The `Second Screen comes to the Silver Screen' project sought to explore the feasibility of using second screen context within a real-time cinema context, in order to augment and enhance the audience experience. The project included a review of technological feasibility, a consumer survey and two case studies. The results of the consumer survey and case studies are presented in this paper, the conclusions of which indicate a significant level of audience concern regarding the potential distraction that would be caused by second screen technology within the cinema. Conversely, the study does indicate some appetite for the use of mobile technologies to improve the cinema experience more generally, indicating a possible basis for further investigation regarding how this can be achieved appropriately.","PeriodicalId":161782,"journal":{"name":"2015 Internet Technologies and Applications (ITA)","volume":"332 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120871377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Amplifier is the most energy consuming element in a system, where more than 50% of the power produce is converted to heat energy as a waste. This situation gradually affects other devices in the transmitter system and can result to system performance reduction. A technique needs to be employed for dynamic amplification to counter balance the cost of energy consumption from base station and improve long battery life of the mobile equipment. This research presents a design of energy efficient balanced power amplifier to operate over the centre frequency of 2655MHz mobile LTE band, using Lateral MOSFET Transistor. In line up achievement, PAE is greater than 50% at 41dBm output power with 14dB transducer power gain, while achieving up to -59Bc linearized adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) at 5190MHz, using a WLAN IEEE 802.16 OFDM Transceiver system.","PeriodicalId":161782,"journal":{"name":"2015 Internet Technologies and Applications (ITA)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130828536","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Today, the creative process also occurs on mobile devices and places a greater emphasis on remixing elements of others' work. Traditional digital media file formats are poorly suited for this environment. Digital Composite Technology (DCX) is a framework for the creation of digital media in a mobile-first, cloud-connected world. DCX organizes creative works as a set of components. Component media types and relations are recorded in a well-known syntax, which furthers remix as part of the creative process. DCX also introduces network transfer algorithms that guarantee efficient, correct synchronization using standard cloud-scale storage services and web protocols. Taken together, these capabilities enable seamless creativity across mobile, desktop, and cloud.","PeriodicalId":161782,"journal":{"name":"2015 Internet Technologies and Applications (ITA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131079755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The knowledge of the indoor environment geometric and martial properties led to such site specific modeling. We assess the simulated data by comparing the predicted received power with real filed measurements. The good agreement between the predicted received power and the real field measurements suggests that a well designed site specific model can be used reliably to predict the system behavior. Any possible improvements of the performance of the gas turbine engines would help to minimize the world's annual fossil fuel consumption and hence the emissions of the adverse greenhouse gases. Therefore, modelling and simulation of gas turbines have been a major focus of many fields in aviation to improve their performance. In this work, it is aimed to model a turbojet gas turbine engine theoretically and computationally. On this basis, the pre-established equations were implemented in MATLAB Simulink to create a model of a turbojet engine. The influence of atmospheric conditions was also taken into account in creating the model. Furthermore, GasTurb was used to study the turbojet engines and provided useful results to explore the engine performance. The theoretical and Simulink models were in a good agreement within reasonable limits which verifies the correctness of the Simulink model established in this paper. Therefore, the proposed model can be used in investigating the performance of various types of turbojet engines without performing time taking theoretical calculations.","PeriodicalId":161782,"journal":{"name":"2015 Internet Technologies and Applications (ITA)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126617682","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
