The paper presents a novel adaptive playout algorithm, designed to absorb network delay jitter by adaptive variation of the holding time of voice packets at the playout buffer. The algorithm requires no common time-reference between sender and receiver or special processing in the FR switches and has been optimized to operate in a mixed voice-data FR environment characterized by bursty interLAN Ethernet traffic. It meets the quality of service (QoS) requirements of conversational voice applications. With this method, a codebook with a large number of lattice points can be selected. As a result, the quality of the compressed image can be very high. For some images, our methods shows up to a 1.5 dB improvement in comparison with JPEG. The shunt type filter has many advantages over the series type in terms of device rating, size, and cost. In 12 cells they found a complex I/V relationship that showed two peaks at -46.9/spl plusmn/1.9 mV and -19.1/spl plusmn/1.6 mV and the mean amplitude of both was -5.1/spl plusmn/1.0 pA, In five cells the existence of two peaks was uncertain and the two remaining cells showed only one peak. In the I/V relationship showing two peaks both peaks were abolished by 200 /spl mu/M TTX. The I/V curves could be fitted to a model consisting of two different Na channels exhibiting window currents resulting from an overlap of the voltage range of steady state activation and inactivation. Four large families of approaches currently cover these capabilities. To combine their respective advantages the authors have developed a new approach seeking to confer greater autonomy on autonomous entities which should interact with a given environment and play a role in it. Ferroresonance is defined and the power network is modelled by a single-phase equivalent circuit feeding a transformer. Modelling takes account of magnetic saturation. The search for fixed points of the Poincare application of the system of network differential equations is used to localise the ferroresonant solutions. Perhaps the most obvious problem in these systems is how to specify queries on wanted multimedia document portions. Previously, we proposed a multimedia query language that describes the multimedia content portion to be retrieved based on the information of the media it contains as well as the temporal and spatial relationships between these media. In this paper, we introduce a visual user interface that could be developed on top of this query language. The main difficulties in controlling an autonomous vehicle are bound to the fact that vehicles usually have three degrees of freedom (two in position and one in orientation) in spite of having only two degrees of freedom for motion control. In order to control the robot in a pathkeeping goal, the authors developed a nonlinear feedback loop based on a tracking method.
