Caching strategy has a decisive influence on the performance of the CCN. In this paper, an Autonomous System Collaboration Caching Strategy (ASCCS) is proposed to achieve the explicit collaboration, reduce the cache redundancy, improve the cache utilization rate and increase the cache hit rate. Firstly, the network is divided into several Autonomous Systems (AS) before carrying out the centralized control. Then we select the control nodes according to the betweenness and the cache replacement rate of the nodes. Each AS is centralized controlled by the control node. At the same time, the selected control node computes the popularity statistics of different contents to determine the suitable cache policy for them. Under this strategy, nodes in the same AS cooperate with each other, which improves the transparency of the network cache, and thereby achieve the cache performance gain of the CCN. It makes the optimal performance of the cache become possible.","PeriodicalId":161972,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131299992","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A study of an antenna selection scheme for space-time turbo code is presented in this paper. In the proposed method, the systematic hits and the punctured parity bits are sent from the selected antennas while transmission from the antenna experiencing the poorest channel conditions is effectively suspended. Simulation results show that the proposed method can reduce average transmission power by 3.8 dB compared to the conventional antenna selection method with 2 antennas.","PeriodicalId":161972,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114435123","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All practical implementations, however, have much fewer correlators. On a channel that fades very quickly, these few correlators collect the signal from the paths that are strongest on average. In this situation the classical analysis of the ideal rake receiver found in the textbooks can be applied to receivers with fewer correlators than propagation paths. Often, however, the fast fading is slow enough for the receiver to collect the signal of the paths with the largest momentary power. This leads to a combination of selection and maximum ratio combining. The error performance of such receivers is analysed under the assumption of a simplified channel model. The presence of the rapid adaptation causes a significant improvement in error performance when many propagation paths are present. The increased effective diversity also improves the coding gain, in particular, when interleaving does not lead to independently fading code chips.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":161972,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114854842","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The actual situation represents a delay of some 9-12 months. Nevertheless, there is no doubt about the progress in both the technological complexity of the GSM concept and the political impact of European wide cooperation. The purpose of the present paper is twofold. First it provides some insight into the communication mechanism occurring within the signaling layer of the pan European digital mobile network specified by the GSM standard body. The second aspect of the paper focuses on the usefulness of employing standardized description languages such as SDL (specification description language) for the protocol design as well as protocol implementation used in a mobile station.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":161972,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116057534","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the complexity of such combination can be very large because multiple discrete Fourier transform (DFT) blocks, each for one receive antenna, are required to fully take advantage of the space diversity. Reference Defeng Huang et al., (2004) proposed a receive space diversity architecture for OFDM systems using orthogonal designs. Using this architecture, the number of DFT blocks can be reduced but performance degradation will be introduced. In this paper, we propose space diversity schemes for space-time block coding (STBC) based multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems and frequency domain pre-equalization single-input multiple-output (SIMO) systems. These schemes can be used with OFDM and SC transmission techniques. Using these schemes, the total number of Fourier transform (FT) blocks can be further reduced and the performance can be significantly improved at higher signal-to-noise ratio. To this end, measurements are presented for two separate buildings, and compared to two existing path-loss models. Good agreement is found, especially with the COST-231 model, and the viability of using this model in micro cellular system design is assessed. In addition, it is shown how a near-constant loss of 28 dB is to be expected under perfectly grazing line-of-sight conditions. Both moment method and ray-tracing simulations are presented to explain this, and to provide a better understanding of the propagation mechanisms behind building penetration at UHF frequencies.","PeriodicalId":161972,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131214169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various kinds of component code combinations have been tested. I t is a useful rule of thumb for CDMA applications that more emphasis should be placed on the auto-correlat ion properties of Kronecker sequences than on their crosscorrelation properties, because emphasis on the la t ter easily detracts from the former. A Barker code as an outer code and a Gold or Kasami sequence as an inner code leads to sufficiently good auto-correlation and cross-correlation properties for asynchronous CDMA applications. The SNR performance is typically only about 0.5. ..1.0 dB poorer than using conventional sequences of equal length when E b / N O is about 15 dB. Sequences that are synthesized by the concatenation and interleaving methods from the members of a basic code pair (the kernel) of lengths 2, 10 and 26 are considered. It is demonstrated that by the use of the Berlekamp-Massey shift-register synthesis algorithm the linear complexity value of complementary sequences is at least 3/4 of the sequence length. For some sequence pairs the linear complexity value can be even 0.98 times the sequence length. In the light of these results complementary sequences are considered suitable for information security applications employing the spread-spectrum (SS) technique in which strong non-linearity and good statistical properties are required for pseudonoise (PN) sequences.","PeriodicalId":161972,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications","volume":"115 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127614175","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its robustness to frequency-selective fading could be adjusted by changing the SFBC coding size and adaptation unit. In this scheme, we extend the application of adaptive modulation into a MIMO-OFDM system in a simple way. Furthermore, a novel SFBC detection algorithm is proposed to reduce complexity for high order QAM employments. We simulate for SFBC-AOFDM with various MIMO settings and analyse the performance of both BCR and transmission efficiency.","PeriodicalId":161972,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126768346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The performance is evaluated for symmetric cell plans with different interference characteristics. It is found that the most serious threat to reliable handoffs is the risk of making handoffs to out-of-sight base stations on crossing streets. One conclusion is that for acceptable handoff performance in microcellular systems, handoff decisions should be based on a combination of the SIRs in both the uplink and the downlink.","PeriodicalId":161972,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125819009","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
