Traditional proportional integral derivative (PID) control cannot meet the control requirements of servo system when there is external disturbance and measurement noise in the system. In this paper, the mechanism and method of using improved disturbance observer (DOB) to eliminate the disturbance and noise are studied and applied to the control of speed servo system. Based on the traditional PID controller, simulations on MATLAB/Simulink and tests on Quanser semi-physical experiment platform are performed for the PID controller with and without improved DOB. Simulation and experimental results show that the improved DOB overcomes the problem of noise amplification in classical DOB and can effectively suppress external disturbance and noise at the same time.","PeriodicalId":158442,"journal":{"name":"2018 37th Chinese Control Conference (CCC)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116770026","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

High performance piezoelectric materials can improve the sensitivity of piezoelectric geophone and meet the need of high-resolution seismic data acquisition. The comprehensive performance of relaxor piezoelectric single crystal PMN-PT is more superior than PZT, and it is potential to be applied to high sensitivity and small volume geophones. In this paper, the central compressed geophone core model based on PMN-PT was established and theoretically analyzed. Then, a multiphysics simulation model was set up in COMSOL for simulation calculation. Finally, experimental verification was carried out. The results show that using PMN-PT in geophone core design can improve the sensitivity of the model by more than 120% compared with the traditional PZT material. The PMN-PT has the potential to be applied to high sensitivity and small volume geophones.","PeriodicalId":158442,"journal":{"name":"2018 37th Chinese Control Conference (CCC)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116894707","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although a lot of effort has been put into static network reconstructions, time-varying networks are rarely studied. Existing studies of time-varying networks usually assume nodes' dynamics to be linear or consider nodes' nonlinear dynamics as prior knowledge. In this paper, identification of time-varying weighted networks is discussed under the condition where network topology, link weights and nodes' nonlinear dynamics are all unknown or unavailable. In fact, networks in real world are naturally sparse which enables the transformation from network reconstruction problem into sparse signal recovering, so that $l_{1}$ regularization can be effectively applicable. Based on the assumption that most natural networks can be mathematically expressed by only a few important analytical functions, we construct a function set consisting of both linear and nonlinear candidate functions. Then LASSO is applied to select the possible function assemblies from the proposed set and optimize the coefficients of the corresponding function terms in order to best describe time-varying structures as well as nodes' nonlinear dynamics. To prove the feasibility and effectiveness of this reconstruction method, both two complex models are testified in networks of different sizes. And this method shows potential ability applying to a wide range of dynamical time-varying networks.","PeriodicalId":158442,"journal":{"name":"2018 37th Chinese Control Conference (CCC)","volume":"188 8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117177271","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The optimized generalized orthogonal iterative (GOI) algorithm is utilized for iterative solution such that it avoids the poor convergence or convergence failure problem caused by the weak perspective projection. The proposed technique only needs to observe the rocket nozzle at different orientations and the objective function based on the collinear error is established, thus the estimated parameters can be obtained subsequently. Finally, simulation and practical experiments are carried out simultaneously. By using the improved algorithm, within a space of $2mathrm{m}times 2mathrm{m}times 4mathrm{m}$., the maximum static error of the swing angles is superior to 0.085 ° and the maximum dynamic error is less than 0.13 °. The results verify the high accuracy and noise resistance performance of the proposed approach.","PeriodicalId":158442,"journal":{"name":"2018 37th Chinese Control Conference (CCC)","volume":"92 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120818846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different from most existing results in literature on continuous-time optimization, the lower bound of local convexity constants are unknown, and the requirement of weight-balanced communication structures is removed. An augmented Lagrangian function is designed to analyze the properties of optimal solutions over an asymmetric Laplacian matrix. Based on this analysis, a consensus-based algorithm is proposed to solve the distributed optimization problem on unbalanced directed graphs such that the algorithm asymptotically converges to optimal solutions. Furthermore, an algorithm is proposed to solve the distributed optimization problem on unbalanced time-varying communication topologies. A novel Lyapunov function including a semi-positive definite term is designed to establish the convergence analysis of this algorithm. By exploring certain features of positive invariance sets and asymmetric Laplacian matrices, sufficient conditions for the convergence are established. Two experiments are carried out on a distributed microcomputer platform, thus validating the proposed algorithms.","PeriodicalId":158442,"journal":{"name":"2018 37th Chinese Control Conference (CCC)","volume":"230 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120941187","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The more precise prediction of traffic status is, the better we can settle the problems. The prediction of traffic flow is more valuable than traffic speed because of its characteristic of directivity. In this paper, in order to further improve predicting accuracy, we utilize the conception of association rule to discover regions that have strong correlation to neighboring regions. Then adding the neighboring regions information into the original regions diverging flow prediction. On the basis of Variable-order Markov Model (VOMM), integrating the correlation information as the impact factor, we finally process a novel predicting method IF-VOMM method. In this paper, we use a node aggregation approach to overcome the computational complexity in verifying observability for networks with special structures. First, we define a class of network node aggregations with compatible observability. It is proven for this class of aggregations, the whole BCN being observable does not imply that all corresponding subnetworks are observable, and vice versa. Second, when the aggregations are acyclic, we prove that all corresponding subnetworks being observable implies that the overall BCN is observable, although the converse is not true. Third, we show that finding acyclic aggregations with small subnetworks can tremendously reduce the computational complexity in verifying observability. Finally, we use a BCN T-cell receptor kinetics model from the literature with 37 state nodes and 3 input nodes to illustrate the efficiency of these results. For this model, we derive the unique minimal set of 16 state nodes needed to be observed to make the overall BCN observable.","PeriodicalId":158442,"journal":{"name":"2018 37th Chinese Control Conference (CCC)","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127182476","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
