Mobile based cloud computing is getting greater plea amid mobile users to lessen limitations of resource in mobile devices. The extensive espousal of programmable smart mobile handsets and communicating or exchanging data to Internet remaining in public domain leads to newer privacy and security challenges across enterprises. Smartphones and Tablets are not only storing users' private data but also the private data of the involvers - be it friends, family members, customers, vendors or any other individual. Denial of services, data leakage, account confiscation, exposure to insecure application program interface, isolation of virtual machine, mischievous attacks from insider, losing the key used in encryption give rise to several added threats related to privacy and security. We have attempted to compute a number of threats pertaining to privacy and security and commend best practices and endorsements to counter and prevent occurrence.","PeriodicalId":161306,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Recent Trends in Information Systems (ReTIS)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122328194","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using Monte-Carlo simulations critical design metrics of various 9T SRAM cells are estimated. UV9T (ultralow voltage 9T SRAM cell) offers shortest read delay and DF9T (disturb-free 9T SRAM cell) exhibits longest read delay. SF9T (supply feedback 9T SRAM cell) offers shortest write delay and DFsub9T (disturb-free subthreshold 9T SRAM cell) shows longest write delay. SF9T consumes lower write power compared to other cells. RSNM (read static noise margin) of DF9T, DFsub9T and UV9T are same and equal to 230 mV as they are read decoupled. Although it is read decoupled, SF9T shows 2.19× lower RSNM due to supply gating. SF9T offers 1.70×, 1.68×, 1.21× higher WSNM compared to UV9T, DF9T and DFsub9T respectively. SF9T benefits from shorter write delay, lower write power consumption and higher WSNM at cost of lower RSNM. The designs offering lower read/write delay, write power, higher WSNM and RSNM are reported, to aid the designer in selecting the best cell depending on specific requirements.","PeriodicalId":161306,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Recent Trends in Information Systems (ReTIS)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126522293","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our objective is to minimize probability of error and find out optimum values of probability of occupancy detection or probability of detection and probability of false alarm. We use Genetic Algorithm to solve this optimization problem. The result is compared with Differential Evolution algorithm and it is evident from the comparison that DE finds better solution and takes much lesser number of evaluations to find optimum solution.","PeriodicalId":161306,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Recent Trends in Information Systems (ReTIS)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114182938","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The whole task was divided into two modules. Each module executes a specific task. In the first module, the algorithm was applied on a regular text, collected from the Bengali text corpus developed in the TDIL project of the Govt. of India and the accuracy of disambiguation process was obtained around 80%. In the second module, the whole training data and the test data were lemmatized and applying the same algorithm, around 85% accurate result was obtained. The output was verified with a previously tagged output file, generated with the help of a Bengali lexical dictionary. The implicational relevance of this study was attested in automatic text classification, machine learning, information extraction, and word sense disambiguation.","PeriodicalId":161306,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Recent Trends in Information Systems (ReTIS)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126992069","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An image fusion technique for face recognition is presented in this paper. Due to the topological structure of human face images, one can easily identify a face image by looking along the horizontal-vertical and also forward-backward directions. This indicates that there is enough relevant information available along those directions. To realize this, we generate the diagonal face image from the original face image and then combine them to get the fused image. Finally, we extract discriminant features from the fused images, which integrate the underlying discriminant information along those directions. This extracted feature vectors are applied on Radial Basis Function Neural Networks (RBF-NN) for classification and recognition. Experiments on the AT&T and UMIST face databases show that the proposed method can obtain a higher accuracy than some of the subspace-based methods.","PeriodicalId":161306,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Recent Trends in Information Systems (ReTIS)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131741548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Shake Table consists of 8 numbers of servo hydraulic actuators out of which four are vertical actuators and four are horizontal actuators. Four double Actuator Controller with dual CAN bus interfaces (DACCI) [1] are developed to control movement of servo hydraulic actuators. DACCI is having two independent CAN bus interfaces namely, CAN-A and CAN-B. All DACCIs are connected to CAN-A network. PC is also connected to CAN-A network. DACCI-A and DACCI-B are connected to CAN-B network. Another CAN-B network is used between DACCI-C and DACCI-D. This paper explains design and development of CAN-A and CAN-B network application layer protocols for transferring real time acquired data, transferring plot data, broadcasting commands and sending sensor data for control purpose.","PeriodicalId":161306,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Recent Trends in Information Systems (ReTIS)","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133340177","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We have defined 27 possible aspects and 3 possible sentiments in this domain. The task is to identify the aspects a specific reviewer is talking about and the sentiments he conveys. The words (terms) and the types (tags) of aspects are identified using a statistical sequence leveling technique (based on CRF) trained on 950 manually annotated sentences and the sentiments of a sentence are identified using a statistical bag-of-word technique (based on SVM) trained on 5450 manually annotated sentences. The association of sentiments with aspects is carried out using rules. The system identifies sentiment around aspect with 70.08% accuracy. This would help the customers to get the insight of the product he or she is looking for and the company to get the real VOC.","PeriodicalId":161306,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Recent Trends in Information Systems (ReTIS)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133484678","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This behavioral biometric trait is a challenge in designing the system that has to counter intrapersonal and interpersonal variations. In this paper, we propose a novel technique PCVOS: Principal Component Variances based Off-line Signature Verification on two critical parameters viz., the Pixel Density (PD) and the Centre of Gravity (CoG) distance. It consists of two parallel processes, namely Signature training which involves extraction of features from the samples of database and Test signature analysis which performs extraction of features from the test samples. The trained values from the database are compared with the features of the test signature using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The PCVOS algorithm shows a notable improvement over the algorithms in [21], [22] and [23].","PeriodicalId":161306,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Recent Trends in Information Systems (ReTIS)","volume":"232 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133533503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
