTERN BALKAN COUNTRIES BETWEEN EXISTING RESOURCES AND REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN UNION","authors":"","doi":"10.33807/monte.202004673","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33807/monte.202004673","url":null,"abstract":"The aim of the current research is to scientifically consider the existing potentials of the tourism industry of the Western Balkan countries in their efforts to eliminate the manifested anomalies and join the European Union. The achieved results, recommendations and profiled conclusions will benefit the relevant state actors in the concept of tourism promotion and European integration. It is necessary to determine the legal regulations of the European Union in the field of tourism based on the Resolution of the United Nations General Assembly 39/248, the Law on Consumer Protection, the Law on Environmental Protection and other legal documents. The Western Balkans subregion consists of countries that are in one of the established phases of the European integration process, for which tourism is a significant economic branch. The starting hypothesis is that the tourism industry of the Western Balkans with existing resources and the implementation of European Union regulations represents an objective chance for overall social development, ie integration into the community of developed countries. By applying the methodological procedures of analysis of available materials, synthesis, description and comparison, we will consider the essential postulates of our topic. The focus of the study is the EU legal regulations relating to the tourism of the observed countries and the specifics of the resources of this industry, important for their economic and overall social development. For all these countries, tourism, modified according to modern trends, potentially means a first-class economic branch and a great chance for the prosperity of communities. The institutions of the European Union have conceived specific legal legislation in this area, as special regulations that are binding on members and countries in certain stages of accession. The initial document adopted by the EU is the Council Directive 90/314 of 1990 on package arrangements. It consists of ten members who fully protect the consumer regardless of the position in the contract. Then, Regulation EC 261/2004 related to air transport issues. It provides for the rights of passengers in air traffic with specific conditions and amounts of compensation that airlines pay to damaged passengers. The well-known standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 22000 HACCP specific to the field of tourism are also applied. Our article treats the peculiarities of the tourist resources of the Western Balkan countries as a whole, by considering the positive and negative aspects. The advantages of the physical geographical and traffic position of Montenegro, Serbia, Macedonia, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the diversity of natural resources, healthy living environment, cultural treasures, ethnographic elements, conditions for foreign investment and international cooperation are taken into account. Aggravating factors are reflected in political contradictions, unfavorable infrastructure, economic crisis, lack of p","PeriodicalId":162003,"journal":{"name":"International Scientific Journal Monte","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129760238","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The teaching standards provide criteria for making judgments about progress toward the vision; they describe what teachers of science at all grade levels should understand and be able to do. There is much (potentially) to be excited about here. Few would argue against having greater access to more learning opportunities, especially when those opportunities are offered for “free”, where there is latent unmet demand, and where the opportunities themselves are well constructed and offer real value for learners. To highlight the importance of teachers in science education, these standards are presented first. However, to attain the vision of science education described in the Standards, change is needed in the entire system. Teachers are central to education, but they must not be placed in the position of being solely responsible for reform. Teachers will need to work within a collegial, organizational, and policy context that is supportive of good science teaching. In addition, students must accept and share responsibility for their own learning. to help them through their difficulties become the object of respect themselves and trigger a drive among students to learn and make their teachers proud.","PeriodicalId":162003,"journal":{"name":"International Scientific Journal Monte","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123201499","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
