Some of the most important changes are here recalled (general political change, administrative reforms, professionalism, economic development, cultural policy) to outline the context characterizing change processes in the cultural heritage field. Working on the notion of Heritage Chain, possible impacts of this context on activities within the heritage chain are then investigated in terms of preservation, archaeological excavation, conservation, research, museums and sites access.","PeriodicalId":160959,"journal":{"name":"AARN: History & Ethnohistory (Topic)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124353706","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Working on a ‘laundry list’ of measures may even backfire. Each country is a human society or a civilization having values of its’ own. It is imperative to look for them as complementarities to any prescriptive economic solution. Indian’s approach of ‘slow and steady wins the game’ will keep it in great stead. It needs to work on certain structural impediments. Since their origin lies in the ‘de-learning’ of its cultural ethos, the solution needs to stress on a scientific ‘relearning’ of the same. Since Epics and contemporary philosophical writings speak of the ‘mode of thinking’ of the society at large, it would be useful to educate the current generation of Indians on those ideas. Since spiritual wealth was India’s competitive advantage over others when it was materially quite wealthy, it would be appropriate to accumulate them again to regain the same status as before. As such, solutions to issues in the nature of ‘sharing of economic wealth across the populace equally’, ‘imparting health and education as a social good to everyone’, ‘use of women as a massive economic force’ etc. may not be found through regression equations, one has to necessarily go back to the basics.","PeriodicalId":160959,"journal":{"name":"AARN: History & Ethnohistory (Topic)","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-01-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127978217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pur trattandosi di un caso gia ampiamente studiato dalla letteratura di merito archeologico e aziendale come best practice nel campo del management del patrimonio culturale, infatti, scarsa attenzione e stata ad oggi dedicata all’analisi dei fattori di innovativita della comunicazione al pubblico e al possibile sviluppo delle relazioni con gli stakeholder locali. Dopo aver illustrato il framework teorico di riferimento, avvalendosi di fonti primarie e secondarie, lo studio di caso si sofferma sui principali risultati raggiunti dal Sistema nel corso degli ultimi dieci anni. Successivamente, focalizzando l’attenzione sul processo di applicazione degli standard museali, si prendono in esame gli elementi di distintivita delle politiche di prodotto adottate, nonche i benefici conseguiti dall’organizzazione in rete. Particolarmente innovativi risultano i contenuti della comunicazione al pubblico, attenta alla trasmissione della vasta gamma del valore degli oggetti e all’esplicitazione del loro rapporto con il contesto di provenienza. Punto di forza della gestione e, inoltre, l’efficace collaborazione instaurata tra i diversi soggetti istituzionali coinvolti, da implementare ulteriormente ai fini della sopravvivenza del sistema. This paper examines the marketing strategies and business process management from “Sistema Parchi Val di Cornia” (Val di Cornia Park System). Even though this case study has been already described in literature on archeology and business economics as an example of best practice in cultural heritage management, little attention has been focused on analysis of the innovativeness of museum communication and the possible development of relationships with local stakeholders. After clarifying the theoretical framework and by considering primary and secondary data, the case study focuses on the most important results achieved by the System over the last ten years. The paper then focuses on the process of museum standards’ implementation, analysing the distinctiveness of product decisions and advantages of network organization. Communication contents are particularly innovative because they transmit the broad spectrum of value of cultural items and express the relationship with the original context. A strength of management is also the effective collaboration among different institutional actors, which has to be developed to ensure the System’s survival.","PeriodicalId":160959,"journal":{"name":"AARN: History & Ethnohistory (Topic)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130971327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
