Results. Childhood, student life, activity studied in the article based on archival sources B. Mametov. His life was full of struggle and struggle for the future of his country and difficulties. However, thanks to his hard work, professional skills, high qualifications and experience, he got out of any situation with dignity and served as an authoritative citizen, a faithful test of his people. Conclusions. Bazarbay Mametov's studies at the Vernensky Male Gymnasium of the Imperial Kazan University contributed to his formation as an educated and qualified specialist. Thanks to the acquired knowledge, he became a professional lawyer, an active participant in the national liberation movement of the beginning of the 20th century. Introduction . The article describes the course of political events of the early twentieth century in the northern region of Kazakhstan . Purpose and objectives. On the basis of materials introduced into scientific circulation, archival documents and periodicals of the early twentieth century, the history of the emergence of the Alash movement and the entry of the national intelligentsia into the arena of the political struggle for independence, the direction of the petition, reflection of the events of the February and October revolutions in the region is presented on a scientific basis. Results. In the course of the study, the materials of the newspaper Zhas Azamat were studied. It was possible to obtain valuable information on the socio-political activities, the spiritual heritage of the Alash figures M. Dulatov, M. Zhumabayev, Zh. Tleulin, A. Turlybayev, E. Itbayev and others who operated in the Kyzylzhar region. Mass meetings were held with their participation. Information was found on deputies elected to the State Duma. Conclusions. Based on archival documents, the authors established that in 1918-1919, Soviet power fell in Kyzylzhar and the policy of the Alash-Orda government was carried out. For example, one of these meetings with the participation of representatives of the national intelligentsia was held in July 1918 in the Akkusak parish (now Zhambyl district of the region).
